Don’t Recommend

First off, we never received a door code when we were finally able to check in, of course it was a Saturday so I couldn’t reach anyone on the phone and ultimately had to call an emergency line, we finally got into the house, but then the internet was not working so we could not watch television which was difficult having toddlers who wanted to watch cartoons for nap and bedtime. I called about that who somebody finally reached out and said they would send somebody out but nobody showed up. The carpet in the house is gross. But the furniture was nice. The amenities to the pools were very nice but unfortunately didn’t have a great stay. I don’t recommend.

We did a family vacation at Kathy’s Cottage and it was wonderful. The location was perfect and the neighborhood was SO cute!

Great place

We had a great stay! Beautiful place and having access to the pool was awesome because we don't really care for the sand and salt going to the beach.

Kathy's Kottage July 2021

This was our 3rd time to rent Kathy's Kottage and probably our last. We love the location but the upkeep of the house has really gone down. The house needs a thorough cleaning, base boards are filthy and carpet is stained and tattered. The refrigerator water and ice maker don't work, big disappointment with 10 people and constantly having to buy ice since the closest store is 5 miles away. Kitchen table leg is about to fall off and had to be repaired while we were there. Dryer doesn't heat properly, it takes 2 or 3 cycles to dry your clothes. This was an issue a few years ago when we rented this house and should be replaced. We were very disappointed in the Beach Ckub as well. Both times we went, the water was so murky we didn't feel comfortable swimming in it plus it was dirty. Definitely needed to be cleaned and shocked. One last comment, it would be a nice addition if there was a ramp at the bridge leading to the beach, it's really a long walk and extremely difficult to get a loaded wagon up the steps.

Kathy's Kottage - Pointe West Review

Overall good long weekend getaway to Pointe West. Visited in May 2020 when there were restrictions on pool usage and reservations were required. This was not shared with us before arrival and we not able to make reservations. Property needs some TLC: Wicker bar stool seats were broken. One wicker patio chair was broken. Patio table was extremely rusted. Kitchen included old cookware and not enough utensils, esp forks. Bunk bed ladder not fully attached / not safe. Patio door curtain came out of wall (no drywall anchors). Shower curtain did not have magnets so wouldn't stay inside of tub. Property smelled of urine.
