Located in the Arrowhead resort of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Bear Retreat is a newly renovated (in 2022) cabin for families and friends. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom pet-friendly (dogs only, please!) cabin offers space for up to 8 guests, along with parking for 3, a fully equipped kitchen, a warm cabin atmosphere, and some nice extras to make your Smoky Mountain getaway extra-special! Catch up with friends or take the family to the mountains for a great weekend!

Start your mornings at Bear Retreat sipping coffee in the rocking chairs on the deck. Chat in the porch swing as the sun comes up before preparing a hearty mountain breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen. The living room is a comfortable place to relax and watch TV on the big screen, surf the high speed internet, or plan out the day's adventures. Then treat yourself to some relaxation with a bath in the indoor jetted tub or a soak in the outdoor hot tub! Wooded views offer a peaceful setting, and there is a charcoal grill for cooking out. The cabin also has a nice electric fireplace, perfect for sipping hot cocoa on those cool mountain nights.

Entertainment includes a big screen TV, TVs in the bedrooms, a multicade, and a pool table. Plus, you'll have community pool access for those hot summer days. Easily park your motorcycle here, toss some clothes in the washer/dryer, and feel right at home! At night, enjoy 2 king-size beds, 1 sleeper sofa, and 1 futon.

Pigeon forge trip

Nice location, close to everything . A couple trees fell on to the cabin while we were there. Did a little damage on spouting, I'm not sure if there was any more, it definitely gave us a scare. But other than that it was a very nice cabin.

Weekend Mountain Getaway

Had a nice long weekend staying I the Smokies. Cabin was fantastic, and the entertainment around Pigeon Forge is limitless.

Cozy cabin

Good location, close to everything. Comfortable beds. 6 adults fit, but 8 would be tough. They even had a Christmas tree up! Safe neighborhood too.

Bear Retreat Stay

We really appreciated the fact that already had dishes and silverware ready for us to use. Though we did find trash hidden in some places and stained covers; overall the cabin was amazing! My family enjoyed the arcade game and the pool table.... And we couldn't get enough of the hot tubs and board games. I think our stay was well worth it's price.

Bear Retreat

Crammed in the midst of a BUNCH of neighbors, is a cute and quaint Bear Retreat. I wouldn't recommend more than 4 people. It says parking for 3 but that would be for compacts or motorcycles. We had a Ford Edge and a Chevrolet full size truck with barely enough room. It is on a hill. One of our neighbors used a rock to put behind the tire.

Pros: close to everything in PF. Plenty of towels, etc. Nice appliances. Set up for cooking. Cons: Couches, beds, cabinets quite worn out. Trying to get front door to open with key code was a NIGHTMARE each time. No keurig Only pot. Cabin on hill behind us could see right into upper bathroom. Hung a towel. Kids in cabin up behind us sounded like they were running on our roof when they were on their deck. Throw blanket smelled like urine or Chinese food. Not sure.

A nightmare stay

Had multiple issues with accessing the property over 3 days of our 4 days vacationing at this property. The management team for this property failed to fix the front door issue. During this time we were accused with letting our dogs run the house. Which was not true and we had to prove it was not true, by going out of our way. Then was threatemed with multiple fines for no reason. The management staff was completely rude, not professional. The house was fine but needless to say because of all this and getting very agitated we didnt get to enjoy it like would have liked to.

Terrible lack of Cleanliness

This was a first time VRBO stay and I have to say I am not sure why you charge such a high cleaning fee when we did not walk into a clean cabin. The first thing that hit us was the smell. Who ever stayed there b4 us fried fish and boy did it smell!! Needed to get airfreshers. Dirty kitchen table & countertops. I could feel the sticky, crusty spots like it was never wiped down. I cleaned them and ants still found a spot that was sticky. Main toilet ran if handle was not jiggled. Both toilet paper holders are lose. Shower was terribly dirty. Lose tile outside shower. A wash rag was shoved into a knotty pine hole. Refrigerator motor runs constantly. How was this OK with the people that cleaned this cabin?? If this is a representation of VRBO I am sorry to say we will not be back.

Great Cabin in Pigeon Forge!

We had a fantastic stay at the Bear Retreat cabin in Pigeon Forge. The boys loved the arcade games in the evenings after we were home from our adventures in the park. I really appreciated the comfy bed and full kitchen. The cabin was only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge but was located on a quiet hillside.

No after hours non-emergency contact/help

The hot tub had no power running to it on the evening we arrived. We called the number available. It was around 7 or 8pm. The call service lady was unable to help us unless it was an emergency She was unable to tell us where the breaker box was at the home. We were unable to use the hot tub on our first evening there because of this. I woke up early the next morning so that I could call the number right at 8am, in case a repairman needed to visit, I didn’t want them visiting while we were gone. Luckily the 8am woman was able to tell me where the breaker box was and get the hot tub up and running from the phone call in about 10 minutes. Thankfully it was the hot tub breaker that was tripped and not part of the house because it took 12 hours to receive help. It also took a long time for the refrigerator to cool and the hills in the neighborhood are very steep and parking limited. Both tub plugs didn’t work. Hot tub was very clean, house as described, fun Atari game system and pool table. I wish I would have remembered a Tide pod so I could use the washing machine.

Great cabin

Me and my family absolutely loved this cabin. It was so easy to get to. The kids loved the hot tub. Everyone loved the jetted bathtubs. It was also pet friendly which was great, so we could bring our fur baby.

Anniversary

Beautiful clean quiet cabin. We had our 35th anniversary and my son and daughterinlaw had their 3rd anniversary. I highly suggest this getaway spot. We plan on booking for a week for vacation. Hopefully we get same cabin!

Birthday trip

The cabin was nice. The beds were great size but not as comfortable as I would have liked. The setup was great. TV’s were little difficult as well as the directions to cabin. Very steep winding roads and a little confusing. Overall a good trip.
