Trevligt Boende I tree lift oneÄde

Underbara vÀrdar tar emot oss i en vÀl utrustad stuga pÄ tomten. Vi fÄr anvÀnda tvÀttmöjligheter och tornet pÄ deras hus nÀr vi vill. En underbar surfingstrand ligger precis nedanför huset. Hilo Àr en trevlig stad och det finns mÄnga fina utflyktsmöjligheter tex vulkanomrÄder.

If I could give Marie & Greg 10 stars, I would. This was our second visit and it was even more outstanding than the first. They make you feel like old friends or treasured family instead of just VRBO guests. The neighborhood is quiet, convenient to everything on the east side of the big island and offers anything you could need for a relaxing visit. We will return again!

The place was as described and the host very helpful. The observation deck makes the experience. There is a significant amount of political decor around the property . You may or may not appreciate this ambiance. I would have liked to have known that before booking as it wasn’t the vibe I was for on vacation.

Friendly hosts who let us pick lemons and limes from the trees in their yard. We felt very safe in the area, quick walk to the beach, and AMAZING sunrise views from the overlook!!! Wish we booked at least 3 nights! It is also a very quick drive in to Hilo. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Perfect location to explore every spot on the Big Island! Studio is amazing and the gardens on the property are gorgeous. Beautiful sunrises from the tower.

Small clean and tidy with everything yoy need and a little more. The observatory platform was the perfect place for coffee and the water is so close.

Man muss diese kleine Wohnung (kleines Haus) gesehen und Marie erlebt haben, Worte allein reichen nicht aus.Im Haus fehlt es an nichts und wenn doch: Marie besorgt es. Es ist so gepflegt! Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die BettwĂ€sche, absolute PremiumqualitĂ€t! FĂŒr die GĂ€ste gibt es einen ĂŒberdachten Carport, hier hat unser Jeep Wrangler problemlos Platz gefunden.Man darf alles nutzen: den Garten, die Terrasse und ganz speziell: den ĂŒberdachten Hochsitz. Von hier hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf die Bucht bis nach Hilo. Hier lĂ€sst sich der Tag sowohl gut beginnen als auch entspannt beenden.Es ist absolut ruhig hier. TagsĂŒber hört man den einen oder anderen Surfer auf seinem Weg zur Bucht, abends ist es so still, man kann die Natur atmen hören.Als Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr AusflĂŒge ist die Lage perfekt.Schade, dass unser Aufenthalt so kurz war, beim nĂ€chsten Mal gerne lĂ€nger!Danke an Marie und Greg!

This was just the right size for the two of us. Marie and Greg were super friendly and kindly let us have access to all their amenities including the outlook (great for watching the sunrise) and the gate that gives you easy access to Honoli’i Beach. Every activity we did was about 15 minutes away, aside from visiting the volcano which is about an hour drive. Hoping we can visit again soon!

Awesome experience!

I loved this accommodation! It was auper clean and well appointed! Marie took care of all the little details! It was the perfect set up for me and my two girls to stay for a few nights while we explored around Hilo. The futon bed could be thicker but we knew what it was when we booked and the girls are young and can adjust! I loved chatting with the hosts and really enjoyed looking at Marie's beautiful orchids! The frogs (which we nicknamed "pookie" frogs because thats what it sounds like they are saying) become active in the evening and sing continuously until sometime early in the morning. I found them to be soothing and pleasant. But I am used to farm noises and love springtime when I can open my bedroom window at night to hear the crickets and the frogs in our pond. Overall it was a wonderful stay!

Misleading Information/Photo Advertising

I rented this place because of the information/picture. I envisioned starting our day relaxing with coffee on the deck while enjoying ocean views. The photo advertised is actually the owner’s. The rental is in the back with no view and no place to sit without dragging kitchen chairs outside. What the photo also doesn’t accurately show are the 47 signs, flags and blow ups surrounding the property. The washer is also in the owner’s house so you have to ask to use it. It was not the stay we had anticipated.

Political Signage Off-Putting

The location of this guest suite in Hilo was great, and the hosts were friendly and communicative. However, I was extremely uncomfortable with the numerous political signs displayed around the property. This isn’t something that was shown or mentioned in the listing, and I was so caught off guard by the atmosphere upon arrival that I initially turned out of the driveway.I respect that everyone is entitled to their views, however, I believe it’s important to give guests a full picture of what to expect. None of this was mentioned or shown in the listing, and had we known, we would have booked elsewhere. Transparency in listings is important, and this was a major element that felt deliberately excluded.

We loved this stay. The lookout perch was our favorite part. Especially in the morning for sunrise.If were ever back in Hilo, we would not hesitate to stay again.

Great place to stay

Everything was as expected, and the hosts were gracious and welcoming. The directions and instructions were clear and accurate. The lovely rental was equipped with everything we needed, and we particularly enjoyed the view from the observation deck. The Coqui frogs were loud at night, but we found their variety of calls funny and entertaining. The property’s location was a great base for relaxing or exploring the Hilo area.

Our stay was amazing! Location was perfect for everything that we wanted to do around Hilo. Greg and Marie are lovely! View was gorgeous. We would recommend highly as a home base for sightseeing around Hilo.

This is an ohana studio attached but separate from our home. It does not have an ocean view.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Unit is clean and modern with cable modem internet access and cable TV. 3 minute walk to Honolii Black Sand beach. This beach is the best surfing beach in Hilo and has a great beach for relaxing, swimming, reading and sunbathing. Guests are able to use the lanai and observation deck and barbecue. The rental is located on a quiet street where guests can take walks for 20 minutes.
