Om boendet

Open the front wall of sliding doors and enjoy the outside seating and dining area and the beautiful valley view as well as views of city lights in the distance. Enjoy the double bed chaise on the second deck area as well. Our 8 meter heated pool and patio area overlook the valley. The house is on 1.7 acres of natural beauty with a 180 degree view of mountains and a valley and the sound of water running from the nearby river.
The house is only a few years old so there are modern appliances, fiber optic wi-fi, smart TV, plush linens and comfy mattresses. . We have 3 baths two bedrooms, a family room and three outside areas to relax, enjoy the view, socialize of find a quiet place to read.
If you need more than a heavenly place to lay back, we are a half hour from the city with restaurants and shopping and an hour from the beach. There are great day trips to waterfalls and beautiful walks.
We will negotiate monthly rentals in the off season.
Please read our reviews. Note that because we are a new house and we rent on more than one site, we don't have as many reviews, but you will find people love it and next year half a good portion of our availability are taken up with returning guests.
The TV has Prime, Apple, Disney, YouTube and Netflix for your viewing pleasure. We have an HDMI cable for your use as well.
Atenas is a great community with a great nice grocery stores, restaurants and the population is welcoming

After we book, we will introduce you to our most excellent caretakers, Piet and Yvonne. Our property managers, Piet and Yvonne Asma, a multilingual (English. Spanish, Dutch and German) couple from the Netherlands are ready to make your stay the best it can be.

As an additional service to our house guests, they offer fee- based airport transfers to help you avoid the potential hassles you can experience in getting from and to the property on your travel days

They also provide car rentals and a variety of tours including daytrips to the Poas volcano, La Paz Waterfall gardens, the very popular organic coffee tour but also various more active tours like ziplining, horseback riding or a private Catamaran sailing tour.

They can arrange for you to have your fridge stocked with your favorite groceries upon arrival, or have a home cooked meal ready for you on your arrival day. For special occasions they can have a local chef come to the house to prepare a gourmet dinner.

After booking the property they will reach out to you to make sure you get all the information you need to make your stay as good as it can be.

Relaxing Stay in the Mountains

The property is located on a hilltop overlooking the mountains. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The home is beautiful and immaculate. Piet and Yvonne are wonderful hosts and very responsive. Great stay filled with awesome memories

My family felt welcomed and comfortable at this property. The finishes were high end and whatever we needed was there. The view was worth watching every day. We heard the native monkeys, saw a variety of birds, and the weather put on a show every night. We spent most of our time there outside, eating on the deck, swimming in the pool, or around the fire pit. It wasn't far out of town and made many excursions out to see the area. The host was helpful and available, if needed. Great stay and filled with awesome memories.

Atenas Perfection

Villa Paraiso was the perfect location to enjoy the natural beauty and climate of the Atenas area. The house is well appointed and well equipped. The kitchen offered us everything we needed to make delicious meals with the excellent local produce. The beds and bedding were superior. And we appreciated the variety of streaming services for evening viewing. But the most important feature for us was the outside living area. Comfortable furnishings, a glorious pool, lovely gardens, plenty of room to spread out and always a choice of sun or shade. The perfect place to escape winter and relax.

Great Location, View and Outdoor Space!

We were so happy to find this vacation rental in Hacienda Atenas, which is our favorite of the 4 premier Atenas communities we’ve stayed in. The lots are spacious and filled with older vegetation, meaning more wildlife! We actually saw a sloth crossing the road right before turning into the development! The house is very comfortable and well equipped, and the outdoor space is fantastic! We ate all of our meals on the terrace looking out at the gorgeous mountain view and into the jungle. The heated outdoor pool was perfect and just the right temperature. Piet and Yvonne are excellent property managers, and are always responsive to anything you need. We will definitely be returning to this property again! Thanks so much!

Tranquilos casa

Tres belle propriete qui est bien entrenue. La cuisine est tres bien equipee pour cuisiner. Nous avons ete bien acceuillie par le gestionnaire Piet et Yvonne. Ils etaient disponibles et ils ont repondus a toutes nos questions. La ville de Atenas a plusieurs restaurants et tout ce que vous avez besoin pour passer un beau sejour. Nous recommandeons cette endroit "tranquilos'' a tous.

My husband is a retired teacher and I am a retired attorney and business owner. A city girl, I was surprised to learn how much I love being in the midst of the mountains and countryside. We enjoy working with our guests and have many return. I used to rent in Costa Rica and had to deal with lots of issues in rentals. I feel good about making sure our guest are comfortable and feel safe and pampered while they are here.

We’ve been coming to Costa Rica for 20 years and stayed all over the country. We love Atenas which is the perfect mix of ex-pats and locals, is located centrally for easy travel, is in the mountains where the weather is quite temperate and where we can get everything we need in town or if necessary.
We added a heated pool and I love it. I step in often and love to play music on the patio while I lull around in the water and check out the grounds for birds.
We bought this house in October 2021. It feel perfect. There are three bedrooms all just the right size. The large deck and sliding doors that open onto it make the house feel large. I love that I can shut the sliding doors most of the way at night and still have a screen door for ventilation.

This is our home half the year. The furniture is comfortable, supportive mattresses, plush towels, fully equipped kitchen, a fire table and I hope you think tastefully decorated. The views are wonderful. We are 8 minutes from town-far enough away to feel we are in the countryside, but close to everything you need. Our property managers will help with anything you need.
