This beautiful mountain home is the perfect place to enjoy a fantastic vacation with friends and family! The main-level living room is open and spacious, with burnished floors and wood accents, a regal wood-burning fireplace, a mounted TV, lots of comfortable furniture, and plenty of space to move around comfortably. Take advantage of the full kitchen to prepare something special for tonight's dinner party - you'll find all the counter space and appliances you need to whip out a world-class meal. The dining table has seating for everyone and there are stools available at the breakfast bar. Upstairs, you'll find comfy furniture and a stereo system, with a small work desk available for remote workers and students. The private washer and dryer will make it easy to keep everyone looking their best during your stay, and you can use the free WiFi to research tomorrow's outdoor adventure. On hot summer days, the central air-conditioning will keep the home nice and cool while you splash around in the shared pool. House on a hill with a view

Great house for larger families or multiple families. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. Loved the porches and patios. Kitchen was well appointed and had lots of space to work in. We didn't get to use the fire pit since it was nearly 90 degrees while we were there but it would have been fun

House on a hill with a view

Nice house! Especially good for larger families or multiple families/couples. Pretty well appointed across the board-everything is labeled in the kitchen for ease of putting things back in place. Porches and patios were especially lovely in the mornings to watch the fog burn off the mountains.

Great location, very private

We were in town for the Thunder in the Smokies Rally, great location close to everything, but very private … had a great weekend, love the fire pit & grill.. would definitely stay here again !!

Good Enough

For the cost it was good enough. The downstairs bath was not useable. It smelled like sewage and there were flies in the drain. There was food left in the oven from whoever previously stayed. We thought the house not as close to the lake as we thought, but it was cute. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and swinging.

Excellent home great property and views

Beautiful Home

Balsam View is a beautiful home in a great location. It is a short .5 mile walk to the lake area. The house has plenty of space, including a second tv area for the kids/other guests. The kitchen is well equipped. The only reason I would give this home a 4 and not a 5 is the bedroom set up and the quality of the mattress in the master bedroom. The only bedroom with an en suite bathroom is a bedroom best suited for children, with three single beds. The remaining three bedrooms share a single bathroom. The quality of the mattress in the master is not what we would expect given how well equipped and furnished the rest of the house is. It was difficult to get a good night sleep in the current bed-it is extremely soft and has a valley in the middle. Other than that, it is a lovely home and we would rent it again.

Perfect Mountain Getaway!

This property was absolutely perfect for our family! We had plenty of space to stretch out. House is tucked away and private yet close to all amenities. Enjoyed exploring around the lake. Would definitely stay again!

Home with a view

Balsam View was roomy, we had plenty of seating, there were 10 of us total. A couple of friends also came to visit one evening and we still had room for everyone. This home also has a spectacular view of the mountains. We were there in October and the leaves were turning.

Fantastic rental

Beautifully decorated and furnished. It has the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen. It has everything you could ask for. The private areas available (porches) were lovely places to sit and read. The beds were so comfortable we hated to leave them. We will be back for sure.

Wonderful cabin for family of ten

We truly enjoyed our stay for the week of Thanksgiving. The kitchen was spacious and allowed room for seven if us to prepare our own special dishes for Thanksgiving. There was also all of the pots, pans and dishes for preparing food. There was plenty of bedroom and bathroom space for everyone. The living room was roomy enough for ten people to comfortably sit, play games, open presents and watch movies together. The outdoor sitting areas were also used by the family. We loved our time at the firepit. We look forward to renting this cabin for our family again.

Wonderful home at the top of the hill

This is a wonderful home just a short drive from the lake. It is at the top of the hill above Junaluska with a magnificent view of Cold Mountain. The layout is fantastic for a large family. We especially enjoyed the chairs around the fire pit. You can walk to the lake, but it is uphill on the return. We found it very easy to drive approximately 2 minutes to the rose walk to park and stroll.

Perfect for our family

This home is nothing short of amazing. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes. There is enough space for a large family to fit comfortably and there are even (as our little called them) “hidden toys”. One example is a bin of mega blocks in a blanket box. We absolutely loved our stay here and the kids were excited to stay there as well. They are already asking when we can go back and we will definitely look at staying here again. An absolutely wonderful experience.

Music and Mountains

We were there for Music Week sponsored by The Fellowship of Worship Artists. We’ve stayed in many properties over the years and really enjoyed this one. It rained all week but we were able to get in one fire pit with s’mores. Great amenities, good beds, great water pressure with updated bathrooms! Loved the decor. Family retreat with nice views. Hopefully it won’t rain so much next year!

The view!

When we saw the listing for this cabin it looks as if it is on the lake, but it isn’t. The view from the bedrooms, at night and from the balcony facing the driveway, in the mornings is just breathtaking. There were nine of us there and there was plenty of sitting space for all of us in the family room. The kitchen is nice and spacious too. It is about one minute away from Dunkin Donuts, dollar general and other stores. Parking is a little tricky for three full size vehicles so when you get there one by one go ahead and turn your vehicle around and back in.

Birthday Bash

The property was really clean and well kept! We all enjoyed the view from the house and how spacious it was. The only downside to me were the pans in the kitchen , when cooking everything got stuck even with using the nonstick spray. Overall though i would give the property a 10/10
