Two-story hillside home witha full kitchen upstairs and a kitchenette downstairs. Two master bedrooms, two baths and a kids room downstairs. Gorgeous views of the EB lake. Decking around half the house with a rebuilt, large viewing deck on the lakeside. Plenty of room inside and outside for all the family and their water toys or boat and trailer. The new deck is sturdy and sustainable with Trex deck boards. New dual pane windows for better views and reduced energy use. 1/2 acre fenced lot with a newly paved road. We're only about a 1/2 mile from Hot Springs Landing and very popular launching and camping area.

Lake/Boat trip

Enjoyed our stay. Dogs loved the big,fenced yard. Pulling our pontoon boat in and out of the property was a little tight, but we got it done and had four full days of boating fun.

Memorial Day weekend

Great view

With a grand view of Elephant Butte Lake, a big fenced in yard for my dogs, and a few minutes from trails around the lake, this house was a welcome winter respite.

Holiday hunting/family trip

This was a perfect place for an extended family trip. Took in Carlsbad Caverns, white sands NP, and Elephant Butte Lake. Hunting was incredible. Beautiful town and a lot of fun to be had.

Perfect!

The pictures do not do this home justice. It is spacious and lovely. The extra perks (dog kennel & water bowl, extra tables, outdoor chairs and more) made it that much better. Look forward to staying here again.

Captain's quarters

The stay was beautiful, and the house was very comfortable. My only complaint is trying to message back and forth with Vrbo. I found it confusing and tedious. The host was great with this issue and texted my phone number, which gave me instant results. Nice man!!

Annual Butte Trip

Great stay will likely book next summer. Only reason it wasn’t five stars was the oven was broke. I love to cook and had plans to use it. Owner was upfront about it, tried to get it fixed and gave a partial refund. So no hard feelings on that end.

Amazing location, accommodations & hospitality

Excellent! I would recommend Captain's Quarters to anyone! I guess you would classify us a long term renters as we stayed for 4 weeks! Upon arrival, the place was very clean and welcoming. The instructions left on the wall were very helpful including emergency numbers. It was also so very convenient to have Lorna just next door in case we needed something. Randall was great in staying in communication with us. Check in and out was very easy. Everything was there that we needed, including a few food supplies to get us through the first day. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Elephant Butte or the T or C area! The location was perfect for our New Mexico adventure. Joanne

So blessed to find this gem!

Originally we were poised to stay at a home in Truth or Consequences. The plan was to go there and enjoy the hot springs.?However, my wife was also wanted to explore Elephant Butte Lake because she was interested in doing some fishing there in the future. So I did a search and found the Captain’s Quarters. We are so happy we did! We had a wonderful view of the lake every morning as we had our coffees and watched the sunrise. It’s close to town, so we could go to the art galleries, museums, and other local attractions. We also were able to explore the lake and the ranger there gave us lots of info! Our place was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Our last day there we stayed in and had a relaxing time there. Randall was quick to respond to our texts and is one of the nicest hosts ever. We highly recommend this place!
