Newly renovated 112 year old historic home located in desirable Shaw neighborhood. Within minutes of Missouri Botanical Garden, Tower Grove Park and Forest Park, Wild Carrot banquet hall, Busch Stadium, Enterprise Center, SLU, Union Station, and several great local restaurants. Home is located on a quiet one way street with gated driveway/backyard parking. Kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary dining and cooking utensils. Plenty of soft fluffy bath towels. Brand new 5 ton air conditioner to keep you cool in the summer and radiant heat to keep you nice and toasty warm in the winter. Wonderful outdoor deck area with gas firepit. Fully fenced backyard for children to play or your
four legged doggy family members to relax.

Charming house in great neighborhood

We stayed at this charming house to attend a wedding. It was the perfect location for us. The house is in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood and had everything we needed. We walked to Fiddleheads for breakfast and highly recommend this delightful cafe for breakfast.

Great stay for SLU Family Weekend

This was the perfect stay for SLU family weekend. Great walkable neighborhood. Close to campus and Forest Park. Everything we needed plus the amazing outdoor space. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay!

Loved our family time (including dog) at this Shaw neighborhood home. Area felt safe, there’s a great park at the end of the street, friendly neighbors, easy drive to other areas of the city. Host was easy to reach, all the comforts of home both inside & out. We would happily stay here again!

great neighborhood and house

We had a fantastic stay for a long weekend in St. Louis. Older house that you can tell the owners have invested time and money into renovating. Fenced in yard was a huge bonus for the dogs to run around and play. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance as well as a large park that is very active.

Beautiful Historic Home

Beautiful historic home near everything in STL. We were attending a wedding at Wild Carrot and it was a short block away. It is located in a quiet safe neighborhood and we were able to walk there in full suit and dress! The rooms were comfy and spacious for an older home. There was plenty of space indoor and outdoor and the owners had the place stocked quite well!

Fabulous

The home is lovely and the backyard area is even better it is where we spent the most time! The house has everything you need and located in a great area to get to thing’s conveniently! The owner Jim was fast to respond with a answer to a question! Would absolutely recommend for a family and love that they have a fenced in yard great for dogs!!

Perfect Spot

We loved staying at Homeaway for our trip to St Louis. The home is beautiful, had the perfect amount of space for my wife, our two young children, and my mother in law, to spread out. The backyard is completely fenced in, so we were able to bring our small dog with as well. In addition to the house itself, the location is perfect if you’re trying to explore all the city has to offer. We were no more than ten minutes away from every major attraction we wanted to visit. We would definitely look to stay at Homeaway again if /when we return to St Louis!

Outstanding Experience

The house was fantastic and fit four adults and two dogs perfectly. The owner, Jim, was extremely nice with great communication. He makes it clear that the house is also their part-time residence and, though you can tell someone lives there, it's not a nuisance or issue at all. The house was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. The neighborhood is very nice with lots of good walking, plus its very close to both Forest Park and downtown. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this place! You won't be disappointed.

Attending a wedding in Waterloo, IL over Labor Day weekend

We had a wedding to over Labor Day weekend. Our children are now 24 and 21 and the thought of the four of us all getting ready in a hotel room just was not going to cut it. This was our first time with a Vrbo. We will never go back to a hotel. Hoping all places are as nice as this place.! The house was so roomy and comfy and in a quite neighborhood. Everything we needed for morning breakfasts. It was so nice after being out for the day to come back and watch tv on a couch (not hotel bed) and be able to play games on the table (not the hotel lobby) Unfortunately Mother Nature was not on our side so we did not get to enjoy the fire pit or patio. Our stay was wonderful! If I had to give 1 suggestion (I realize this is their part time home) maybe a dresser that guests could use and a little more closet space. Just so we could unpack some clothes. We were there for 4 nights.

lovely family weekend!

me, my mother, and my mother in law all stayed in the house over the weekend. The neighborhood was so lovely and close to everything! the house was awesome and stayed really cool even during a massive heat wave. I definitely would book this house again

SLU Spring Soccer weekend

We stayed here for a weekend in April with some family to watch my niece play soccer. The house is great for a group, in a really nice neighborhood, and the backyard is perfect for dogs!

Great for hanging out with family

The house being centrally located was helpful for our family to be out and about during the day and then come back and hang out together at the house. We were even able to walk to a coffee shop nearby in the morning. Jim was very communicative and helpful throughout the stay.

Great location! Very clean!

The place was very clean and well maintained. Mostly quiet, nice neighborhood. Close to most attractions. Owner was very easy to communicate with and we will definitely be staying here again!
