Lake house on Great Bear Lake 3 bedrooms 1 bath. Great beach and sandy bottom swimming. Bring your boat to enjoy the private all sports lake. Go fishing, swimming, and skiing. The home features 3 bedroom a large living room and dinning. The kitchen is spacious with all the amenities needed. There is also a washer and dryer if needed. The home has central air and heat. This property is only 20 minutes from downtown South Haven where you find dinning and shopping not to mention beautiful beaches. There is parking for 2 cars and a boat trailer. Please note the pontoon boat in the pictures is for rent at a rate of $165 per night. It must be book for the entire stay.

This is a perfect lake house get away for a small family or group of close friends. The house is adorable and the lake is peaceful with lots of nature. Quiet nice neighborhoods and if you want to go out to eat a few gems near south haven.

Great Place

It is a wonderful lake and a great place to visit. We had great communication with the owner, who was super helpful during a storm when we lost power.

Great family getaway!

My fiancé and I stayed here, each with our 2 kids. We had a lovely weekend! The house is beautiful, lake is lovely and the neighbors were friendly. We rented the pontoon which made the weekend so fun. Definitely recommend for a family trip.

Nice Getaway

The house has been recently updated and is very nice! There was plenty room for our family. We loved swimming off the dock. My three-year-old could’ve spent the entire day there. The house is in close proximity to both South Haven and Kalamazoo so we ate in both areas. We enjoyed our time!

Summer stay

Very pleasantly surprised by this gem of a lake house. Extremely clean and comfortable inside and out. We enjoyed the pontoon and kayak. Beds and linens were comfortable. Had everything we needed. Look forward to renting again for longer period of time now that we’ve checked it out!!!

Great place!

We had a great time staying here! The house was clean and very cute! Plenty of room for my family of 5 (kids ages 15, 18, 20). Everything needed to cook meals. We rented the boat for our stay and the kids loved it. We were the only ones on the lake for 2 of the days and the third day there were only 2 or 3 other boats. The fire pit was a great way to end the night sitting by the water. We will definitely recommend this house to others and will hope to come back in the future!

Perfect Little Lakehouse

The house and location were perfect for our family of 5. Everything was updated and very clean. Kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items. The main reason we rented this place was to be on a lake and it worked out great. Plenty of fishing, swimming, and pontoon boat riding. Todd was very responsive for any questions we had before and during our stay. This will definitely be a place we will look to coming back to.

A little slice of Heaven

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 kids (6 and 4 year olds) and had the best time! The home was very clean and well maintained. Todd was very communicative and helpful in getting us settled for the weekend. My kids loved playing in the sand, the treehouse, trampoline, the bunk beds, fishing off the dock, and tubing behind the large pontoon boat! The lake did not feel too crowded even on a holiday weekend. We also loved the fire pit and enjoyed making s’mores! The neighbors were also friendly and not snooty towards “renters”…this weekend really did feel like a little slice of Heaven. Thank you, Todd. We already want to plan another time to go back!

Perfect for your Family

My husband and I and our 2 kids (5 and 6 years old) stayed for 3 nights. The property is as advertised and was the perfect size and layout for our family. There were some thoughtful touches for the kids either left by the hosts or other guests. The neighbors were friendly. The beach area in front of the house was perfect for our kids to play and swim in. They could get all the way to the end of the dock and still touch the sandy bottom. We rented the boat and are so glad we did. Beautiful lake for a pontoon. We had fun with the kayak and paddle board too. Less than 30 minutes to South Haven for dinner one evening helped mix things up. Plenty of towels for us to use and the kitchen had all the basics. I recommend this house for a family and suggest you splurge on the pontoon!

This cottage on Great Bear Lake has the potential of being terrific, if not for these issues that were not addressed by the owner. The oven was not working at all and the grill that the owner told me to use instead was so filthy that we had to line it with foil to use because we had no other means of cooking our meat. Only 2 gas burners on the stove were in working order. It would have been nice to know that the stove/oven was not working before we arrived. Also we paid for the pontoon usage that was advertised on the VRBO listing that it came with a full tank of fuel. It had less than 1/2 for our stay. The lake, dock, fire pit were all beautiful, esp at the end of the day. I would like VRBO users to know that when I call VRBO customer service they were very helpful in trying to address these issues with the owner when he would not accommodate any of my requests to address these problems. I would make sure these concerns are corrected if you plan to rent here.

Perfect summer getaway!

We spent about a week at this lake house and it was so nice how thoughtful the owners are with items they left from seasonings and coffee in the kitchen to endless games for rainy days and my kids absolutely loved the paddleboard and kayak! We did rent the pontoon which ran very smoothly and was a lovely way to see the lake. The house was very clean and the beds very comfortable. Todd was very easy to get ahold of and a great Host.i highly recommend staying here and hope to be back next year!

Perfect location for our annual college friends’ reunion

Great space for 4 of us to cook meals together, catch up, have separate sleeping spaces and enjoy the lake. It’s a quick drive to Grand Haven for shopping and dinner out. We loved our stay here!

Perfect Summer Weekend

We had the best time staying here with a few of our friends! The house was clean, cute, and had everything we needed to cook. The pontoon was great and we spent the entire day out on the water. The fire pit by the water was the perfect place to end each day. The owner was great about communicating instructions for checking in and checking out and answered any questions we had during our stay. This will definitely be a place we will look to come back to!
