Quick stay

We needed one night in Key Largo where we could relax and take in the sights and sounds of the Keys prior to our departure. This was the perfect location.

The place was very nice with 2 exceptions 1, the girl on the day of check in was very rude. They other ladies over the weekend were delightful and so welcoming. 2, the toilet had feces on it. Overall, it was good and we were close to everything in the area.

Good Location in Key Largo

We had a nice visit. There were plenty of amenities (kayaks, bikes, etc). The property is a hotel, and while not like a typical VRBO, the front desk was helpful, restaurants are walking distance, and great views of the sunset!!

Relaxing few days away

My only complaint would be that our room did not have a view of the water. Very quiet and clean. Employees were very nice. Would stay again.

Nice friendly local Inn with private beach

We very much enjoyed our stay at the local Inn downtown with a private beach with free paddle boards, kayaks and bikes to rent. The room was big enough with a fridge. It was clean, the AC worked and the bed was compfy and i did not hear any neighbors. We tried to get pool towels a few times, but to our prevail they were available. The ice machines did not work both days, however one of the mornings the staff got me ice from the back office. The staff was very helpful, kind and friendly. But it seemed generally understaffed as the staff there has to work very hard. I saw the front desk person clean a room. If we go back to Key Largo, we will stay there again.

pro's and con's

Pros: A lovely small beach, with bicycles and kayaks available for use, plus a gym.Cons: The room had a musty smell, and there was mold in the air conditioner. The drawer handles were rusted, and the floor was extremely dirty. After stepping out of the shower, the towel I stood on turned black on the side that touched the floor. It seems like neither the room's tile floor nor the tiles in the hallways have ever been cleaned. Absolute filth. I stood on my shoes to change cloths so my feet would not touch the floor.

This is a nice place in a good location but we had several issues. The issues were bad enough, and took enough time from our vacation, to have gotten a free night or something, at least. Instead, we got nothing except for a slightly better view when we were forced to change rooms. Tacky. We left pretty unhappy.
Locked out! Door went dead. Had to bust the door down.
Great spot to watch sunset.

Wonderful room with amazing sunsets. Looks like they are in the process of updating outdoor areas. Some pool furniture had tears in it.

There was no beach there, the view was not that great. My room was never cleaned during my stay, nor supplied with coffee and fresh towels. The staff was very friendly.

First Day

This was our first stop on our way down to Marathon & Key West. The hotel was in a nice area, with a great restaurant next door, Snook's. The hotel was clean, nice pool & had a little beach area. This would have been a 5 star review if the check process had not been so weird. My husband and I walked into the office and told the receptionist our names. We asked if the room was possibly ready and she stated that the reservation had been cancelled. I paused for a minute to let her tell me she was just kidding but she continued on. I asked how come no one contacted me and she just smiled. Then she said it was cancelled because of the health department. At this point I was about to lose my mind and then she said just kidding. I stated I am glad she finally said that because I was going to loose my mind. I re-grouped and decided not to let this person ruin the first day of our vacation. Not sure what the problem was but this was not funny. I work in customer service all day & would never treat someone that way. Overall nice place to stay.
