Om boendet

Tropical Rainforest Retreat

We are situated between the mountains & Caribbean Sea, embrace the beauty of the El Yunque Rainforest in Naguabo, PR. Formally Hacienda Moyano, we have 4 acres of palm trees, 28 fruits growing wildly, and walking paths throughout. A crystal clear inground pool and gazebos make outdoor life comfortable. Take a trip to sandy beaches, or sip on Rum and watch the sunset. Rest well in our large renovated studios with bathroom, AC, and kitchenette. Each room has a big porch with breathtaking views.

Unplug, relax, and enjoy all the tranquility paradise has to offer. We do not have WiFi available. There is cell coverage here with the majority of carriers.

Parking is free and right in front of our Lodge. The property is enclosed and gated.

Grocery stores and gas stations are 5 mins away. Beaches are 10 mins away. There are many amazing restaurants within a 10 minute drive.

* Occasionally there are power outages in Puerto Rico, it is part of life here. Each room is equipped with battery powered lantern in case of an outage. We do have generators and will start them if needed (Because of the inflation of gas prices, if the power goes out in the middle of the night, they will not be turned on until the morning).

* You will be IN the Rainforest staying here - there are bugs. Our rooms are meticulously cleaned yet occasionally bugs find their way in.

* There are no laundry facilities available on site but there is a drop off and self serve laundry nearby called "Wash and Post". feel free to reach out for information on this.

* Please take care of your trash and dishes. Please do not break coconuts or sit on the kitchen counters in your room or the community kitchen.

* We do not offer stays over 2 weeks. (no monthly stays)

About Us:
I give my guests space but am available when needed. My husband and I run a wellness and retreat center here in Puerto Rico. We love to rent out our property for seasons throughout the year for people to take a vacation.

The septic systems in PR cannot handle toilet paper or any paper products (including tampons) We provide a trash receptacle for waste in the bathroom.

Great experience!

We loved the experience of this place-- listening to the coqui frogs at night, watching the rain on the trees from the balcony, exploring fruit trees on the property, cooking and dinner in the outdoor kitchen, and swimming in the pool. The hosts were proactive and set us up for an excellent stay. I appreciate their attention to detail. Thank you!

Heaven!

I can’t even put into words how amazing this place is. Tonya was great to work with - sent very detailed information and was quick to respond. The grounds are absolutely beautiful to walk around, room was clean and spacious, the outdoor kitchen was perfect - well stocked with pots, pans, etc. We went to the store about 10 minutes away and just grilled the whole time. The pool was huge, the view incredible, I didn’t want to leave! We are already planning our next trip back. Thank you so much Tonya, this was the highlight of our trip!

Jungle vibes

This studio was clean with easy access. Parking right in front of the unit. A welcome snack basket awaited us along filtered water. A nicely put together booklet outlining rules and area info with recommendations. The water pressure was great. Nice grounds to explore. Large community pool and outdoor kitchen area. The coqui are LOUD as your in the rainforet this is expected, after closing doors and windows and turning on the AC it was drown out. We really had a lovely stay here. They do a nice job on this property. I would stay again.

Breathtaking views of the rain forest!

Just book it! It is absolutely incredible! I can’t begin to explain how amazing this vrbo is! We came with our 3 teenagers. The property has a path to explore the natural beauty of fruit trees, a stream and then sit in the gazebo to enjoy morning coffee. Pool is huge! The family kitchen we cooked in, played games on the large kitchen table, enjoyed the fresh picked bananas and just took in the tranquility all around us. In the morning open your balcony french doors to take in the fresh air and sit on the patio to look out into the rainforest. Close to beaches, rain forest, boardwalks. Host is quick to respond to any questions and very welcoming. Loved the coffee and snacks that awaited us when we arrived. Rooms clean and spacious. Thank you Tonya for the incredible stay!

Lovely Rainforest Lodge

We had a fun time at this rainforest location with a swimming pool and communal kitchen. Tonya and her husband are very welcoming and helpful. It's a 45 minute drive to El Yunque, and other publicly accessible beautiful river pools and beaches are much closer. My family liked the lodge, pool and grounds so much that I couldn't get them to go exploring elsewhere one day. We had the property to ourselves for three of four nights so our stay was idyllic. It would be a different experience if the other three apartments are rented. The location is great, the rooms are basic, large, and comfortable with lovely views. The verandah has a great view. The communal cooking area is great, but might be complicated if there are several groups. If you plan to cook, I would check with Sonya as you sign up for slots. We had a very relaxing time and would be happy to return..

Wonderful location that is close to restaurants and grocery stores, but also very private. The grounds are serene and beautiful in the rainforest. The pool was a highlight for us. The room is comfortable and had everything we needed for a two night stay. Host was communicative but gave us our privacy. Would definitely stay again!

Hidden gem of tranquility and beauty in PR’s rainforest

The two nights we had at the tropical rainforest retreat were the highlight of our week in PR. The gorgeous lodge is located on a hill in a lush rainforest with views of the ocean in the distance. It’s an amazing place to relax, explore nearby waterfalls and watering holes, and a nearby local town on the water. Tonya was the perfect host and helpful with advice and support. .

Quiet, relaxing retreat in the heart of the rainforest. The host sent over clear check-in instructions prior to our arrival and also sent over dinner options since we were arriving later in the day. The retreat was far enough from town that you could relax and immerse yourself in nature but also close enough that you could enjoy a day at the beach and the local culture within 10-20 minutes. 10/10 recommend and will be staying here on our next trip.

Magical nature escape!!

I can’t say enough about the beauty of the location and the thoughtful accommodations! The sounds of the forest, the views, the huge room and comfortable beds! Hosts and staff took the time to talk to us and were exceptionally courteous. The nights of sleeping there with the windows open, listening to the sounds of the forest and an occasionally rain is something that can’t be put to words, very hard to leave.., thank you!

Gorgeous lodge in the jungle

This property is so quaint and clean. Despite its relatively remote location we went to dinner, beaches and hiked to a waterfall all within 15 minutes. The estate is so peaceful and the room was simple and clean, and we enjoyed our time here very much.

Where do I even begin? It was the best stay we have experienced in PR. Tonya is as absolutely helpful from day one. The place was perfectly clean and comfortable. We had perfect amount of relaxation and fun! We had beautiful meals in the outside kitchen and our daughter spent plenty of time in their HUGE pool! I could go on and on! Beautiful Property in Picturesque Location

We absolutely loved this property. The instructions and communication from the host were spot on. The room was clean and comfortable. The best feature was the rainforest views from all around the property. We saw so much wildlife and felt like we were tucked away from the world. Would definitely go back again!

We loved our stay!

We stayed here in Dec 2022. We had a six day trip to Puerto Rico, 2 days in San Juan, 2 days here and 2 days by the beach. Staying here on the edge of the rainforest was definitely our highlight. The property is amazing, we got to see the bananas growing and had some freshly picked passion fruit. We enjoyed cooking in the outdoor kitchen. This stay felt off the beaten track a bit and would definitely recommend it. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
