Peaceful and quiet area.

House met all our expectations. Very clean. Beautiful property. Short drive on county roads to Ball State University. Could have had some better towels. Perfect layout.

Relaxing stay

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. Although we didn’t use the hot tub or garage or outdoor features we thoroughly enjoyed the dining room. Home is very comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely rent again if we return to Muncie.

Close to Town

We liked the location, and our dog liked it too. The front yard is picket fenced, there is NOT a chain fence in back as shown on the listing. Beds were comfy.

Eclipse trip

The home was perfectly located for watching totality in 2024. Just far enough out of town to have a country feel, but close enough to Muncie to make shopping and dining convenient.

Nice home in quiet neighborhood

Several co-workers rented this nice home while attending an event at Ball State University. The owner was great to work with and we appreciated how close it was to Ball State.

Large nice house

Property is very clean. I was alone but more than enough room for a family. I had trouble checking in because I could not get the lock info from the VBRO communications, and I could not reach the landlord. it took over an hour on the phone with VBRO to get the appropriate info. The house itself is very nice. Small fenced yard for my dog was a plus

More appealing than pictures.

We really enjoyed our stay! It has so much more charm than i think was captured in the listing. Such a cute farm house! I would caution to bring additional kitchen utensils if you have a larger group. Us and our 3 kids found ourselves having to quickly rewash utensils to reuse but not a big deal. Crockpot, skillets, grill, etc very accessible. Lots of extra washcloths, bedding, etc available. Very quiet and private which was important to us. Would stay again. Thank you!

Family Friendly Home

We traveled to Muncie to see my 90 year old father so he could meet his great grandchildren. The house was comfortable and roomy enough to visit with family. The backyard was spacious for our grands to run and play. They even enjoyed picking and eating apples from the apple tree. We travelled with our 2 dogs and were pleasantly surprised with how warm the garage was for their stay. The home is in a nice rural area that is family friendly. We definitely plan to stay there again when in town next.

Great Country Vibe

We loved staying here. The view from the sun room is awesome. A bit more communication from the owners around recycling and a defective smoke alarm would have been helpful. A better stocked kitchen would be good. There is a great dining area and lots of dishes. Not a lot of flatware.

Country life conveniently located

Although it feels remote this home is actually pretty conveniently located near Muncie and a quick drive to Anderson too. The bucolic back yard gives plenty of room for bocce ball, or just yard lounging. The front porch has comfortable seating to sit and enjoy. It’s comfortable and classic. The owners of the property are very nice and responsive, giving you their phone numbers in case of a need.

Wedding Weekend

We rented this property when we were in town for our son's wedding. Everything was clean and as pictured and the yard was lovely for our dog. Two reasons we didn't give it 5 stars - We did have to reach out to the owners because we never got check in instructions and thr water smells terrible. The whole house smelled after doing dishes or using the shower. We bought bottled water for coffee.

Potential but needs some polish

Overall things were ok. The place is clean and it fit our needs for the weekend. But someone needs to make a small investment in some simple things - new/quality towels is a mush. And better/more dishes and pillows would be greatly appreciated. The towels provided are a very mismatched assortment that are very, very worn, and not very high quality. I usually bring my own pillow but forgot and greatly regretted it. The yard was awesome and overall the stay in town for our daughter's wedding was a success. A little investment in the small (but important) things would do wonders for upgrading the overall experience.

Disappointed

The house was fairly clean, but water very hard to adjust and sulfur smell was terrible. Kitchen is a hodgepodge of stuff. Multiple things plugged into outlets, had a to be right on top of the toddler to keep him safe. No cushion on porch chairs to enjoy the evenings. Would be be very nice with some TLC

Bad experience

Nice house and location. Comfortable beds. The water in the hot tub was cloudy and had strong chlorine smell. The water in the house had strong sulfur smell. Wouldn't drink it or give it to our dog. Took a half shower just to rinse chlorine off after about 15 minutes in hot tub. No hairdryers. Was a big disappointment for the price

Nice older home

This is an older house but was nice and the interior was clean. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Communication with the owners was ok. They responded when called. No check in/ check out procedures were sent. Had to call and ask how to get in the house. I did change the length of stay by removing one day about six weeks before arriving and we were still charged the same amount the cost per night went up. The owners said they had no control and to call VRBO. VRBO said it was the owners call. Pleasant stay.

TOWELS KITCHEN ITEMS COFFEE POT HOT TUB

REGARDING THIS TITLE THE TOWELS AT THE HOUSE WHERE LIKE DISH RAGS TO ME. WHEN I TRAVEL AND USE A VRBO RENTAL I WOULD LIKE THE TOWELS TOO BE SUITABLE FOR MY USE. AS FOR YOUR KITCHEN ITEMS IF I WOULD OF COOKED ANY MEALS I WOULD NEVER HAVE USED YOURS. AND THE COFFEE POT I NEVER SAW ONE LIKE THAT AND IT LOOKED COMPLICATED TO ME SO I WENT AND PURCHASED A EASY MR. COFFEE POT AND ACTUALLY LEFT IT AT THE HOUSE. AND THE HOT TUB SINCE IT WAS IN THE GARAGE AND THE FLOOR WAS COLD AND I KNOW IT WAS MARCH I NEVER DID USE AND I WOULD HAVE REALLY LIKED TO. SO YOU ASKED ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE AND HERE IT IS. I AM REALLY GLAD YOU HAD THE GARAGE SO I KEEP MY CAR IN THERE AND THE REST OF THE HOUSE WAS GOOD.

Triple Check your Reservation!!

Very disappointed in this booking, I booked this in January for May 3-5 weekend for our family to stay for our daughter’s graduation from Ball State. Made the second payment the week before arrival and it went thru. Received a message April 28 to contact owner for key box code. Contacted owner May 2 in the morning was told to call back as he wasn’t home & was unable to give the code. Called 2 more times during the day no answer. Finally got an answer at 6pm and was told he wasn’t home again and to call back at 8:30. Called back at 8:30pm the night before arrival and owner tells me the house is already being used and was booked in December??? Needless to say I was extremely angry this was happening the night before arrival. So wrong on both the owner and VRBO!!! Owner didn’t even seem to care our family of 6 had nowhere to stay! Be careful when booking this house.
