Our July stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is nice. We arrived the door was already cracked open as we arrived later in the night, so it was a bit unsettling. We did get a call that the golf cart was broke down upon us getting there. Which was one of the main reason we rented this place, my kids were not happy at all. There was a roach that was not killed cuz we all freaked out. We did reach out to management and never received a response from them. Everyone in the resort had golf carts and the kids didn’t understand why we didn’t. Which I had told them we were getting one leading up to the vacation.

Good stay

Quiet property everything was clean and nice. It was nice that it was pet friendly but we didn’t have any of our pets. I wish it was a tad closer to the beach but the golf cart made that not too big of a deal.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

The space, amenities, and location were exactly what I was looking for, at a fair price. The golf cart was extremely useful, as was the beach closet. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was comfortable, and the area is quiet and peaceful.

Great Stay at Players Club

We enjoyed our stay at 18 Players Club. The views from the living room and master bedroom are phenomenal. This pictures don’t do it justice. The place was very clean and felt new. The master bed was very comfortable! The location is great. It’s a fairly quiet area but close enough to the shops and restaurants. We loved having a golf cart that we could take to eat or to the beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although it was cold, we stayed in mostly and admired the view from our condo but at times it was very annoying due to the hammering in the bldg. if I would had been warned beforehand, I would have chosen a different pl on the resort. BTW, I am not from FL, I am a MS resident.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not good. Major construction going on, ladders in hallway,equipment tools blocking hallway. Workers were nice. Not a safe environment. Patio table and chairs in the living room. Very noisy.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was possibly my worst stay at the coast in over 30 years of vacationing here. The descriptions were not accurate, the property was not properly represented, and the rental company was unresponsive at times, but unhelpful with the many complaints at all times. I emailed them after my trip to voice all concerns, and never got even a single word in response. The property itself will eventually be a nice one, but I do not recommend this rental company in any way.

Great property. Not so great communication.

Property manager(my vacation haven) has terrible communication. Didn’t know window was supposed to be fixed. 2 men opened the door with our code. Could’ve been naked! The roof was being replaced the entire time we were there. Didn’t know this. Not relaxing at all and dangerous with things falling constantly from the roof. I wouldn’t have booked that time knowing this. Emailed multiple times to my vacation haven and stated they didn’t know about the window guys or roof until then. Horrible communication. Took days to get back to me after 2 emails. Condo was good, We have stayed at Players Club for many years now and love the location and views. Golf cart was also great!

POOR RESPONSE time from Management COmpany

ELEVator was working when we first arrived. There were tarps in the elevator. It broke down the second day and was stuck on the second floor. My 84 year old mother had to walk up four flights of stairs. Mangagement CO said they were unaware of the problem from HOA. I asked if we could check in a bit early due to have an elderly woman with me. They said NO. I also then asked for a littel later check out time since I had to carry all the luggage down to the car and have my mother walk down the stairs. They said no again. So the first day is lost due to check in at 4 and the last day check out at 10pm. ROBBING people. ALSO coffee pot was disgusting....we bought white vinegar and scrubbed it. mold in master shower on the floor and a bit of a musty smell when entering.

We loved our stay!

We stayed the first week of August.In the evenings people gather on the golf course to watch the beautiful sunset.In the mornings if you don’t put the blinds down in the master bedroom you are rewarded with a beautiful sunrise while laying in bed!The golf cart was a game changer for the stay. Being able to take the golf course all over Sandestin and to the beach keeps from getting sand in your vehicle. We loved that the condo was pet friendly as we were able to bring our dog along for our stay. The access to the private pool at the players club was great. During our whole stay we saw one other person in the pool. It was our private pool when we were in there. Some of the other pools that you have access to were always busy.Had a wonderful view of the fireworks from the warf on Tuesday night from the balcony.Has a full setup in the kitchen to be able to cook dinners if you want to stay in. Had stacked washer and dryer that you can utilize if needed. Everything worked as it should. The balcony was a great place to watch the sound and enjoy the Florida weather. We had the opportunity to see lots of fish jumping and watched dolphins one evening come by feeding. If you walk along the sea wall we saw all sorts of fish and crabs in the water. The kids loved it!If we come back to the area we will definitely take advantage of this condo to stay again if it is available!

Wanted to love it…

We only experienced this condo for less than 48 hours due to AC issues. The management company was very responsive when we reported the air & followed up with us numerous times throughout the day. The AC unit had completely frozen over. The company wouldn’t even be able to assess the unit until it had completely thawed & even then, a quick fix wasn’t promised. Again- the management company was prepared for everything and moved us to a different condo within Sandestin-it was a very pleasant surprise & we were so thankful to get into some AC! Besides the air issue..the condo was in need of a deep clean. It was beautiful, just like the pictures! And the view was outstanding- but once you start looking a little deeper, it seems like the cleaning is VERY basic! We understand this was a pet friendly condo- we are “pet friendly people”! But, never in my many years of staying in pet friendly condos have I EVER run across so much hair, dust & dirt in such a small area! It was mind blowing. I wish I could attach pictures to prove the vast amount of pet hair that was collected. I whipped out the vacuum & cleaned the rug, couch & 2 chairs- I had to empty the filter TWICE! It was a bit unsettling as we have a 10Month old who crawls / walks and constantly had hands / mouth full of pet hair. Then, my husband wore a black shirt to bed that evening & the next morning it was covered in white hair! This is when the cleanliness really became concerning- seeing as pet hair was in abundance on our sheets? Aren’t these laundered between guests? With a “benefit of the doubt” attitude, we decided maybe the hair was coming from the duvet cover. We pulled it off to wash it & found 3 dark brown / red ish stains on the underside of the duvet. This was our last straw & honestly, extremely gross as this could’ve been something as innocent as chocolate or the not so innocent bodily fluids. Thankfully, due to the AC- we were moved condos prior to the cleaning team coming to replace the linens. The management company requested pictures, which we happily passed along & hope the cleanliness issues are taken seriously for the next set of guests. We definitely won’t stay here again. With a $205 cleaning fee…your guests should never have to clean upon entry!

Pros: View was beautiful. Loves this place had enough space for our family of 4. Loves that we had a golf cart. If you're staying in this resort a golf cart makes life easier. It was nice to be able to cook and do the wash on vacation. Cons: Floors need a good hand wash. Closet door in one of the bathrooms doesn't open and close properly because the track is bent. Beds with twins are not very comfortable. Not enough hot pads. Mold in ceiling of bathrooms. Overall not a bad stay and we will be back because we love the area!

Disappointment

This listed property did not mention the fact that there was a major roof renovation starting on the day of our arrival. The whole week we were there we had to park our car two blocks away because the construction equipment took up all the parking spaces. The noise from the work on the roof all day every day was annoying. This unit should not have been rented during these conditions. I've been renting condos for vacations here in Destin since 1980. Never had this kind of problems. You dropped the ball on this one.
