Helt renoverat 2003 med ytterligare uppdateringar år 2009, är denna 3: e våningen enhet fullt utrustad med allt du behöver för en avkopplande semester vid stranden. Med hisnande strand och havsutsikt från helskärmad Lanai och bara några steg från både den lugna poolen och den sandiga vita stranden (fantastisk för både simning och snorkling). Stranden har både Palm och Casuarina träd för riklig nyans. Rum och Kai är den perfekta storleken (1.039 sq ft) för par eller en liten familj som söker en verkligt stressfri strandferie.

Inom gångavstånd till en brygga är du bara några minuter från den berömda Sting Ray City och Caymans berömda nordmur, vilket gör Rum & Kai till en idealisk bas för en Dyk-semester.

Amazing Stay

My wife and I stayed here for a week and loved every minute of it. The condo was great....clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We also love Rum Point and the North Side. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great condo-very clean-well, appointed with all appliances, towels etc.

We enjoyed our visit to Grand Cayman. The Retreat condo was a great place to stay for “home base”. Not too far from Georgetown, great for scenic drive and shopping. You do not have to travel far for groceries or restaurants. High.y recommend Tukka for great food and drinks.. Very comfortable and relaxing- we will be back.

Gorgeous condo and a wonderful trip!

Wow - We had such an amazing time on our one week trip! The condo was really very well kept, and the decorating and comfort it had was a real treat. We went to various beaches across the island, and we believed the beaches right outside the condo (Rum Point) were the nicest on the island! We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and would absolutely stay there again. Overall, an amazing trip!

Excellent Condo

This was the. most well-equipped condo I have ever stayed (& I've stayed in several) along with many nicety upgrades. VERY clean. Location was just what we were looking for ... private, serene, relaxing. Owners were VERY responsive to questions prior to and after booking. Great folks to work with and a wonderful condo.

Great place - accurately described. Very clean. We had a bit of a glitch with the air conditioning not working on our last night; although they weren’t able to fix it before we left - the owners were very responsive to this issue. We would recommend this rental to others.

Beautiful View

The condo is fully stocked, super clean, and beautifully decorated. It was perfect for the two of us. Our favorite place to drink coffee in the morning and rum in the evening was the lanai. The lanai is better than the photos - beautiful furnishings and view. Also, we made good use of the snorkeling reference books the hosts supplied. Very much appreciated.

Awesome vacation

This was our 2nd stay at this condo. It was perfect for the 2 of us. Super clean, awesome 3rd floor ocean view, decor is very nice, bed was comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, easy check in, great book of suggestions of things to do/ places to eat, and great hosts! Highly recommend staying here. Rum Point is still under some construction as of March 2023, but the beach area is good and the snorkeling was great. They have food and drinks available. We saw sea turtles at the end of the pier for the fist time. We also saw some sting rays.

This condo is located on ...

This condo is located on one of the most magnificent spots that we could have imagined. It is a beautiful, quiet, secluded beach located next to Rum Point—a key destination in the Caymans. The beach also provided amazing and safe snorkeling. This was our first time snorkeling and we were able to see some incredible sites just 30 yards off the beach.The condo itself is gorgeous, spacious, and has everything that we needed. It also has a screened lanai with a view of the ocean that was perfect for breakfast and lunch. And Rum Point, just walking distance from our beach, provided numerous water sports, dining, and bar.We will be hard pressed to duplicate a vacation spot as beautiful as this.

What an Underwater Paradise!

We had a fabulous time at #13 Rum & Kai. The flat was perfect - great location, superbly decorated and kitted out. But by far the best part was the snorkelling outside - what and underwater paradise! I think we would have been lucky to have seen Nurse Sharks, Eagle Rays, Sting Rays, Hawksbill and Green Turtles, Green Moray Eel, Yellow Fin Grouper, giant Parrotfish, Spotted Lobsters, Barracuda and so much more had we paid to go diving. But here it was right on the doorstep. We very much hope to be back. (The underwater snorkeling guides provided were particularly nice to have).

Perfect

We were lucky enough to rent #13 at The Retreat on Rum Point. It was fantastic! Perfect beach for relaxing, reading, sunning and snorkeling! The marine life right there was AWESOME! Loved the décor in the condo...lots of nice comfy towels and tons of little extras included! Great place to get away from it all. You felt like you had the whole resort to yourself! Beautiful setting. Would go back in a second! WILL go back! It is the perfect place to get away from it all, or walk next door to Rum Point and be in the thick of things! Red Sail sports next door is handy for any activities....and nice people to deal with!

