This was the perfect place for our family who came in from CA & FL for my son’s graduation. The kids and the adults LOVED the amazing arcade (pictures didn’t do it justice). Kept the kids off their phones! The kitchen was so well stocked with everything you could possibly want plus loved the double ovens & fridges! It was a bummer that the water level was so low in the lake as the view was more beach than lake but we absolutely loved the home & would definitely come back again!

We had challenging weather but still had lots of fun. The lake was in a drought, so too low to go boating, and we had cool rainy weather our entire stay, so we hardly used the pool. Fortunately, the house had more than enough to keep us busy. The photos of the arcade in the listing are an understatement. The kids and adults stayed busy playing games, using the hot tub, enjoying the massage chair. and watching tv. We were pleasantly surprised by how little of the arcade noise you could hear in the bedrooms, which are spaced away from the arcade. We had some minor maintenance issues during our stay, and the hosts were incredibly responsive, showing up within an hour to completely resolve the concerns. The home is well-stocked with toiletries and whatever you might have forgotten at home. The kitchen has plenty of coffee and tea available as well as basic spices. My kids have already asked when we can go back!

I'll start off by saying the host, Jamie, was fantastic. When we arrived at the house, Jamie and the maintenance man where there finishing up working on a few problems created by the last tenants. Even though some of the problems where not what I would consider small, they still had the house ready for us on time. The game room and the pool where a big hit for the 4 grand kids. Didn't have the greatest weather rain on and off so the game room was kept everyone busy. If ya get bored at this place you're doing something wrong. Unfortunately, the area is in a severe drought and the lake is about 5ft or more down so we couldn't get the boat to the dock. But if it were at normal level, this is the place you'd want to be. Kitchen has everything and anything you'll need to work with. There were enough plates and silverware for an army, and a double oven to cook for them. The pool was a nice size for the 4 teens and us old folks with plenty of pool floats and toys. Plenty of seating and lounge chairs with a nice gas grill. Communication with Jamie was great. Any questions we had were answered within 10 minutes. I'm not big on writing long reviews, but the Castle certainly deserves one. From the whole family Jamie, thank you for a fantastic week. Mike

Lovely family vacation in beautiful house!

We had a great family vacation at the castle - we loved that the bedrooms were spacious and many had en suite bathrooms, the pool was so clean and spending time in the pool with all the water toys provided was everyone’s favorite part of the trip! The arcade downstairs was super fun for all too. The lakefront at the house was a bit muddy when we went so we didn’t swim there but enjoyed the kayaks! The location is convenient to different places we wanted to go and we especially loved the smith mountain lake beach!

Thanksgiving Get-a-way

Had a nice time with family and friends at the Castle. Kiddos thoroughly enjoyed game room and all the property had to offer. Would love to come back in season to do some fishing and boating.
