This is an outstanding property for a big group. The host is very easy to communicate with and the house comes well-apportioned so it was ready for whatever we wanted to get up to while we were there, from cooking to beach days and whatever else. Can absolutely recommend.

We loved our stay at the beautiful Out of the Blue and highly recommend it to travelers. This is, by far, the best furnished house I have ever stayed in. The owners thought of everything…fully equipped kitchen, lots of games, beach chairs, deck furniture, very comfortable furniture inside in all areas, plenty of bath and beach towels, etc. Great view of the lake and beach, great location. Can’t say enough.

Amazing house / location

House is very nice, very clean, and has fantastic views of Lake Michigan from the decks. Great place for a week long or weekend getaway. House is like 100 feet from the beach so you can’t beat it and its location to town is super close. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect long weekend

We were looking for a long weekend stay within driving distance of the Chicagoland suburbs, and this was the perfect location for that. We were focused on spending time with each other, walking around the community, and just completely decompressing. The property was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of space and things to do for our family. We hope to return again later this year!

Stunning

Our group had an amazing time at “Out of the blue”! The host was so kind and accommodating and the house is everything you would hope it to be. This was the perfect spot for our family getaway! The house is beautiful and well stocked with everything you need plus more! It’s an easy walk to the beach and a short drive to the shops (we walked most days). Anne and Gibby are very communicative and only a call/text away. We will definitely stay here again when we make it back to South Haven.

When I seen this listing, I thought it was a little pricey. I was looking for a house large enough to accommodate 10 adults and two children. I also wanted it near the beach. This home is absolutely beautiful, and It easily accommodated us. It was large enough that we all had our space and privacy. The view was breathtaking! It’s fully stocked with everything you need. Beach chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, beach toys, beach towels, games, popcorn machine, etc…Gibby was amazing and made us feel welcomed. It’s obvious that he loves what he does. The home owner Anne was very accommodating, welcoming and sweet. They were both available 24/7, which put me at ease. The beach is walkable, literally around the corner. I highly highly recommend this house. You will not be disappointed. It’s worth every penny!!!Zahia H

70th Birthday Weekend

If you have the opportunity to book this property, don’t pass it up! We had the most wonderful stay at Out of the Blue. The photos don’t do the property justice. The house has everything you would need, is clean, comfy and is located the best location. Anne and Gibby are fantastic property owners/managers. We’re already talking about returning next year.

Perfect Weekend Away

What a wonderful experience we had staying at Out of the Blue. The house was clean and well stocked. Everything you could possibly need was available. The amenities were that of a 5 star hotel. Anne and her team were beyond welcoming from the moment I booked the house to the day after we checked out. I couldn’t have asked for a better get away. We are already talking about coming back!

Best House in South Haven

We go to South Haven every year for Labor Day weekend and this is without a doubt the best house on North beach. It’s the best location with everything walkable and right near the beach, the interior is really beautifully done and there are tons of activities to do if you stay home for the night with the pool table and board games. Additionally the amenities were all provided for with shampoo/conditioner/towels etc in each bathroom and there were plenty of beach chairs, towels and even a cooler ready to go for the beach. I would give this listing more than 5 stars if I could.

Perfection!

What an incredible few days we had at out of the blue. From the very beginning of booking, until check out, Anne and the property manager went above and beyond. Super accommodating, making us feel very welcome and comfortable. We were traveling with 2 new babies and a few older kids, and she made the stay so smooth. Location is amazing, house is beautiful and spacious. We cooked quite a bit and the house is fully equipped with everything you could need! We can not wait to book our next stay here!

Absolutely gorgeous and spotless home. The attention and thoughtfulness put in to the details of everything from furnishings and decorating to vacation rental necessities and comforts went well above and beyond what we expected. Something for everyone and then some! We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our big family vacation. Stunning lake views, multiple comfortable gathering areas both inside and out on the decks - and an easy walk to the beach and downtown. We lucked out with wonderful weather, but even if we hadn’t, there is plenty to do on site. With the “gaming garage”, multiple indoor gathering areas and huge TVs, a playroom area on the top level with a pool table as well as tons of board games, coloring supplies for the kids and a huge round game table, no doubt we would’ve all had a lovely time together no matter the weather. Anne and her team are wonderful to work with. We were warmly greeted by Minnie upon arrival and had timely communication throughout both the trip planning process and our stay. If we ever stay in downtown South Haven again, I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else! Just a truly special place where we all enjoyed a vacation we will never forget.