Very Peaceful Piece of Paradise

We just returned from a week at this wonderful property. It was very clean and extremely well stocked. The staff on site was quite helpful. If you want peace and quiet this is a good place for you. The snorkeling in front is just like depicted in the pictures. It is next to Rum Point where there is a bar, restaurant and water sport rentals. If you want to be where all of the action and tourist attractions are this location will require a drive across the island a minimum or 45 minutes. There are several restaurants within a 10 to 15 minute drive. Don't miss the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Gardens. We loved our week here and hope to return again some day.

Thank you Matt & Tracey for sharing your condo at Rum Point. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot to stay on Grand Cayman. It was close to all the cool spots on the island. We enjoyed watching the sunset from Star Fish Point every night of our stay. Your condo was well stocked and appointed. We loved having your book of knowledge to help plan each day. Sting Ray City was so close. But one of our favorites was the Atlantis submarine trip to explore under the sea. Also the botanical gardens & Crystal Caves..both just minutes away. The condo is immaculately...

The condo is immaculately kept with everything you could possibly need. The property is clean, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The location is away from the noisy and crowded commercial district of 7 Mile Beach, but right around the corner (100 yards) from the beach club where you can spend the entire day lounging/relaxing, enjoy food and drinks, and watch the incredible sunsets. Although we're both rather novice, the water is perfect for snorkling. The location also allows you to explore the lesser traveled parts of the island (we thoroughly enjoyed the botanical gardens which were virtually empty). My husband and I felt that we really got to see and enjoy the island without being stuck in the tourist areas, but weren't isolated, as we could take a short drive and be in George Town. We highly recommend this condo and are planning on returning next year.

First Class Accomodations

The condo's third floor location, on the water, is perfect! The unit is beautifully decorated with wood and rattan furniture and gorgeous accessories. I was amazed at the extent the owners have taken to stock the unit with everything that you will need. Just to mention a few of the ammenities: everal coolers, a whole tub of snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrella, games, books and beach towels. The coordinated bed and bath linens are beautiful and luxurious. Rum Point is a great alternative to the crowded Seven Mile area. The area is quiet and the water and beach is far better! There is a fully staffed dive shop, bar, lunch venue and two restaurants right next door. You can snorkel right outside your front door and see an amazing array of sea life.

One Bedroom Paradise, BEST SNORKELING ever, and Amazing owners

We have already started saving for our return trip. It was an amazing experience to work with the owners of this VRBO, and they have the condo so well stocked it is unbelievable how they think of everything. Very impressed. Also impeccably clean. The snorkeling from the beach is unbelievable. I am a very beginning snorkeler, that honestly can't really swim-- and we were out in the water every day. This 9 day adventure was priceless. The other owners at The Retreat were amazing also, and the staff that works there. Our favorite place to eat was Tukka, we ended up eating there 3 different times it was so great. I honestly can't put into words how amazing this place is. We found the perfect condo in the most amazing part of the world to spend our anniversary. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your gorgeous home. We will be back.

Condo was wonderful!

The condo and property was wonderful. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need to serve as your home away from home! There was construction going on next door, but the owners had warned us before renting the unit...which I thought was extremely professional of them! It was not really a problem for us as we tend to be on the go exploring the entire island. We did find Rum Point to be a bit windy; so we found ourselves driving to the southern coast and to 7-Mile Beach areas most days to either try out the other beaches or to have dinner...However, we did have dinner our first night at Kaibo and loved that! Would also highly recommend Deckers on 7-Mile Strip....delicious! Would have given 5 stars based on the condo itself...but, because of the location we found ourselves driving the 50 minutes to and from the seven Mile Beach area almost daily, we rated the stay 4 Stars.... However, this was our choice and no fault of the owners or the condo. We tend to rent properties away from it all usually...but, the commuting time was more than expected.

all the comforts of home in paradise!

I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful condo unit for a week in May 2012. The owners have definitely thought of everything! The unit is tastefully decorated and very clean and fresh. Guests have access to a plethora of towels (bath and beach), linens, cookware and all kitchen needs (including microwave, toaster, and coffee maker). This sure does come in handy so that you don't have to use all of your spending money eating out every day. We had breakfast and lunch here for the most part. Stock up at one of the supermarkets near the airport before heading here. There is even a washer/dryer in the unit! The view from the 3rd floor unit is wonderful, it was so nice to sit in the screened in porch area and look out onto the crystal clear waters. The condo complex is on a very quiet part of the island - the beach is gorgeous and the water is perfect. There is a restaurant, snack bar, and beach bar all located on the property and the beautiful beach offers lounge chairs for the guests as well. The unit also provides snorkel gear and a very cool snorkel guide book directing you to the best spots in the area. It was truly a pleasure to take a day trip to the busy 7-mile beach area and be able to come back to a quiet, tropical place. We had/have absolutely no complaints before/during/after our fabulous stay here and are already looking forward to returning!

Beautiful condo in the best location!

