Om boendet

Vi har ett mycket unikt och rustikt hem i Costa Rica där vi bodde i många år. Du vill ha olika och ljusa vardagsrum / rum där du kan njuta av din tid tillsammans med alla bekvämligheter i huset. Det är ett perfekt utrymme för familjer eller en grupp vänner med våra 3 sovrum (1 king size-säng, 1 queen size och 2 enkelsängar) och två badrum. Eventuellt finns det en extra bäddsoffa i TV-rummet. Huset är mycket fräscht inuti, så på varma soliga dagar kan du antingen stanna inne eller använda våra terrasser med grill eller ännu bättre vår stora trädgård med tropiska växter och ett lusthus. De stora fönstren låter dig njuta av det naturliga ljuset som kommer igenom. Det finns ett garage för två bilar.

Supermarknader, shopping, restauranger och kaféer, sightseeing platser att gå och hur man går runt till vulkaner, nära stränder, bland många andra din bokning). Utöver detta kommer du att bli ombedd att svara på frågorna och hjälpa dig under din vistelse.

Huset ligger i Bello Horizonte, Escazú. Escazú är ett exklusivt område i San Jose, huvudstaden i Costa Rica. Escazú (San Rafael och Guachepelin) erbjuder många stormarknader, köpcentra, restauranger, fina restauranger, klubbar och barer, biografer, gymstudier, crossfit-gym, banker, sjukhus, ... allt du kan begära. Escazú är en vacker förortsby nära bergen, där du kan gå på vandring eller bara njuta av de vackra sevärdheterna med soligt väder eller nattljus (från ett par utkik med typisk gastronomi).

Det finns busshållplatser i närheten inom några minuters gångavstånd från huset. Dessutom är taxibilar (Uber och andra) lätt tillgängliga på begäran. Körning är det bästa sättet att flytta runt i San Jose-området. Du är mycket nära (10-15 minuter) till huvudstaden (San Jose) och det är bara 27 minuter till Caldera och därifrån till stränderna i Guanacaste, som är de vackraste för oss. Från huset kan du lätt nå följande platser:

30 minuters bilresa till SJO (Juan Santamaría International Airport).
San Jose centrum: 10 min
Sunny Santa Ana Valley: 10 min.
Punta Leona / Herradura / Jaco stränder: 1 timme (på motorvägen 27).
Poás Volcano National Park: 45 min
Irazû Volcano Park: 40 min
Zip Lines: 30 min
White Water Rafting: 1 timme

Oavsett om du kommer till semester, affärer, kosmetisk kirurgi eller tandvård, är detta den perfekta hemmabasen. Skapa fantastisk panoramautsikt, en vacker trädgård och massor av bekvämligheter.

Family trip

Spent 2 weeks in this lovely property. Took day trips to see surrounding sights. Bird watched daily in the yard. Felt safe and secure the entire time.

Wonderful house

Positives: This house is great (if you have a car.) The bedrooms are comfortable and the house has plenty of space. I can see 6 people easily in the house. We had four and it was very comfortable. We felt welcomed by the manager. She is responsive to calls and texts. The kitchen is bright and works well with a couple of people working in it. The garden area is relaxing. Negatives: The house is not easy to find the first time. Traffic in front can be loud (we used the fans in the bedroom to cut out the noise). If you like to walk places as we do, the area is not amenable to walking comfortably. The house systems could be improved: You need clear plastic bags for recycling and we could not find them in regular stores. We had to find a store that sold them and that was not obvious. It would be best if these bags were provided. The downstairs bathroom door locks when a wind forces it shut. They provide a nail to open the door. The door lock should be disarmed. The manager is not present at check out and there is an alarm system that gives you one minute to exit after you set it. That was stressful and I would have appreciated having her come and see how the house was left as well as set the alarm.

Great as a starting off point

Since not all of us got to CR at the same time, using this home as a starting off spot worked out well, although not having a correct address caused more than a bit of confusion. Even the locals couldn't agree on the correct description of where the place was located! LOL The house itself is a work of CR art and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Cindy was very helpful and when I locked myself in the yard as we were leaving, she was really helpful in rescuing me.

Excellent choice in Escazu

Our family of 6 had the most amazing stay in this beautiful home. The outdoor patio and yard is where we spent most of our time while home. Gorgeous! Everything is close. Shopping, museums, adventure. So fun to be in a Costa Rican home instead of a cookie cutter hotel. Hosts are very gracious. Safe. Clean. Memorable.

Great location, huge property nice house!

The property is great completely fenced in with a beautiful garden, and nice covered outdoor space with a grill we used on several occasions. The house is also huge with a great kitchen, dining room, living room, tv room and bathroom on the lower level and a spacious garage for two cars. All the real bedrooms are upstairs there are three bedrooms an office space and one bathroom in the upstairs area, two twin beds a king bed and a full. Our group was 3 adults and one child realistically I would say you could have a group of 6-7 people stay in the house as there is only one bathroom near all the bedrooms. The home owners were so kind and accommodating it was easy to feel right at home. I would highly recommend this house for families or couples traveling together. Our family stayed for over a month the only drawback to the house was the laundry the washing machine can only take two towels at a time and there is no dryer, also the machine is very difficult to use and quite old and the buttons etc are in German. Plan to have your laundry done at a laundry facility.

Nice roomy home in Escazu for a big family

Our family loved it here during our stay in Escazu. The home is big and roomy, great for our family of 7. We loved the big covered patio that opened up to the yard. The only bummer was that there were so many ants- the kind that bite! The kids couldn't really play there long. Other than that things were great. The owners were so kind and accommodating.

Charming spacious house

Casa de Furst was the perfect home away from home nestled in the hills of Escazu. We loved being able to hang out and open the back yard and enjoy the many butterflies, hummingbirds, and tropical birds that came to the property. We especially loved the open areas where the family could sit and play games both in the back yard and in the spacious living room adjoining the terrace in the back. The house was well equipped with everything you might need for cooking and lounging. We felt pretty safe in the neighborhood, especially given the fact the house has an alarm. Amanda met us and gave us a packet of well thought out instructions as well as tips / pointers on where to shop for groceries locally. If travelling from Europe, you will be happy to learn the house is wired for 220v as well as the more common Costa Rica 110v. The outlets are clearly marked and the owner thoughtfully labelled outlets as well as other useful tidbits throughout the house, like labels on switches, doors, and English instructions for the German washer. We would love to rent the home again if we are coming to Costa Rica. One additional note: Houses in Costa Rica have no names, so to find the property, download Waze ahead of your arrival (if you don't already use it) and enter Calle Alemanes and Calle Leon (Route 177), which is the nearest intersection.
