Say hello to your own private wooded escape and spoil the whole family with a stay at Judge's Hilltop, a four-bedroom home with all feels of a rustic cabin yet all of the modern comforts you need for a comfortable stay. Start each morning on a tasty note and brew a pot of coffee, or keep it simple with the Keurig! While you are in the spacious kitchen, take advantage of the gas range, ample utensils, and expansive countertops to prepare a full breakfast for the gang before a full day of adventure. During warmer times of the year, the furnished wraparound deck will be just the place to let go and reminisce with loved ones while sipping a glass of wine. If you want a bit more privacy, the gazebo and other sitting areas on the property will give you that sweet serenity and quiet that is much-needed to rest and recharge. If indoor entertainment is what you are after, the poker table in the loft and TV in the living area have you covered!

Our family had a great stay at this cabin. It was spotless. The beds were comfortable. Beautiful artwork adorned the home. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. The cabin was near beautiful waterfalls, hiking trails, snow tubing, and the downtown area. We had the best time just being together. We are thankful to have found this gem and would definitely stay here again. BTW, we struggled to make cell phone calls from the home, but the wifi worked flawlessly.

Judge's Hilltop

Highlands area is a cool place to visit. The house was nice. The weather was cool and with the fans and open windows it was comfortable. There is plenty of room, a nice kitchen and it is located close to the downtown area.

Charming House, Great Stay!

Judges Hilltop Nightmare

The house lost power for 2 nights and does not have running water/toilets during power outages. The house does NOT have AC either which is does mention just read the description. Great location and affordable but again needs a new management company. Everything is automated and seems like it’s in a different country. It was a complete nightmare for our family.

Lovely home nestled in the woods

We had a delightful stay at this home that is nestled among the trees but right off the main road. It was quiet and peaceful. The deck is a great place to sit and relax. Lots of beds and living room was very comfortable. Far enough out of Highlands to avoid the crowds but close enough to get to town easily.

The house was clean and had a nice layout for our family. Somewhat dated and dishwasher leaked, pocket door in bathroom wouldn’t work and the ceiling was leaking over the stairs when we arrived in the rain.

My stay at Judge’s Hilltop

This is one of the most beautiful places. It is close to the market, close to the hike to the mountain, and close to the National Forest. You cannot beat the scenery. The house was amazing because it contained details of our American Indian Heritage throughout this home. It is graciously secluded in a space just below a mountaintop and everyone said that the atmosphere has never been better. This our first time that we have been to the mountains and we were never disappointed. Thank you.

Judges Hilltop Nightmare

We were without power and water for 2 of our 4 nights stay. It was unsanitary and unsafe for a house full of young kids. The property management company (VACASA) was absolutely zero help and everything was automated. After complaining for days they decided to give us a 20% refund (what a joke!). We asked several times to have a manager/owner of the property contact us so we could explain our nightmare before writing a review but unfortunately that never happened. You need to also read the description as the house has NO Air Conditioning!! Our kids were traumatized by the whole situation and yet the property management company did not care. Completely ruined our vacation! Love the location and the house has plenty of beds. Just needs a little TLC and better property manager.

Highlands Get-Away

Saw a bear the first day there Lots of fun for everyone Hikes and swims not far away… Whitesides, Chinquapin, Pinkeys Pool, Grimshaw Sliding Rock, Flat Rock and so much more. Annual toy shop & ice cream in nearby Highlands Sad to say goodbye at the end Too bad we could not all extend

House needs TLC

The management company responded quickly to cleaning issues. House was not serviced properly prior to arrival. Property needs a lot of maintenance-yard not usable as is-standing water, overgrown vegetation and dangerous stairs/walkways. House could be a real gem. Beautiful interior wood, good family room that accommodates a lot of guests and close to town. Good layout for multiple couples. Difficult with young children but older kids would enjoy upstairs bunk beds. FYI-no closets for hanging items.
