"Okika Lani sitter vid den södra änden av Kealakekua Bay på en privat väg med fantastisk utsikt över Stilla havet, kapten Cook Monument och halvmåneformade, vit sand Ke'ei Beach.

Ange porten på "Okika Lani och gå in i en innergård Bamboo Palms, orkidéer och tropiska landskapsarkitektur. Följ vägen till huvudbyggnaden. En liggande Buddha finns på posten bordet och hälsar alla besökare när de kliver in genom ytterdörren. Högt i tak, en öppen planlösning, och ljudet av vågorna bryter mot stranden lockar besökare till denna spektakulära Hawaiian hem.

En vägg av glas och skjutdörrar öppnas från centrala stora rummet på en kaklad veranda. Det är bara några steg ner till uteplatsen, pool, gräsmatta, magnifika bukten och havsutsikt. Titta på morgonen dykbåtar ankare över bukten vid Captain Cook Monument samtidigt som din lokala Kona kaffe och färsk papaya vid poolen. Eller förundras över den inhemska pod Spinner delfiner hoppa och cavorting i orörda vatten medan ingen annan är runt för att se.

"Okika Lani designades av en prisbelönt arkitekt i den traditionella Hawaiian Style av post och balk konstruktion, välvda tak och en rymlig, öppen planlösning. Ett stort kök, stora rum och vackra master svit allt nåd denna fantastiska hem. Avskärmade uteplatser på båda ändarna av huset erbjuder luftiga möjligheter för privata middagar eller bara koppla av den tropiska solen. We had a fantastic trip and the house was perfect, great location, awesome pool and backyard, and unreal sunsets. The house had everything a family of 5 (2 parents and 3 teenage girls) could need. We would 100% stay here again.

Amazing Property!

We were fortunate enough to stay here and it was Awesome! Not only is it a great house with a cool design for sea breezes but the pool and ocean views made this place special. You could not position yourself anymore centered on Sunsets! Highly recommend this home and the host. Very helpful and great straightforward communication. Check this place out! You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful Vacation

This was the perfect location for complete rest and relaxation! We could see whales and dolphins from the back patio and the beaches were within walking distance. The sunsets from this spot were a great way to close out each day. Main house and guest house were exceptional.

Idillic Hawaiian Getaway

Lovely upscale home right on water’s edge of Kealakekua Bay. Expansive bedroom and bath in the house; additional two bedrooms with single bath in detached cottage. Fifteen minute walk to sandy beach. Nearby kayak rentals for excursions to Captain Cook‘s Monument. Nicely remote with minimal tourist activity in the area—a good 30 min drive to nearest groceries, restaurants, shopping, etc. Overall, gorgeous and tranquil Hawaiian experience. Would stay again.

Amazing week in dolphin paradise!! Magical house, magical bay.

After many years using VRBO, including other vacation rentals on the Big Island, we have to say that this was our BEST VRBO experience ever. The house is architecturally gorgeous, with the porch looking out onto a perfectly manicured lawn, swimming pool and onto one of our favorite bodies of water in the world, Kealakekua bay. You can see Captain Cook Monument and we woke up to dolphins swimming in front most days. The property is located in a private community and is hence very protected and quiet. Kealakekua bay is 3 min down the road and Two Step is 15 min the other way. What really made the experience special was the host and owner, Chrissy. She made the whole stay super welcoming, and went out of her way to help us with a few minor issues that cropped up. She was super responsive to our questions and texts throughout the week. As it happened, Hurricane Hone was on track to hit the Big Island exactly the evening when our flight was due to leave! Chrissy even generously offered to let us stay another night if we were stranded! Fortunately thanks to majestic Mauna Kea’s shelter, we managed to get out on time, reluctantly leaving paradise behind. Our deepest thanks and Mahalo to you and your family Chrissy, for allowing us the privilege of staying at your stunning property and for being so generous and welcoming!

Lovely home; however, A/C with doors shut all time in bedrooms were good….no AC in rest of house with open windows did not sufficiently cool living area. Guest cottage has no view and to access bathroom you had to walk out on porch. Bathroom in guest cottage had no AC.. very warm even with widows open Perfect house for 1 couple…

Wonderful home.

So happy the owners are willing to let us stay in this spectacular unique mid century modern Hawaiian home. Architecture is welcoming and unique. This is our third visit. Kitchen upgrades have been made but do not diminish the quality of this home. Just Love this home. Pure serenity. Amazing experience.

Heaven on Earth

Gorgeous home and property! The sunsets were magical right from the backyard. The home and grounds were well kept and maintained. It was a 10-15 minute drive up the mountain to the main road so no quick food pickup but the views from the drive was well worth it for us. We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle so the quiet neighborhood was a bonus for sure! Spent the days exploring and the evenings poolside watching the sunset with amazing oceanfront views. DIdn't disappoint and was by far the best place we have ever rented!

We loved staying at this house. Everything was perfect and just what we needed for our family of 5. Loved being away from the resorts and town. Be prepared to stock up on groceries because it does take a bit to get to the stores. Cannot wait to come again!!

Heaven on Earth

This was my 2nd of hopefully many stays at this beautiful property. The location on Kealakekua Bay can’t be beat and the home is well laid out and immaculately maintained. The view is spectacular and the pool allows for refreshing dips without having to go into the ocean (which you should do anyway with nearby access). Kayak rentals are a short walk away. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation spot that is away from the hustle and bustle of town and other vacationers, this is the pace!
