Summary:
Welcome to our 5 bedroom UPSCALE vacation home next to beautiful Paw Paw Lake. This charming property includes the entire home, yard, Karaoke, fire pit, swing set, workout bike, ample parking, and HOT TUB and MOST OF ALL SO CLOSE TO PAW PAW LAKE. Pool will be open for Summer (***BASED ON WEATHER FOR OPENING/POOL IS NOT HEATED***)

UPDATE POOL IS CLOSED 8/7/2025. IT IS NOT LISTED AS AN AMENITY. THE POOL IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON and we have marked our home 50% off to reflect that.

Before we can confirm any booking, we do need to know:
1. What brings you into town?
2. How many people will be staying at the home?
3. Do you expect any visitors, if so how many?

NO PETS!
POOL IS SERVICED EVERY WEDNESDAY (unfortunatley we cannot make exceptions to this)

We may require an ID and/or signed Rental Agreement or a refundable deposit prior to check in.

We only provide the initial supplies for the stay. If more are needed throughout the trip, It will be the guest's responsibility.

We do allow a MAX of 14 people that can sleep in beds (sharing included) It is $25 per person a night over guest # 10. We need all visitors apart of the reservation and there are RING cameras on the exterior of the home that do record motion.

We do not have keys or access to our mailbox.

Fireplace (just for looks/non-functioning).

HOUSE RULES

NO PETS! If any pets are brought to the home there will be a $500 fine/per night and possible eviction. This is not a pet friendly home.
No smoking or Vaping (of anything) inside the home. $500 fine if home smells like smoke.

We do NOT allow late check out. There is a charge of $25/10 min after 11AM.

Must book for the total number of guests staying/visiting the home. $100 per unauthorized guest/night.
Ring cameras on the exterior of the property. These do record when it captures motion. Blocking of camera will lead to eviction and $1000 fine. NO EXCEPTIONS!
If a security team is called due to an infraction of the house rules, the guest agrees to pay for the security team ($500 minimum) and the duration of the reservation, even if removed by the security team due to the infraction.
Do not cover Ring Cameras, this will lead to an eviction and forfeiture of security deposit.
Please DO NOT flush feminine products/paper towels/any foreign substance down the toilet (ONLY toilet paper). It is not good for the pipes and if there is an issue we may pass the charge onto the guest.
We may require a security deposit, rental agreement and/or a picture of a Government ID.
Guest accept the risks that come with using bunk beds/ladders
Guest understands the responsibility of being near water.
All children MUST be supervised when in the backyard/near the water/pool/hot tub.
Please no burning of candles, incense, or anything else in the home. If done, this will be treated as “smoking” in our house rules. Thank you.

Overall Decent

Check-in process was rocky as the keypad was low battery and we had to call the property owner to find a physical key. Property owner also informed our group that someone would be out to fix the keypad the following day and nobody came.Additionally, the speakers in the projection room were not connected to anything, and the projector was not connected to wifi. It is unable to be found on the app they instruct you to download. The instructions were mostly unhelpful when trying to troubleshoot. The property as a whole was very cool and clean, with lots of opportunities in the area.

Overall disappointed in the photos vs. reality of the home. The home was dirty, dead bugs inside on floors, floor grates all are black and filthy. The kitchen floor is uneven and tripping hazard, need to wear shoes or you even stub your toes on the planks that are not locked in securely, our child cut her toe. The backyard was by far terrible compared to pictures, weeds everywhere, playset was unusable with thorn weeds all over the mulch, all the furniture hasn’t been washed up, chairs are broken and terrible shape around the fire ring and pool. We had to wash the couch cushion covers just to feel comfortable sitting on it. We had to wash the outdoor table and chairs just to use them, coated with dirt. And the pool did not even have water in it, it was unusable after having confirmed in April it would be open during our stay in June. When discussing our concern it was just one excuse after the next, Canadian wildfires, weather etc. excuses as to why the pool wasn’t open, it’s fine to have real excuses but never once were we communicated with that the pool would not be open. We packed up pool stuff and our kids were excited to be completely disappointed. The owners offered us 60 towards pizza to compensate, for a 2000 stay. Then offered refund for 2 nights to leave but at that point we wouldn’t get enough money back to make it worth our time. Definitely not a great experience and we would not recommend. Pretty location to view Paw Paw Lake but that’s about it.

Dirty, filthy, moldy

This place is the dirtiest place we've ever seen through our VRBO reservations. Mold everywhere, filthy rooms, disgusting pool with green moldy water. The house needs serious remodeling/updates and most important a good deep cleaning !!! We came with our family, kids, and we could not believe what we saw. We did not spend even 10min in the house how dirty and smelly the house was. Then we called vrbo customer service, they forced us to stay one night, which we have not agreed to and wanted to leave as soon as possible to find another place to stay. After 2 hrs on the phone with the vrbo representative we agreed to leave and pay one night so we could move forward with our vacation time. After some time we found out that was a big mistake as they did not ever refund us any vrbo fee because of the one night agreement (again we did not stay in the house). After all, it cost us almost $900 for nothing !! Please do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere, this house is not worth a penny. !!

Disappointing

This rental is so disappointing. The pool is non-functional and apparently has been broken for over a month and requires massive repair (which the rental company is aware of). It also smells of raw sewage. The stairs are not safe for children or individuals with mobility issues (different size steps and risers, no railings). The house is dirty and worn, and has clearly seen better days. So disappointing because but for the cleanliness, safety, and pool issue this could have been a fun place to stay. This house is marketed as a luxury rental and it is NOT a luxury rental and should not, in good conscience, cost this much.

Great location, amenities didn't work.

The house and location are beautiful and well kept. Some of the furniture isn't very comfortable, but the house itself is so cool and well cared for. We had several issues with the listed amenities that should have been avoided before we arrived. The property managers were very responsive the week leading up to our stay and were very nice every time we talked. While we were there, we couldn't get the hot tub to heat, and the tub kept telling us to change the filter. We even asked the week before if the hot tub is functional and available to use, which they confirmed. The projector also didn't work, and there were no instructions on how to use it. We messaged the managers about both of these issues, but the response time was slow, and when they did respond, they kept asking for videos of what we had tried and pictures of the equipment. They sent us youtube vids of how to use the projector, but the vids were about how to set up the projector, which was already done, not how to make it work. It seemed they were googling how to use the equipment, and it wasn't helpful. We got the tub to heat once and used it one night, but couldn't get it to heat again, and the managers didn't help. We never did get the projector to work, so we watched movies on our tablet, which wasn't easy for 5 adults. Overall the stay was nice, but we chose the house and paid for specific amenities because we wanted to use them, and it's disappointing that we couldn't enjoy the perks and weren't helped.

Family Days

This house had several places where our family of 12 could gather- a spacious table in the kitchen as well as a long table outside for easy dining. The projector room was a very popular place for watching movies and binging series. Many hours were spent splashing and cooling off in the pool. The kids had fun in the playhouse and enjoyed the shuffleboard and bocce court.

Great family vacation

We stayed here in the winter months so didn’t experience the pool, fire pit, etc which looked great but it was a great house for a family with lots of young kids. The kids loved the movie theater and hot tub!
