Your romantic waterfront getaway awaits you in this gorgeous private guest home on one of the most impressive waterfront properties in Washington. Wake up in your king-sized memory foam bed to golden sunrises over the Puget Sound. This guesthouse is detached from the main home and tucked away behind a gated French Chateau style estate in a quiet picturesque neighborhood. One mile from the Harbor and downtown shops, restaurants and breweries.

Guest home has a full-sized kitchen complete with everything you need to make a great cup of coffee or romantic dinner. Comfy living room area perfect for unwinding and snuggling in with a good book or movie. Stunning Italian marble bathroom with double vanity, walk-in-shower and full-sized washer and dryer. Home has 2 electric based wall heating units located in the living room and bedroom and a fireplace in the living room.

Meander around the meticulously kept gardens of the main home and don't forget to catch some "Morning Therapy" by watching the stunning sunrises, complete with Mount Rainier, Vashon Island and Point Defiance Views. Orca whales, harbor seals, porpoises, and bald eagles are all common visitors in this beautiful high bank waterfront backyard along Colvos Passage in the quiet community of Gig Harbor, Washington!

Breathtaking views

My husband and I had a quick weekend getaway from our crazy life’s. The property was beautiful and meticulously maintained! Definitely set up as a “romantic cottage”. The hosts were amazing and easy to communicate with. And the views were breathtaking! Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Gig Harbor getaway

My son and I came stay a couple of days in Gig Harbor and were so very lucky to rent this property. One of the most amazing rentals I’ve ever stayed in. The owners were also very accommodating by offering an additional air mattress for my son. Will definitely be looking forward to staying here again if they will have us.

The most amazing stay

From the minute we entered the palatial gate, we felt like we were in a storybook. The French provincial accommodation surrounded by beautiful gardens is just the beginning. Our host Shannon and Lorne welcomed us with a tour of the gorgeous view of the Puget sound. The interior was just as amazing. We will definitely be back!!

Slice of paradise

Lorne and Shannon were great hosts and very helpful. The property was exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. It was so relaxing as well. We would love to stay here again and encourage anyone traveling to this area to check it out. The view and gardens are amazing and we saw a beautiful full moon rising over the harbor. Our stay at this incredible home was perfect. The location is close enough to town, but no traffic noise. The views across the sound were so beautiful. The owners were very attentive and the house was well stocked and it was so comfortable. This is a gem. Put this home on your must visit list!

Phenomenonal Property

The Guest House itself was spectacular. This is a one King bedroom house with a very comfortable layout through out. It truly is a perfect size for a couple. The kitchen is well supplied and there is a laundry room. The shower is awesome, and the bathroom vanity is beautiful. But most of all - The View. Whoa! We spent every glorious afternoon out back watching the boats go by on the Sound, and the small aircraft coming for landing at the Tacoma Narrows Regional Airport. And when the clouds were right - Mt Rainer was there in the background. It was magnificent!

Absolute Paradise

Shannon made our getaway even better than we imagined. She had a bottle of wine and dry sodas in the fridge. She even picked fresh figs off her tree for us to enjoy! The grounds are well manicured with views for days. Just relax and make unforgettable memories here!

Wonderful stay!

The Chateau by the Sea was the perfect place to explore around beautiful Gig Harbor - tucked behind a gate in the guesthouse of an exclusive, waterfront property (with exquisite landscaping!), the rental was comfortable, clean, and lovely. It reminded us of Italy. Shannon was a thoughtful and friendly host with an eye for detail and extra little touches that made our stay warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway

I have stayed in many VRBO's over the years, this was by far the best. Home is exactly as described by host. Absolutely beautiful setting, many amenities in the kitchen, comfy bed and views, views, views! I was looking for a rejuvenation weekend, could have stayed another week it was so sublime. Hello! I am Shannon, your primary host, along with my husband Lorne. We were on vacation and in this very backyard on a garden tour when we decided that Gig Harbor was where we wanted to live. Little did we know, this would be the exact home we would move into 3 years later (by many twists of fate). It is our absolute pleasure to have this opportunity to share Gig Harbor with you by renting our guest home.
