Hemlock is 8 minutes from Mount Pisgah, 30 minutes from Olympic venue Whiteface Mountain, and 55 minutes to Titus Mountain.

Enjoy boats, dock, fire pit & lakefront steps from your front door. Various canoes/kayaks and paddles included w/ rental.

Walk to Saranac Lake or take a short drive to Lake Placid, Whiteface Mt., Keene & the High Peaks for dining, shopping & events.

Hemlock shares 100+ feet of private lakefront w/ an adjoining apartment, Cedar. Hemlock is available for booking months in advance of Cedar to allow guests to book both units. Cedar will be available starting May 2023, and is currently occupied by a permanent tenant.

Lovely cottage but very noisy

This is a very lovely, very rustic cabin on the water. As mentioned by a previous guest the traffic noise is an issue. It is located across a narrow part of the lake which is on a major route to supply Lake Placid. The truck traffic is 24/7 and woke us in the bedrooms on the lake side.The other bedroom adjoins an attached cottage.What was disconcerting was an inside connecting door to that unit and the walls are so thin the tenants comings and goings were disturbing.The lakefront property is beautiful with lots of chairs and fire pits. If you are looking for a peaceful interlude in the Adirondacks this is not the place but if you want to be close to the village, this is it.

Nice spot!! Check in was fairly easy. Comfortable and cozy living area. Bed comfy!! Close to main attractions too.

Clean, comfy and convenient

Driveway was true to description. Entryway had a build up of ice that ice melt couldn't take care of.

Beautiful Fall Stay!

We went up for a couple nights to enjoy the fall foliage. This place is absolutely perfect! Everything on one level which was great for my parents. Home was immaculate. Beds were super comfortable. The lakeview from the deck was gorgeous. Going back in the spring! Loved it!

Cute house on the water

We had a nice relaxing stay at the Hemlock House. It has a cozy cabin feel and the beds were comfortable. The view of the water is so nice. Thank you for adding to our fun trip.

Extended weekend with family

We stayed during the winter carnival! My family enjoys ice fishing and hiking in the snow. While the weather was in the 40s we still found lakes with ice and some trails with beautiful views and snow. The winter festival was a bonus. The home was clean and relatively spacious for 6 adults, a dog and a toddler, and communication with Lindsay was easy. We would definitely come back again!

Beautiful cabin

This is a great little cabin! We stayed in the winter and the fireplace is such a treat! Three great bedrooms and an amazing location. We will have to return in the summer!

Quick get away

Great location but there was a bit of road noise especially in the early morning. Property was exactly as advertised. Cottage was well stocked with everything you might need. Loved the gas fireplace. Would definitely rent again

Great Lakeside Getaway

We loved this cozy cabin! Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, easy access to the lake, were all great. The house is located close to town, with plenty of places being a nice walk away. There's a lot to do within a close drive as well. Groceries are conveniently located on the drive into town. We loved getting ice cream from Mountain Mist.

Our 2023 ADK reunion

I have to say that this property is just waiting for a good time...location worked for us as we have a small boat and enjoy all these waters for fishing...it was a "first time" fishing for our 2 granddaughters and they are now hooked...was nice because there is a little dock we could tie the boat up at...never dull because there is lots of boat traffic to watch while sitting and enjoying the dock...the house has that ADK feel and was very clean and ready for it's company, adequately supplied and lots of room...whether you're already well-acquainted with these mountains or staying for the first time you will get that mountain feeling right away...I thought it was a good place for younger children and is close to town for groceries, restaurants and general needs. The only idea I would add is that, if we keep getting these over-heated summers like we have the past few years, an AC window unit would help to survive the extreme heat... but overall we had a fantastic time with family!

Great vacation lake house

The lake house was large enough to accommodate our family + our dog. Close to both Saranac and Lake Placid for day trips and hikes. Beautiful lake view with dock. Just wish the road wasn’t so close to hear traffic over nature.

Great Stay

We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The location was great, we were close to town and an easy drive to lake placid and surrounding areas for hiking and sightseeing. Property was exactly what we were looking for and we could even bring our pup which was an added bonus.

Beat stay In saranac

An amazing place, walking distance to town and on the lake. It was quiet. Even though u are close to town plenty of wildlife, deer swimming, geese, ducks, and plenty of privacy. It has a beautiful fireplace and comfortable beds. Definitely plan on returning in the near future! Lyndsey the owner was fantastic!

Great cabin on the water

Was a great place to stay, loved waking up looking out to the lake. Appreciated the flexibility to allow our college student to stay with us for Easter when she originally planned to stay in her dorm! The house was clean and we loved the gas fireplace with the chillier weather, super cozy!
