The Colbert Farm House byggdes 1887 av Adam Roland, den stora farfadern av den nuvarande ägaren, Harold Colbert och har varit i familjens ägo i fyra generationer. Gården Huset ligger på Coder Road, två miles väster om Calvin.

Den rustika, avskilda åtta rum bondgård ligger i vackra Trough Creek Valley. Huset har 4 sovrum med två drottning storlek sängar och två fulla storlek sängar. Rummen är inredda med Rustik ceder-log möbler. Solen Rummet är utrustat med en gasspis, och är en idealisk plats för att titta på vilda djur. Den 150 tunnland gård gränsar State Game Lands.

Wonderful old farmhouse

Our group really enjoyed our 10 night stay. Was like stepping back in time. Beautiful property with a spring house right out back. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Came to the area for a wedding.

The house was in a secluded area as advertised. We had a bit of a drive to the wedding venue through hilly winding roads. The house was very spacious but a bit musty.

Perfect for quiet getaway

The property is beautiful and the house has everything you need for your stay. The location is pretty remote so it is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Another bonus is that the property is pet friendly and my 2 dogs had a great time as well! Would absolutely go back.

Our time at the Colbert Farm was amazing! We spent it all outside, playing Cornhole and enjoying a nice campfire. The Colbert’s have a very beautiful place, highly recommend!

Perfect private getaway to the not to far from lake

The house was just a described. A Secluded rustic farmhouse. It was perfect, we had privacy room for our big dogs to play and plenty of land for the teens to explore and hike when not at the lake .

Perfect for some not as much for others

The place was good for what we wanted. It definitely flirts with the line between rustic and rusty but it has charm if you have the right lens. Price also reflects that house isnt updated. The Property itself is beautiful and private. Nice outdoor areas to grill/picnic. Cell reception spotty. If youre a neat freak you probably wont consider this place super clean but it was fine for us. Communication with host was a little inconsistent but they seem kind. I Would recommend but definitely depends on your style.

Lovely place to stay

We arrived to find the power was out which left us with no cell service but this was no fault of the owner. There were fiber optic lines being put in until 130am so we had to listen to chainsaws and a bit of noise. It was quite the family comical adventure. Besides that the property was beautiful and the house was absolutely lovely. The best place we have stayed at by far. Close enough to our family yet far enough to be in our own little world. We will definitely be planning a return trip. Thank you for sharing the estate with us.

Quiet / Secluded

If you're looking for a quiet and remote place to stay, look no further. This is a clean, comfortable, older home, and almost everything in the home is old, but everything works and it is clean! Spotty cell service so a great place to be "off the grid" and enjoy the peace and quiet. Large families will benefit from the large dining room table and four bedrooms. We will definitely try to book this home again the next time we're in the area.

Relaxing place to stay

My family of 5 just returned from staying at this charming farmhouse for 4 nights. It is stocked with everything you need--and then some! It is great having room enough for all of us to spread out, unlike in a hotel room. It is close enough to area attractions, but then you can come back to the house and relax after being out for the day. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire at night. The sun room was very spacious and offers a wonderful view of the feeding area for the wildlife. Harold was very helpful in answering our questions about things to do in the area and is a very nice gentleman.

very relaxing long weekend..

My family of 6 stay here and we had a very relaxing time. Very seclude and private. The only small issue was, which for me whats not an issue at all. But my twin boys 9, didn't like 1960 model TV they had at the house. Other than that kids and mom had a nice time.

Very rustic

Very old home with a lot of room. It served my family well for the price for the weekend. The house wasn't particularly clean. It is a very lived in family home. I don't think it has been lived in in a long time, but could use a thorough cleaning. There are only ACs in 2 of the upstairs rooms and 1 downstairs room. There are not many outlets upstairs. Some of the electrical stuff is a bit dodgy due to the age. The mattresses arent great. Overall it was a good value.
