Walking in to the rental you got hit with musty moldy air smell. The floors were covered with sand and the bed was broke sinking in the center. The shower curtain rod also broken along with noticeable mold on the ceiling and lamp shade. I assume you get what you pay for in this case.

Thank you for your feedback. We were surprised by these comments because none of these concerns were reported during your stay, so we were never given an opportunity to inspect or address them. Our cleaning team documents every turnover with before-and-after photographs. The photographs taken following your departure show the bed standing normally and the shower curtain and rod still in place. The bed is a high-quality, expensive bed, and we have never received a previous complaint that it was broken or sinking. The photographed areas also do not show the mold described in this review. The after-cleaning photographs show the unit thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the next guest. While we understand that comfort preferences can vary, the description of broken items is not consistent with the documented condition of the unit. This is a privately owned oceanfront condominium at the Caravelle Resort, and we take the cleanliness, comfort, and maintenance of our property seriously. Had these concerns been communicated during the stay, we would have responded promptly.

It was a nice stay; room was clean & great location plus the room was really cool and dry (after braving the Myrtle Beach heat and humidity). Parking was a bit hectic - I would suggest parking over in the garage across the street.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the view, location, amenities, and found the stay to be a wonderful value. We’re sorry to hear you had trouble with the TV — we would’ve been happy to assist had we known during your stay. We noticed the 1-star rating doesn’t seem to match your kind comments, so if it was accidental, we’d be grateful if you’d consider updating it. Either way, we truly appreciate you staying with us and would love to host you again!

This was by far the worst trip I 've taken to the beach and its usually a wonderful experience for us. The room was dirty and you could tell it hadn't been stayed in for some time. When I brought it to the owner's attention she simple brushed it off I don't recommend this place to anyone. Do not waste your money with her; you will be very disappointed. There is no Seaside Serenity here or Luxurious to this room.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you felt this way about your stay, as that was not the experience reflected during your check-in. You arrived early and were personally guided into the room in real time, where you expressed that everything was satisfactory. Additionally, I followed up shortly after—before my cleaning team left the building—to ensure you had everything you needed, and again later that evening. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response or indication of any concerns during your stay. It’s also important to clarify that early check-in is not included and must be paid for in advance. No payment was received for early access, despite it being granted. I take great pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming space for all guests, and I always make myself available to address any concerns immediately. Had any issues been communicated during your stay, they would have been promptly resolved. Wishing you the best in your future travels.

Enjoyed ourselves

The unit was clean and in a good location. The property owner was available for any questions or concerns. Only thing I wish was in the unit was dishwashing liquid. Very pleased with our experience.

Thank you so much for your kind review! I’m thrilled to hear you enjoyed the cleanliness, location, and that you felt supported during your stay—that’s always my goal. I truly appreciate your feedback about the dish detergent. Had you mentioned you needed more, I would have gladly provided it right away. As you mentioned, I was always available for any questions or concerns—communication is key! I’m so pleased you had a great experience overall, and I’d love to welcome you back anytime.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. While we always aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience, some of the concerns raised were outside of our control. For example, the beach stairs are a permanent and unavoidable part of accessing the oceanfront — a detail visible in our listing photos. Regarding daily cleaning, we do offer additional services upon request, and I offered this option during your stay, but unfortunately, it was declined when you learned there was a fee. As for the coffee pot, we provide a standard coffee maker as listed in our amenities. We understand preferences vary, but we cannot guarantee specialty appliances. What’s most concerning is the door being left unlocked and unsecured, which creates a serious safety issue. While we understand frustrations can arise, compromising the property’s security isn’t acceptable. Additionally, your claim about the coffee pot being the reason for this action does not reflect the level of responsibility we expect from our guests. We wish you the best in your future travels and hope you find accommodations that are a better match for your needs.

Wonderful Oceanfront Condo

This condo was perfect for the 2 of us traveling. Was able to cook in the kitchen, and it was enough for us. We truly enjoyed this place, and Sherry was wonderful at communicating and checking on her guests. We loved the pools and amenities here. And we absolutely loved sitting on the huge balcony one floor down from our room. We stayed out there every night and watched the waves come in, with the moon shining. It was very peaceful. Definitely will be revisiting this place. Highly recommend.
