Koppla tillbaka och koppla av i en chalet vid vattnet som kombinerar stuga charm och moderna bekvÀmligheter. Huset byggdes 2004 och ligger pÄ den soliga norra sidan av Chalk Pond, en orörd, 21 tunnland stor sjö i Newbury, NH. Njut av vattnet frÄn din privata brygga med fiske (NH-licens krÀvs Älder 16+) och bad, eller kanot / kajak över till den lilla ön mitt i dammet. Inga drivna farkoster Àr tillÄtna pÄ Chalk Pond; en kanot i full storlek, tvÄ enstaka kajaker och flytvÀstar levereras med huset. Du har ocksÄ tillgÄng till husÀgarföreningens privata sandstrand, basketplan, tennisbanor och nyligen uppdaterad lekplats.

FrÄn vÄr ytterdörr Àr det en fem minuters promenad till Stoney Brook Wildlife Sanctuary, dÀr du kan vandra tvÄ olika stigar genom en vacker 362 hektar stor bebyggelse. Se efter Àlgar, hjortar, flygande ekorrar, till och med piggsvin! Ta en 15-minuters bilresa till Mt. Sunapee Harbor, Mt. Sunapee Ski Resort eller den pittoreska staden New London som har bra shopping, restauranger och en sommarlagerteater.

Det stora sovrummet har en queen size-sÀng och privat dÀck, det andra sovrummet har en tvilling och en full sÀng. Den nedre vÄningen har en TV och drottning futon. Hela dÀck utanför vardagsrummet erbjuder en lugn utsikt över vattnet och har dÀckmöbler och en gasgrill. Nyligen klar walk-out kÀllaren har tvÄ futon stolar och TV med DirecTV satellit; bra plats för barn och tonÄringar att umgÄs!

TrÀpanel, handmÄlade stenciler, vÀggdukar och landsdekor ger huset en bekvÀm, rustik kÀnsla. Det Àr noggrant rent och kompletterat av moderna bekvÀmligheter som inte alla stugor har: fullt utrustat kök, diskmaskin, tvÄ fulla bad, fullstor tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare och Wi-Fi-Ätkomst. För att lÀsa vÄra positiva gÀstrecensioner, blÀddra nedÄt pÄ denna sida. Under högsÀsong (mitten av juni till mitten av september) hyr hus bara hela veckor, lördag till lördag. Quiet, well maintained and equipped cottage, with all the comforts of home. Covered decks to sit on as well as one on waters edge. It was a mother, daughter vacation and we looked for a place to relax and reboot. We found it !!! And Marybeth was a great host !

We had a very nice stay on Chalk Pond. The house was actually larger and nicer than I had expected based on photos. We had 4 adults and 2 children stay and were very comfortable. The house and kitchen had everything we needed, really can't think of anything that we could have used. The lake was nice, we used the kayaks a few times and spent a fair amount of time on the dock. Very peaceful setting. I will certainly consider staying here again in the future.

Swim escape

The waterfront cottage is appealing, comfortable, and well-equipped, and well managed. I particularly enjoyed my daily swims from the dock and found the cottage cozy on rainy mornings, making my week in New Hampshire very pleasant.

If you’re looking for quiet, this is your place. Secluded in the woods and on a beautiful pond, we enjoyed our stay. If you’re looking for other things to do on a vacation, you’ll need to do at least a 40 minute drive but otherwise, it was great.

Perfect lake house getaway

Family get together

Location was spectacular, couldn't have asked for a better place. House was as listed with awesome amenities, such as canoe, kayak and more. My family and i had a great get together, especially coming from a long distance to meet up (Colorado). Homeowner was exceptional, and answered all questions as they arose quickly. We had a great stay here. The house was very clean and everything was exactly as pictured. The kitchen was very well equipped including things one typically doesn't find in a rental such as cooking oii which was a nice surprise. All kinds of aquatic stuff to do in the pond with kayaks, paddleboards and a canoe. There was plenty of room for six adults. Marybeth is a great hostess and communicates effectively throughout. Very quiet, yet only 30 minutes from restaurants, markets etc. We would definitely return.

Wonderful stay on Chalk Pond

We loved our stay on Chalk Pond. It’s a beautiful setting with a lovely view. We spent much time sitting near the water and using the canoe, kayaks, and tubes on the water. The house is great. It suited our family group of 7 well. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked. We prepared many meals in it. The beds were comfortable. It is a relaxing and peaceful home and setting. We loved the location, close to hikes, and other attractions. We would love to stay here again.

The cottage at Chalk Pond...

The cottage at Chalk Pond was the perfect place for our New England expedition. The cottage served as our home base from which to visit several colleges for our two daughters. After full days of exploring it was a wonderful home away from home. We gathered around the table for long dinners to share our day. In the morning we awoke to the sounds of the pond beckoning us to take a canoe ride from our private dock. A perfect escape-- Andrea, Todd, Grandma Nancy, Katrina and Samantha

Beautiful home in a beautiful location

We recently spent a week at the cottage and found it absolutely perfect in every regard. This home is beautifully appointed, perfectly maintained and extremely comfortable. Chalk Pond is a jewel and this home takes full advantage of the view from the windows, decks and dock. We found it to be the ideal location for making day trips to the White Mountains, Lake Sunapee, Lake Winnipeasukee and all the surrounding areas. At the end of each day, it was a joy to come back to the house to relax from the daily adventures. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a relaxing vacation in a beautiful location. The owner was extremely helpful and a delight to deal with.
