The property was nice. Well landscaped. Most employees seemed like they didnt want to be bothered. Calling for items from the front took forever. Its a long walk from.parking lot to rooms, all uphill and steep. Theres golf car shuttles to take you to your room but most times when we would call for one from the parking lot, no one ever came. It was July and the seaweed by the clunhouse and restaurant were insanely bad, and smelled so horrible we couldnt stay at the poolside unit. We stayed up on the hillside. It even permeated the water coming into the room. Taking showers smelled terrible. The seaweed smell is like salty sewer gas.Prices in the coffee shop are insane.The live music was nice.Happy hour isn't worth it. Only 1 bartender working both times we went to the infinity pool bar. She was working hard, but with a constant 20 people waiting for drinks, it takes forever. Close to red hook which was nice. Views are nice.

Nice resort

We enjoyed our 3 days at Margaritaville St Thomas after our catamaran cruise in BVI before returning home. The accommodations were nice and the pool areas were nice. However they are having issues with seagrass on the beach which created a distinct smell. Also thought the drinks were priced too high. The people were nice. They could use another restaurant also.

Lackluster Experience

This is our second story at Margaritaville. Our experience last year was phenomenal, by comparison this year was completely lackluster. That was mostly attributable to the unfriendly staff, unkempt appearance of the property, and just rundown look overall. When trying to get things like clean towels or trash pick up for your room, it requires an act of Congress. So disappointing as this could be a great resort because of this location. The only exception for staff service were a couple of the bartenders and the front desk, check-in clerks. All were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. In contrast, the staff at the concierge desk were actively bickering amongst themselves about stealing one another customers while we were trying to get her bracelet. Really?Would not plan on coming here again after this year‘s experience.. They may also want to tell their staff to be a little more friendly and stop smoking so much weed so they can focus on their guests!

Not room I rented

Margaritaville did not honor the room I was promised. VRBO said it would be on the beach building 1-7, it far from beach onto of a hill. Building 12. Make sure you get the room you paid for. I don’t think it was owners fault and did try to work for us.

Not how we remembered it.

First off let me say the resort is still a lovely place to stay. The issues we had were with the attitudes of some of the workers. On our first visit to Margaritaville, every single staff member we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Not so this time. It seems that many of the staff truly did not want to be there working with the public. Chalk it up to being off season? I don't know. It was clearly evident that there was some issue with the Margaritaville/Wyndham separation. If not for the staff working in the bars our stay could have been much worse. The bartenders they employ were the most jovial and happy to help employees that we met. All in, our stay was enjoyable, just not what we remembered from our first visit...

The bed was very comfortable. The balcony with an overhang was very nice because the sun was not shining on you. Beautiful view of pool and ocean. Pool kept very clean. We did see a cockroach in our bathroom. And we thought the all day music started a bit early. 8:30 am.

Friendly & fun place to stay

Our unit was fairly old, small & we couldn't sit on the patio as the bugs were terrible!! People were very friendly & the food was good the bar was a fun place to visit . The pool area was nice & roomy, there were fun activities throughout the week. Easy access to a sunset cruise.
