## Emplacement
Cogolin is a French commune located in the Var department, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, between Saint-Tropez and Sainte-Maxime. The town lies at the heart of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, and is home to the headquarters of the Golfe de Saint-Tropez community of municipalities. Leaning against the last foothills of the Massif des Maures, on the shores of the Golfe de St Tropez, Cogolin is fortunate to be a stone's throw from the sea (and the mythical Saint-Tropez), to have a charming old village, a modern port converted into a marina and an international reputation for its pipe and carpet factories.