My husband and I vacationed here in May. We had stayed at Rum Point previously and knew the location was perfect for the kind of vacation we enjoy. First and foremost the condo is lovely, it has everything you could ever think of needing. It's very clean and it is beautifully decorated. The grounds/pool/beach area are all well maintained. The beach has chairs and trees for shade and the water is shallow and very calm. Rum Point has a very laid back vibe. The Rum point beach club is right next door, so if you need a drink or a bite to eat its steps away. The snorkeling is why we opted to stay at Rum Point. You can walk out the condo door and be in the water swimming out to the reef in a minute. The snorkeling is unbelievable! The north side has many wonderful snorkeling spots. Matt is an expert on Grand Cayman snorkeling. In the condo there is a binder detailing (understatement!) all the best spots to snorkel that he has compiled. (Thank you, Matt, much appreciated). As far as restaurants go. There are a few places very close (Rum Point, Kaibo) and others are a short drive (Over the Edge, Kurt's Korner ). Red Sail Sports does a variety of excursions and they are located next door ant the Rum Point Beach Club. The area really does have a lot to offer. We love it and will surely return. My husband and I stayed a...

My husband and I stayed at Rum & Kai for our 10th anniversary. We wanted an nice quiet, cozy place that was on the beach. We sure found it. Matthew, the owner, was great at getting back to me and answering all our questions when we were deciding on where to stay. The view is so incredible, the pictures didn't do it justice. We had a ritual of sipping our coffee each morning out on the lanai and just listening to the waves and rustling palm leaves, not saying a word to each other. Sheer bliss. The condo is spacious and well appointed. I made sure to ask if there was a blender. My husband had a blast making coconut drinks from the coconuts found on the grounds (he always wanted to do that!). The welcome packet included snorkeling maps to some fantastic areas off the beach I'm sure we would have missed otherwise. The beach is great. Nice and quiet just like we wanted. Some days we were the only people on it. Next door is small beach club that is a bit more lively on some days. The mudslides there at the Wreck bar were awesome, but pricey. We ate dinner next door at the Rum Point Club restaurant and I would highly recommend it. We were accurately advised the food was much better there than lunch at the Wreck Bar. While we used the barbeque grills most nights, we did eat at Kaibo and Over the Edge, both were very good. If you want a special dinner, the Lighthouse is great. Ask for the special table for a really romantic experience. We are so glad we stayed here and hope to come back for our 15th. Wonderful owners and just a real special place.

Excellent and Romantic

We stayed at the Retreat at Rum Point for the first 3 nights of our trip and really loved the place. The condo itself, a one bedroom on the 3rd floor, was perfect. It looked exactly like the pictures and had everything you could possibly need to make it home. The furnishings are lovely and the kitchen was equipped with everything you needed. We did cook breakfast and lunch every day and grilled one night. The bed was very comfortable and the linens and towels were great. There is a linen closet full of towels including really great plush beach towels. The quality of the paper towels and toilet paper was just like home, unlike the next place we stayed so we really appreciated that. The place is super clean and is in really great shape. The balcony has a lovely ocean view and is screened in which was a lifesaver for me because of the mosquitoes. We spent our evenings on the balcony, drinking wine and playing games. They also provide free internet and telephone service, both locally and long distance which allowed us to call ahead to our next place to make sure our other room was ready for us. The location at Rum Point is perfect. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time and had our pick of chairs. There are no umbrellas for shade but there were a few chairs in the shade of some trees near the water. The water entry is not soft sand so you need water shoes to wade in but it was fun to look in the rocks and tide pools where we saw an eel, crabs and fish. For swimming, go next door to Rum Point where there is a great walk in beach for swimming. We found we did need water shoes here as well as there are enough sharp objects in the sand there to make it uncomfortable in bare feet. We did see a number of people visiting Rum Point who did walk through our beach to get to the point but they usually did not stay long. We thought the location and the condo were terrific but in the spirit of full disclosure, there were a couple of things that others may find helpful. The only thing that we would let the owners know is that we would have liked to have a safe. Well, there is a safe but when we called the office to ask how to use it, we were told that it is for the owners use only. We had no problems but we have never stayed anywhere without a safe and we had quite a lot of cash with us so it made us a bit uncomfortable. The unit is on the third floor (obviously) and there is no elevator so be prepared to lug all your belongings up and down by

We finally found our little piece of paradise and would love to share it with you. Having rented countless (OK, a lot) vacation properties, we are quite in tune with what makes an enjoyable vacation rental and what doesn't. The natural beauty of the Rum Point area coupled with the amazing snorkeling right off shore sealed the deal for us. Being located on the quiet side of the island was just an added bonus.

Our unit is on the 3rd floor which provides for exceptional views of the blue Caribbean sea and all the peace and quiet inherent in a top floor unit. We strive to deliver an outstanding product with hassle-free service for each of our guests.
