The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms! During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops.

Wake up every single day to the unmistakable sound of the crashing waves at this perfect beach condo! It has everything you and your guests could ever need to spend a carefree and restful vacation. It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony overlooking the water, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture, and TV with cable.

Things to Know
The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers.
Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great time in Ocean City

We had a great time in Ocean City. The condo was great, exactly as described. Overall it was very clean, had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. We beach is literally a few steps away, we spent a lot of time walking on the beach and watching the sunrises. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area. The boardwalk area is a 10-15 minute drive, and worth the time to visit! While the condo itself was great, the building as a whole is getting a little run down. There were lights outside of the room not working, it makes it a little eerie walking along an open railing 21 stories up with no lights at night. The condo is on the 21st floor, the top floor for condos. The 22nd floor is where the pool, workout gym, and community rooms are. One of the nights in the community room there was sumo wrestler tap dance practice, and there was a wedding reception another night. Not a deal breaker, just some expected noise to be aware of. The property management company is OK, not bad, not great. I received endless e-mails demanding the make and model, and license plate number of our vehicle. We were flying in and getting a rental. Even after I called and them we would not know this info until we arrived, they kept sending e-mails requesting this. Other e-mails with questions went unanswered. We had a wonderful time and would happily recommend staying here! We hope to come back again!

Week stay

We arrived early Saturday am. Check in was at 4, room was still not cleaned by check in time. WiFi was absolutely horrible, minimal kitchen supplies. If staying with a family more linens should be provided. Location was great and condo was nice. Pull out couch was horrible to sleep on.

Lovely unit but for the amount of money we paid I was very disappointed in the sofa bed. It was like sleeping on wires. The mattress pad in the main bedroom had some nasty looking stains on it. I don’t think they take cleaning too seriously. The kitchen was really nice. The unit has a gorgeous view!

Disappointment with unit and VACASA

Very disappointed with this unit. Renters should be advised that some units MUCH smaller than others. 2nd bedroom so small it was ridiculous. Living room was very small, the bathroom for master bedroom could only be accessed thru living room, no door in master bedroom. VACASA did not provide combination to the box containing our unit envelope. Thank goodness an employee came out and gave us our documents. We ask VACASA if possible to actually look at a few 2 bedroom units for possible rental next year but were advised they didn't like to do that anymore. Unit was very sparse on furniture, coach uncomfortable, beds uncomfortable. I could go on. Not a lot to like there. I have found over the years of renting at Golden Sands that they only really care about keeping owners happy, the renters are an unfortunate requirement. I advise renters to beware, the photos you see of the different units may not resemble what you actually get. In many cases the photos are years old as is the furniture, etc. Do I actually expect this review to be seen by any potential renters or to get any response to this review from anyone, of course not.

The room was perfect for us! Clean and it has everything we needed! I bright all of the items we would need like laundry detergent, toilet paper, dish washer detergent, dish soap were provided in a small quantity so I never had to touch ours! Relaxing along with a beautiful view as well!
