The Cocoonr/Book&Pay agency offers this charming house for rent, a former farmhouse renovated in the 1980s. Isolated in the mountains of Orpierre, it offers breathtaking views of the BuĂ«ch valley. Facing south-east, it has 220 mÂČ of living space and can accommodate up to 6 guests. It comprises a 100 mÂČ living room (with fireplace) opening onto the terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a mezzanine bed, a bathroom (with shower and bathtub) and a large garden. Wi-Fi, sheets included and towels available at an extra charge. We look forward to welcoming you!
The accommodation is laid out as follows:
On the ground floor
- A spacious 100 mÂČ living room with TV, sofas, fireplace, dining area and access to the terrace
- A fully equipped kitchen with electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, hob, etc.
- The mezzanine, which opens onto the living room, has a double bed (140Ă190) and a desk area
- From the living room, a few steps lead to a bedroom with a king-size bed (180Ă200)
- A bathroom with shower and bathtub
- A separate WC
On the tower level:
Ground floor: an office and a games room.
First floor: a bedroom with a double bed (140Ă190).
For even more comfort, the owner has decided to invest in the following additional equipment: barbecue, high chair, washing machine, cot, fan, iron.
Outside:
You will enjoy an exceptional 120-hectare estate, consisting of well-maintained fields, a river and beautiful oak and fir forests. The house is home to a horse and a donkey, which are fed by the owner (no maintenance required).
- A 50 mÂČ terrace adjoining the living room with furniture to enjoy sunny days
The house is ideally located in Orpierre, in a very pleasant environment. You will be close to all essential shops as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars, markets, etc.
Activities:
Climbing in Orpierre, Via Ferrata, hikes for all levels, trails, swimming in lakes (Riou or Germanette), in the Méouge gorges, paragliding from the Chabre site, canyoning, bike rides, farm visits, etc.
Transport:
- A car is essential to access the house, as there is no public transport.
- You can park behind the house, where there is parking available for all types of cars (5 vehicles). Access is via a dirt track, which is passable but has a few potholes and bumps.
As for other modes of transport, here is some information that you may find useful:
- TER train station in Laragne-Montéglin, 15 minutes by car.
Other comments:
- Free Wi-Fi is available, but as the property is isolated in the mountains, the network may be limited.
- For winter stays, the heating is moderate. Remember to bring warm clothing to fully enjoy your stay.
- Bed linen is included, towels are not included and can be provided on request at an additional cost (rental and payment to be made to the owners on site). The prices given are indicative and subject to change.
- The fireplace is functional, the first fire is free, wood can be provided at an additional cost
- Pets are welcome free of charge. Only one pet (cat or dog) is allowed per stay.
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future visitors. We kindly ask you to leave it in a clean condition and to clean the appliances after use.
- Any request to arrive or depart outside the specified times is subject to the availability of the person in charge of reception. A flat-rate supplement may be charged.
