My family had a great time staying at the house. We cooked several meals and never turned on the TV. We spent time together on the water. Our dog also had a blast. She finally got to go on vacation.

Great!

Cute home with all the amenities. Wifi was hit or miss some. Water was very shallow (it never got above my waist) so fishing off the pier was not we expected and the public fishing pier was closed for repairs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back to Dauphin Island, its such a cute quiet town.

We loved having our meals on the deck, fishing from the wharf. Plenty of room for being with family in the house, deck, wharf, beach and swimming in the Sound.

Wonderful view

The dock is top tier! Private beach and SUPER close to the gulf side. Walkable for when the parking lot is full. We have stayed in many houses on Dauphin Island and definitely would choose this house again.

Great location

Perfect location on the bay with access to the gulf as well - the best of both worlds. Loved the sunsets off the back deck, the private beach and the dock as well. We will be back!

Perfect house for a family relaxation trip

We wanted to try Dauphin Island for a relaxation getaway. We have heard how quiet it is and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the back deck along with the dock the entire trip. It was well worth the trip.

Wonderful!!

We loved everything about our stay. The house is way more spacious than it appears in pictures. The large walk in showers were perfect for my MIL due to mobility issues. We loved that is was dog friendly. Our two guys had a great time. The number of towels and washcloths provided was spectacular! It’s a simple thing but most places only provide one per person so you end up washing a lot. We are already planning to book again for next year! 10/10 all the way around.

We have always loved the location and have rented here several times before. But upon arrival the home had lots of issues that we addressed with management company and were disappointed with the way they were handled. We reached out with them personally before posting publicly

Great bayside house

Loved the house. Very close to the beach and parking permit provided, plus a private pier and sandy beach on the bayside. Will echo prior reviews and advise to bring coffee filters, salt/pepper, a few tupperwares for leftovers and transport of food to the beach. Will be back!

Sun Haven - more like heaven

We loved the quiet bay side of this home so much. It was perfect for our family of 4. The sunsets and dinners on the back deck were wonderful. The beach is a very close walk. Pro tip: bring basket type coffee filters or pods for Keurig. Also bring olive oil, salt and pepper for cooking.

Prepare to bring necessities

The view is nice and the home is clean
.but the kitchen should be remodeled and stocked better. No salt/pepper, coffee filters, spices, etc. Nothing to use to cook. Pots and pans should be thrown out. Gas grill’s door was off and the grill was on a moving dolly. Home needs comfortable outdoor furniture/seating. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms nicely updated but water pressure in small shower not great. Not sure property managers are doing this place much justice. Lots of potential but missed the mark on what we have always seen in other rentals and to only get corporate response of “that listing doesn’t include that” rather than “how can I help?” was disappointing.

Wonderful home on the bay

We loved our stay here over the Christmas holiday. The home was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed except a hair dryer. It has a wonderful, spacious layout and well stocked kitchen plus recently updated baths! The showers were huge! We appreciated having 2 recliners also. The deck was large and gated and I think would have a sunset view in the summer. The small beach area was fun to explore and the gulf beach was really close by. The neighborhood was quiet and great for walking my 2 small pups without getting on the main road. Hubs was interested in booking again before we even left!

Beautiful view

We rented so family could celebrate Christmas together. It was large enough for opening presents. The back yard is a dock on the bay and it is the best thing to wake and go to sleep to. The winter price was right.

Water damage in the bedroom

We got to Sunhaven on Oct 13 and staying until the 16th. We arrived around 330pm and everyone put their belongings in their bedroom. We left and went fishing at the pier. That night around 12pm we come to the house. My daughter goes to take a shower and went to her bed which is tye room with 2 double beds and her pillow blanket and tablet is soaking wet. She alerted us. I went to check and the ceiling and bed is soaking wet. Due to discoloration there has been a leak previously. I called support line and they stated they will have someone out that next morning. Morning comes and someone from Vacasa called stating it's an AC leak and someone is coming. A guy came and pour bleach in the lines. However ever since the leal there has been a bad odor to which both my girls could not sleep in that bedroom. Another guy came that works on the AC and he said it wasn't the AC. Either way both my girls had to sleep on the couch and not once did Vacasa offer me a discount of this inconvenience it caused us.

Perfect for a relaxing, quiet weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was just what we needed- neat, clean, peaceful -and Vacasa was very communicative throughout. The bathrooms particularly stood out with a rain shower and huge tub in the master. The couches in the living were perfect for afternoon naps. Would definitely stay here again.
