Great little property. Well organized and clean. Didn’t actually see the lake until day 4. Left before sunrise and came back well after sunset. Beautiful spot.

I would give six stars if I could. The hosts were outstanding. The space and property are beautiful. Lake view and access were great. Beds, kitchen and all amenities were great as well.We can't wait to come back

Chris and his family were excellent guests. they left our space spotless. they are very friendly people. the kids got to play with our dogs and I think both the kids and fogs enjoyed that! Perfect guests to host!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return again during the summertime next year. I was in town for a training in Saranac, and it as well worth the hour long drive each day to stay at this beautiful lakefront property. The interior is immaculate as well as the grounds and exterior. I enjoyed a kayak paddle and sunset/moonrise dip in the lake tonight even though the water was chilly. I give this stay the highest rating, and I’m sad to be leaving in the morning. I do hope to stay here again!

It was great to meet Dick and Linda...couldn't ask for more friendly guests. Left our space immaculate. They were able to spend time with family and friends which is why we love to host !!!

Absolutely delightful!! Greg and Sue, the hosts of this Adirondack Hideout, are very thoughtful, gracious and responsive. The accommodations were immaculate, tastefully decorated and comfy cozy!! The kitchen is well supplied with cooking utensils. The house is positioned on the narrows of Chateaugay Lake, with a beautiful lawn, docks, ADK chairs, firepit and even a screened in summer shelter. We saw many kinds of wonderful wildlife from their dock, including eagles and a beaver! The location is excellent for paddling, hiking and historical adventures. Matthew completed his Adirondack Paddle Pursuit Challenge on Chateaugay, Taylor Pond and Union Falls Pond during our stay. There are more than enough amenities in this beautiful corner of the Northeast Adirondack park!

Gregory was a great host! When we arrived he greeted us and showed us around. The lake house was so cozy and comfortable, we enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay there again.

Ice Fishing Trip

We had a wonderful time and everything was there that you could possibly need. This place would even be more spectacular in the summer with all the kayaks and access to the river. There were plenty of bed and they were comfortable. Great location and wonderfully accommodating hosts!

Fabulous Property

Greg is a super host. So helpful and pleasant. This is our second stay and we will be staying again. The accommodations are comfortable and pleasant. The lake is beautiful.

Winter weekend by the lake

Adirondack Hideout provided a peaceful and cozy place for our family of four. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and kind hospitality of our hosts. Several inches of fresh snow created a beautiful winter wonderland, and we could only imagine how wonderful the lakeside setting must be in the warmer months. Highly recommend!

I had a great stay in the Adirondacks—Greg and Sue were welcoming, and the accommodations were excellent. The property is right on the Chateaugay Lakes, making it easy to kayak, paddleboat, fish, and explore both lakes. Nearby, I visited impressive spots like High Falls, Adirondack Park, Lake Placid, and Saranac Lake. Highlights included hiking to High Falls, riding the gondola up Whiteface Mountain, and trekking the Lyon Mountain Tower Trail for stunning views. This experience provided an excellent opportunity to unwind and take a break from daily routines. I highly recommend it.

Plenty of comfortable seating. Many amenities. Love having a washer and dryer! Wonderful historical countryside. Enjoyed the mix of other families in other locations, fishing and boating as well as grilling outside. Lovely, peaceful retreat!!!

Winter visit - Chateauguay Lake

A spacious, clean, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable apartment with great views of the lake. About 10-12 deer came up to the yard for some snacks the owners put out. The deer stayed for over an hour. There’s a bookcase full of good books, a well equipped kitchen and many board games, as well as toys for younger children, sleds ( and a hill to slide down). The owners are a very nice couple and are wonderful hosts.
