Welcome to Gite colibris, a Creole cottage located in Anse Bertrand, a small fishing village still typically Guadeloupean, nestled between the sea and the countryside, on the edge of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin, the largest coral reef in the Lesser Antilles. Here, you will live much more than just a stay: a human, cultural and sensory experience, in an exceptional natural setting.

Our holiday home offers an idyllic getaway in a green, calm and inspiring environment, a stone's throw from paradisiacal beaches without sargassum such as Anse Laborde or Plage de la Chapelle. The land on which our cottages rest is bordered by sugar cane fields, old mills steeped in history and lush flora: it is the perfect place to reconnect with nature, recharge your batteries, or explore an intimate and secret Guadeloupe.

Comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting
Our air-conditioned cottage consists of:

a comfortable bedroom-living room, with double bed, sofa bed and local wood furniture;

a fully equipped kitchen on the terrace (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, utensils);

a bathroom with shower, hot water, towels and welcome products;

access to a shared swimming pool, nestled in the tropical vegetation.

Every morning, enjoy a continental or Creole breakfast with local products: homemade jams, exotic fruits, bread with butter, fresh juices... And why not extend the experience at our table d'hôtes? Discover a family and tasty cuisine inspired by traditional Creole recipes, cooked with fresh products from the garden or the market.

I am Sandro, your host. I am a qualified guide, a specialist in Guadeloupean heritage and WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certified, with a specialization in rum. As a native Creole, I offer you a stay rich in encounters, exchanges and discoveries.

Did you know that permaculture, now very fashionable, was already practiced by our Kalinago ancestors? They have bequeathed us this knowledge of nature, harmony and respect for the living. The Ichali garden (which means "mother earth" in the Arawak language) is the heir to it. Free guided tours are offered to our guests on request.
