Original rough sawn ceiling joist are exposed, with the builder's layout marks clearly visible on the ceiling highlight the main living area where you can relax on the sofa. Along with the flat-screen TV, scorching fast 1 gigabit per second fiber internet (1000 Mbps) is available for streaming.
The space
After a day of exploring the mountains or desert around Escalante, wash the trail dust off in a warm shower and let your muscles recover during a peaceful nights rest on the queen size bed. Open the windows at night to experience the 30-40 degree cooldown from the warm temperature of the daytime and the night sounds of a rural community. View the expanse of space from the back patio. When hunger strikes, the well-equipped kitchen boasts a to-scale fridge, range, microwave, sink, and plenty of dishware, so it won't be a struggle whipping up some of your favorite recipes in this small space. In the morning, make yourself a pot of coffee and head outside to watch the sunrise paint the walls of the Escalante River canyon or surrounding mountains.

Historic charmer

Quiet, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed. Easy access to everything. I loved that they provided the history of the home. They have done a great job with the place.

The little house

It is a wonderful studio house! Loved everything about it. Was able to stay warm with the extra space heater ( got down to 22). Definitely would stay here again.

Escalante visit

We spent a few days exploring the slot canyons in the area. The Tiny House was a great base location and worked fine for the two of us. It would have been nice to have a couple more chairs for when friends stopped by.

Escalante getaway

We were in escalante for the weekend to hike and the little house was perfect for us ! It had everything we needed and was nice to come back to at the end of the day. The host has preserved a great piece of local history ! Great town , great place , great host! Would definitely recommend for anyone to visit

Little”Big” House

As we traveled the west visiting National Parks the Little House was Big on accommodating on our needs. A beautiful stay at the Grand Staircase! Very clean and comfortable. Would recommend to others.

The Perfect Place!

The Little House was truly perfect for two people! The house is very clean, the neighborhood is quiet, and the home has everything you will need. Melani was very kind and easy to communicate with. If we ever return to Escalante, we will be staying here again!

Absolutely adorable!

It's always hard to tell from the pictures, but when we pulled into the driveway after dark, by husband and I started to chuckle and we both said "It's adorable!" It's small (as stated) but has room for a bed, love seat, kitchen area and small bathroom, with plenty of room to move around in. The fridge is large enough to hold full size milk jugs. There is a small stove/oven and a microwave. There is no washer/dryer and no room to put one. The house is very tastefully decorated and has a history included in the binder of other information. Thank you for having this cute house available! We'd definitely reserve it again if we're in the area and need it!

Heavenly Little House

Our stay in Melani's little house was fantastic. We enjoyed reading the history of the house. I'm a big fan of perserving the past. The house was thoughtfully stocked and delightfully decorated. Melani and her family suggested a couple of great hikes in the area, and a wonderful place for dinner and breakfast. We hope we can stay in this heavenly little house again. Thank You!!!

You’ve found the spot, stop looking and just book it, seriously!

The little house has a perfect 5 star rating for a reason. You can tell it was put together with thought and care. Great use of space, comfortable, exceptional clean (this is normally my biggest complain with rentals, but not this one!) and easy to cook meals. Everything in the house is quality, no skipping like so many other rentals. Good value for money. Can easily walk to Main Street. Nice bench out back for watching sunsets.

Hiking HQ

This little house was THE perfect place for myself and a hiking buddy! It was pretty central to the area for the parts of Escalante Staircase we wanted to explore, whether going W-SW to Bryce or to the E-NE to Singing Slot and the most northern end of ES National Monument. The host was FANTASTIC to work with, and, in fact, was quite PRO-active a few times. I felt like they really wanted us to have a great experience and that they took upon themselves to make us feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. Goal achieved! Should I come back to this area and explore some more (this is my 3rd time in this quadrant of Utah, so it's likely!), I will look for this property's availability again. Just a GREAT experience here! Thank you!

Quaint, historic home

The Little House has to be one of my favorite stays in a VRBO. The quaintness, the decor, the history, and the superior cleanliness of it all make it such an enjoyable experience! It is a very clean space and well taken care of. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. The bed is comfortable and there is space to spread out and relax. The owner immerses you with the story of the history of the place and it just makes the whole experience more like an "experience" than just a stay in a VRBO. We had a question to ask the owner and she got back with us immediately with great suggestions. If we are ever through Escalante again, this will be the place we hope to stay in!

Small but didn't matter.

Little house was small in stature but huge in comfort and coziness. Only stayed one nite but could have spent more time for sure. Immaculate and well equipped. Had all amenities needed. Bed very comfortable.

Cute little house!

This was the perfect spot for two adults. The furniture was comfortable and we had everything we needed. There is some interesting history to the house itself that the host provided. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Escalante.

Awesome base camp for national parks!

The Little House served as a wonderful central place to call home while we explored Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks, as well as Kodachrome State Park. We had a great time and were happy knowing we had a comfortable place to rest in between. Location is awesome, all parks are within two hours of this little cottage. Everything we need was there. When we had our one and only problem, or host was a quick, responsive problem solver. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

A perfect base for Escalante hiking

We stayed in this sweet little home for 4 nights as a base for multiple big hikes in the Grand Staircase Escalante NM. The location could not be more perfect in terms of proximity to restaurants and groceries, as well as proximity to amazing wilderness and canyons. The house has everything you need, is beautifully decorated and maintained, and Melani responded quickly and graciously to all of our questions. A wonderful stay, we would definitely come again.

Early Spring trek to Grand Staircase

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful two nights at the Little House. We had everything we needed and Melani was great to provide a heads up on the access to the local grocery store since we came in late on a Sunday. Enjoyed hiking to the falls near Lower Calf Creek and would book again for sure. If you are lucky enough to get a taste her cookies, they are amazing. :) Walt Hammett

Host is the best

This was our second stay at the little house, our host Melani, is great. The house is clean and exactly as advertised. Melani even gave us produce from her garden and apple tree. Best place to stay in Escalante!
