The Patio de Santa Clara is a charming apartment on the ground floor of a small old building facing the Jardim Boto Machado and close to the famous Feira da Ladra flea market. Located a few minutes walk from the Alfama district, the Santa Apolonia train station, and the Graça and São Vicente district. We accommodate up to 6 people, there are 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room with a sofa bed, and a pleasant terrace where you can have your meals in peace!

The apartment has the privilege of being at the only one with a patio at the back of the building, quiet, with a table and chairs. Ideal for meals with family or friends! There is a fully equipped kitchen: fridge/freezer, gas cooker with oven, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, toaster and iron. Heating is in all bedrooms and living room, there is also WIFI and cable TV.

Bed linen and bath towels are also included.

On request, and at an additional cost (prices depend on the type of service), we can arrange daily cleaning of the apartment and change of sheets and towels.

In the living room we have guides and maps of Lisbon and an information book with instructions and "our" lisbon tips.

If necessary we have cots and baby chairs available on request.

Lisbon Tourist Tax
Tax amount: 4 EUR per person/per night.
Limit: Subject to a maximum amount of 7 nights per guest.
Who must pay: All guests aged 13 and over, except those whose stay is motivated for proven health reasons.
We will be collecting in cash the amount corresponding to your reservation, at check in.

Visit at Lisbon

Nicely located in the old Lisbon. Close to attractions, restaurants and other commodities. 20-25 minutes from the airport. Up-stair neighbors could be up as early as 5:30am.

Great stay

Good communication, great location and cute apartment. Kitchen was (for 6 people) only sparsely equipped, but overall it was enough. The bathroom smel a bit like chlorine.

Fantastic, simply fantastic!

Great location allowing for wonderful walks through local Lisbon neighborhoods and alleyways, small shops, and getting to experience how locals live. We enjoyed it greatly, and getting to meet Joana and speak with Paula was frosting on the cake!

A great apartment in a calm area

The landlady was very nice and helpful. The apartment had all the useful facilities. So enjoyable to be able to eat on the terrace!! Only negative point: very noisy neighbours.

Little piece of paradise

We loved the apartment. The patio out back was so nice to spend some downtime. The location was wonderful, close to restaurants and groceries. Within walking distance to numerous points of interest. There is an awesome market on the streets on Tuesdaysand Saturdays. We had a fantastic two weeks. Thanks Paula.

Great style and location!

The classic building is located in a quiet street opposite of a park and even if on ground floor with a view at the river. The floor plan is unusual while creating a fine atmosphere, the interior design being very well composited. It is surprisingly light, well equipped and the communication with the very friendly owner always quick and informative. Travelers please notice the arrival times since the key must be handed out personally. Parking in the street is still free. This place is really worth a recommendation.

Great apartment base for city break

Great size and space for what we needed, everything seemed to have been thought of. The only things we could have done with were a few coat hangers/space to hang some clothes up and locks to the rear sliding doors (which didn't seem accessible from anywhere but still felt a bit risky!) The neighbours to the rear were very noisy at night, but that didn't detract from our enjoyment of staying in this apartment - you expect some noise on a city break! Would definitely recommend.

The check-in was not very desirable. We had to wait on the street for almost 45 minutes before someone came to let us in. Otherwise our experience with the property was good and the location was very convenient.

Awesome neighborhood, fine apartment

The great: The park across the street and the view from the front window. In spring, absolutely gorgeous with purple flowers and view out to the sea in the distance. The park has a playground, dog park, and cafe and was very nice to hang out. The good: Communication with property manager around check-in was just fine. This does require meeting for key handoff which is not unusual. Joana made sure someone was there to meet us to let us in and provide keys. We did check in at a conventional time, so not sure if that made a difference. Kitchen was extremely clean. We didn't cook or really eat any food there. The less good: We did have four in our party- 2 adults, 2 kids. First, by default the four pillows for the beds were very flimsy and no additional pillows were available. When we went to set up to go to bed, we realized there were no sheets or blankets for the sofa bed. Texted Joana and she said she would bring them the next day. We got home late the next evening-- no sheets/blankets had been left. I texted Joana and she ghosted me. Just no response.

Gute Wohnung in ruhiger Lage.

Keine Probleme. Kommunikation ist sehr gut. Die Lage ist in der Altstadt in ruhiger Umgebung. Die Wohnung liegt auf einer Hügel. Bis zum Metro 10-15 min. Bis zum Zentrum 30 min zu Fuß.

Magnifique séjour

Nous avons pris beaucoup de plaisir à séjourner de ce côté de Lisbonne que nous ne connaissions pas. Le logement est idéalement situé non loin du centre ville. Beau petit parc juste en face et la gare et les bus ne sont pas loin. Restos très sympas et bons aux alentours. L'appartement est agréable et nous disposions de tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Merci à notre hôte pour sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse.

Lisbonne sans voiture

De l'appartement, Lisbonne se visite à pied, en métro ou autres transports en commun qui se trouvent tout près donc facile d'accès. On se trouve un bon stationnement et on y laisse la voiture le temps du séjour. Beaucoup de circulation les 2 jours du marché aux puces, on y fait le tour où on en profite pour voir d'autres secteurs de Lisbonne. Nous avons beaucoup aimé les deux visites guidées que nous avions réservés. Nous y avons fait un beau et bon séjour.

Campo de Santa Clara or Adro de Santa Engrácia is a public place in Lisbon located to the east of the city and belongs to the parish of São Vicente, between the stations of Lisbon-Santa Apolónia, Santa Engrácia, Graça and Santo Estêvão).
The square owes its name to the monastery of the Poor Clares built in 1294 and which was destroyed by the earthquake of 1755).
The Jardim Botto Machado, Santa Clara Market and several civil and military buildings are nearby.
As an example of religious architecture, two of the most important temples in the city stand out, namely the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora and the National Pantheon. The first was built by D. Afonso Henriques at the time of the conquest of Lisbon over the Muslims, and in fulfillment of a vow made to the martyr São Vicente, constituting an important royal pantheon of the Braganza dynasty. The second, also known as the Church of Santa Engrácia, and which, due to the slowness of its work, gave rise to the popular adage "Obras de Santa Engrácia", is the first example of Baroque in the country and the Pantheon of the Illustrious Figures of the Nation.
In terms of civil architecture, four palaces stand out, namely: the Palace of the Marquesas of Lavradio, the Sinel Palace of Cordes, the Condes Palace of Barbacena and the Conde Palace of Resende. All are currently in good condition.
It is also here that, since 1882, the Feira da Ladra (flea market) market has been held every week, on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.

There are free parking spaces on the streets around and on our street. Attention now the day before the flea market, Tuesdays and Saturdays, the entrance to the street is conditioned, see impossible to park. It is advisable to move the vehicle if you park in the square.
By transport you have bus stops in the square, and you are 10 minutes walk (600 m) from the train and metro station of Santa Apolonia.
