Stonehaven Cottages - "The Birchview Suite Duplex - Lower Level"

The Birchview Suite Duplex lower Level is a unique cottage that features an open concept between the fully stocked kitchen and living room. It boasts 9 ft. barn wood ceilings throughout, as well as exposed aggregate stone floors with in floor heating. The living room walls are made with real birch logs from our land! This cozy bungalow has a beautiful field stone fireplace to keep you toasty on those cold winter nights. The view is awesome with lots of windows lakeside to enjoy the beautiful Birch trees and of course all the wild life on Tuscobia Lake. Two french doors lead out to the spacious flagstone patio entrance area from the great room and the master bedroom. A great space to just sit and relax. There is also a fire pit fully stocked with wood, dining table, and grill for you to use. The Birchview Suite lower level is totally closed off from guests who are staying in the upper level. The entire upper and lower levels can be booked as one unit by calling Stonehaven Resort. We have a private dock 1/4 mile from the cottage and offer complementary use of kayaks, row boats, and canoes! We also have a pontoon for rent. Plenty of hiking and biking opportunities can be found on and off the resort. State Trails are also nearby.

Beautiful cabin

Cabin was beautifully decorated and located in a quiet area. Located close to town. Walking trails right out the front door. Everything in the description was just as described. Perfect family getaway spot.

Perfect hosts

Fantastic setting, clean and perfect for our visit. Even though we would have loved to be there longer in mornings , we had MC rides for 3 days with friends on Rice lake 1.2 miles away. Great local for our visit. We will definitely recommend to others in future visits.

Amazing time

We had an amazing time on our girls weekend with my 2 daughters. The property is beautiful! We enjoyed lots of walks, listening to the birds, and morning coffee on the patio of the lower birchview suite! We will definitely be staying again.

Enchanting rooms and location

This place had a very warm country feel. The location was awesome with lots of privacy and a lake view. We enjoyed our stay very much - even in the wintertime. It was also very convenient for the event we had in Rice lake.

Family Getaway

One of the best vacation rentals. We immediately felt comfortable and at home. Our family had a great time on the property, on the lake, and exploring the surround towns and trails. Ted and Lori are fabulous hosts that have thought of everything!

Lovely escape to the woods

Birch view was a wonderful property to visit. Very clean and comfortable. My mother and I were there for a family wedding and I was afraid we would be too far out of town. However, the location is surprisingly convenient to Rice Lake for shopping, etc.

Excellent place to stay

This place was beautiful. The view was spectacular. The cabin was so cute and perfect for the amount of family that was with me. It was so peaceful and I could definitely have stayed longer and just enjoyed the beauty. The little desk they have stocked with paper and pens and you could do journaling was perfect. They definitely put a lot of work into making it beautiful and peaceful and very clean. Definitely would go back.

Bachelorette party

I booked the birch view lower level suite for my little sisters bachelorette party. It was the perfect place for our small group! We took advantage of the pontoon and spent the day swimming and relaxing. The cottage itself was very homey, beautifully decorated, & extremely clean. Definitely would recommend!

Twice as nice the second time around!

I am a repeat guest to this property, but this time my Dear Husband (DH) was along for the festivities. For me, it was again the perfect place to host a small Thanksgiving dinner for family. DH held the opinion this was the nicest VRBO he has had the pleasure to stay in. Ted and Lori made sure everything was just perfect, and we left this stay already preplanning our return next summer. Absolutely beautiful!

This is a beautiful property in the heart of Rice Lake! Close to everything, but just out far enough that you feel secluded. Three friends and I shared one two-bedroom unit and another 4 friends shared another. Both were impeccably decorated and the feel is so welcoming. Everything was stocked well too. Next time we are all up curling, we’ll be back! Thank you!!

Fantastic stay!!

I rented this property for a quick visit with family, and I was in need of a place where we could cook and enjoy early Thanksgiving for a small group of 4. I want to lead with the view: WOW! Looking out the windows or from the "porch" you have a view of the trees and the lake (probably a lot less view of the lake in summer :) ) It was cold, quiet, beautiful, and serene. This lovely apartment is attached but completely separate from the property owners home. The apartment was VERY clean, the furniture was comfortable (WOW that queen bed was so nice I had a hard time getting up!), and the kitchen was well-enough equipped that we could cook our Thanksgiving dinner with no worries. The hosts were gracious, friendly, and hospitable. I am already wanting to come back for a visit with the husband early summer. Amazing and cute cabin!

This place is amazing! It was so cute and clean! The Birchview suite was so relaxing and calm, even with three little kiddos! We enjoyed the stone fireplace inside and sitting out on the patio! Ted & Lori did such a wonderful job on this place and were so kind and helpful! We will definitely stay here again!
