Charming Cape Cod cottage in the heart of the Driftless region of southwestern Wisconsin. The quaint village of Montfort is just 15 minutes from Dodgeville and Platteville. Explore the Mississippi River valley to the west, the historic community of Galena, Illinois, to the south, Frank Lloyd Wright's home at Taliesin to the north, and many beautiful parks and lakes nearby. Grant County is home to some of the best trout fishing waters and ATV/UTV trails in Wisconsin. Madison is an easy hour's drive. Or just sit back and relax in a rocking chair on our shaded front porch. Discounts available for weekly and monthly rentals.

Great place to stay

This was our second time staying here and once again we enjoyed our time. Quiet neighborhood and close to all the streams we were fishing. Very clean and Tom is a wonderful host. Look forward to going back next year.

Great Stay!

Had a very pleasant stay, home was clean and as described. It was great to be able to use the garage for parking our motorcycles inside overnight for the weekend.

Cute Cottage in a nice small town

We had a wonderful trip to Montfort. This house was clean, charmingly decorated and comfortable. Instructions for checking in were clear, and the host was very responsive in helping me add an additional night to our stay. While it's a tiny town, the cottage was nicely situated near a public school and just down the street from a bar and grill with excellent burgers.

Cozy house

House was clean and cozy but slightly musty, one of us had allergies flare up as soon as entering. Communication with owner and manager was excellent. Except for yhe allergies, we enjoyed our stay.

Roomy, Yet Cozy Cottage

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Driftless Cottage. The house was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and felt like home. Everything was as described in the listing, and it was great to have an equipped kitchen and washer/dryer to cook a few meals, and do some laundry. Highly recommended.

Comfortable house in Montfort

We had an enjoyable stay at the Driftless Cottage. Very easy check-in! We enjoyed hanging out in the living room and using the dining room table for games and meals. Great kitchen with everything that you might need. Smart tv and good internet were appreciated. Great place at a great price - thank you!

Nice house and location

Bed was super uncomfortable so bought a mattress topper and left it. But nice old craftsman style house. Clean. Super cute fridge. Nice location with easy access to grocery store, good food, highway. Nice quiet neighborhood!

We really enjoyed the small town environment and overall amenities of the Driftless Cottage. The guest book was very helpful and the kids loved the bunk bed. It was also nice to not have to worry about laundry at the end of the stay!!! We did not have time to swim, but the Expedia page does show a communist pool is available somewhere. Adding the address would be helpful for if we stay again!!

Small town experience

The house was clean and well stocked. Property owners were very responsive to our queries and gave suggestions about the local attractions. The house is old, but the rooms were well decorated. We had a nice time. Thank you Tom and Nina.

Driftless home

We enjoyed the several days we stayed in this well-kept older home in the town of Montfort. Spacious and comfortable. Convenient garage. Modern heating and cooling. Well equipped kitchen. We'll stay here again hopefully!
