Beläget i ett litet, privat, pittoreskt komplex, är Glencree Cottage en härlig, rökfri radhus med enkla, tallmöbler. Köket har just blivit helt renoverat med en induktionshäll, väggugn och tvättmaskin / torktumlare och andra moderna bekvämligheter nära havet i County Wicklow, Irland. Ungefär en och en kvart timme från Dublins flygplats sätter du dig tillräckligt långt bort från stress och rörelse men nära nog att gå till Dublins centrum och utforska. Bara 20 min från DART Commuter järnvägslinjen i Greystones.

Direkt över vägen från radhus är Blainroe Golf Club - en 18-håls golfbana med spektakulär utsikt över Irländska havet och kusten. Det finns tillgång till en privat, familjestrand som ligger tvärs över vägen nära golfbanan. Det är en härlig plats undanstoppad i en avskild vik. Vandring, cykling och fiske ligger precis vid dörren.

Glencree Cottage är ett utmärkt läge för sightseeing och dagsutflykter till Dublin City. Dublin är 50 minuter med bil eller du kan gå till staden via DART (tåg / närmaste station i Greystones, Co. Wicklow) för att undvika besväret med parkering och körning i Irlands största och mest trafikerade stad. När du återvänder till Glencree Cottage kan du njuta av alla bekvämligheter i hemmet, inklusive en öppen spis för att blåsa ner och freden i den irländska kusten. En mängd olika turistmål är ett stenkast från Glencree som: Glendalough, Powerscourt - Manor House and Gardens, Brittas Bay.

Great cottage

Great little cottage, fire place was really nice to jave on the rainy nights. Quiet location, circular staircase leading to bathroom and bedroom. We had a great time.

Great little place and location

We really enjoyed the stay - everything worked perfectly (once we got the remote for the tv) and the property manager was fantastic, even giving us places to go visit while we were in Ireland. Truly made the trip special.

Nice cottage

The Cottage is nice. There are two beds in one Room and a nice bathroom upstairs. There are beautiful strands and many places to walk. It is a very interesting area around the cottage. The landlord was friendly and answered quickly.

Stay

Was a nice place, no Wi-Fi which was a bit of a issue but we made it work. Staircase is pretty but hard for one of our older group. Overall the place was great and the people were fantastic.

Titled adequate because that just about summarise everything about our stay. A lot smaller than it appears in photos. Only Dry electric heating. Is located about 5km from Wicklow no local facilities. No Wi-Fi and very limited TV coverage.

Beautiful area

Beautiful area, very central. Amazing beaches, Brittas Bay. The property has Wifi, even though it’s listed as not having it. 2 dogs loved it also.

Good stay

Good place to discover Wicklow Mountains and east coast. The train to Dublin is convenaient. too bad that the coastline is confiscated by golf courses and private properties, unlike the west coast. Ourv5 year old granddaughter is delighted with the stay

Great getaway in Blainroe!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ronan’s cute apartment. The king bed was very comfortable and the skylight provided nice ventilation during the night. We were able to easily cook dinner in the well-stocked kitchen. Everything was clean and worked well. We would highly recommend!

Lovely home in a beautiful setting

The property is in such a lovely location overlooking a large pond with goldfish in and a bridge crossing it. The private beach is a short walk away along the side of a golf course. The beach is lovely and sandy and in a little cove. There is a large children’s play area and tennis courts.

Charming cottage

Homey cottage in convenient location for those with car. Wicklow town close by. Golf across the road with views of the Irish Sea. Host had everything we could need/want in the property and responded promptly to questions. Was the perfect place for our first memories of Ireland.

Fun at Blainroe

The size was just right. We were very comfortable in the cottage. No problems or issues. The people in the community were very nice. The flower gardens are gorgeous. The cottage is perfectly away from Wicklow but still close enough to make Wicklow incredibly convenient. The Blainroe Golf Club course is spectacular. The Club House has good food, great drinks, and a very friendly staff. The beach there is such a joy, as are the area cliff walks, and other beaches.

Dreamy!!!

Thank you Ronan and Emma for ensuring a cozy stay. The house had all the kitchen and bathroom accessories needed for a smooth visit. We loved the neighborhood and proximity to the beach and community walking trails. Wicklow is a cute town, but this house is convenient for traveling around as well. When we arrived, the home was immaculate, warm, and Emma had even left bread, milk, and cheese in the fridge for us with a kind note. We are still dreaming of our stay and can't wait to return!

Perfect short break at Ronans

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Ronans. The cottage is cute and quirky, quite rustic, but comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well equipped and we had everything we needed. The main bed is very large and comfy, and the shower was hot and powerful. We visited the tiny residents beach across the road many times, and were very lucky to see dolphins and seals on a couple of occasions. We were very sad to leave, and wished we’d booked for longer!! Looking forward to booking this little hidden gem again very soon. Thank you Ronan

Comfortable and quiet

The “information folder” had either outdated info ( the tv) or missing info(the washer). The owner communicated well via text but he was far far away. The caretaker never responded to our text and was not at home. Still the bed is very comfortable, and though key utensils are missing from the kitchen, we were comfortable enough, with a full bath and king bed. The multi fuel stove is missing a glass so burned very inefficiently.

No Hot Water After First Day

Bathroom light burned out the first day and we had no hot water after the first day. When I got there, the washing machine was full of wet towels. Someone had tried to do a load that was too heavy. We could not use the fireplace because when we got there there was a note on it saying that birds were nesting in it. The house had cobwebs everywhere and the front entryway where the spiral staircase is has all of the cleaning products kind of piled up under the stairs. Despite this, the house is in a cute location and it was easy to get to. The bed sheets were clean and they smelled nice also the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we needed to make dinners and the house is conveniently located to an Aldi, LIDL, and a Tesco. Everything in this house is on weird timers so the heaters pop on at random times and they use an immersion water heater so you only have hot water at random times. However there was a note left in a book about how to override this feature which I did and we still did not have hot water for the duration of our trip. I did end up cutting our stay short two days but thankfully I had a free hotel room so I didn't complain to the property manager over these two days we didn't actually use. There is Wi-Fi and it does work downstairs just fine it. However, wifi does not work upstairs well which we already knew that it would not.

Beautiful area

Overall, we were very pleased with this place. Any issues we had were settled quite quickly. The owner is very easy to deal with and the property manager was available to us at any time. Very convenient stay close to Wicklow Town, Blainloe golf club and Dublin is only 45 minutes away by car. Would definitely stay again.
