We loved our stay at this beach house! It was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing couple of days by the water. The location was perfect—just a short walk or drive to the beach. The host was wonderful and always quick to respond to any questions we had, which made everything so easy. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful beach getaway!

Quick Trip!

Great home for a quick stay in the Surfside area! Not too far from the water or local eateries/ businesses. Host was able to accommodate a later checkout time as well. Overall very pleased :)

Mosquitoes were terrible until lawn was mowed (too wet) other than that good trip. Left a bbq pit for future guests

Perfect place. Water was quite stinky but to be expected with well water. The filter water in kitchen helped. Location was great!

Cute beach house close to the beach

My fiancé, son, and daughter stayed at this super cute beach house for two nights. House was exactly as described, which fit our needs exactly - convenient location, and comfy furnishings. Quiet, serene neighborhood that made having my morning coffee on the patio a dream - who wouldn't enjoy starting their day to the sounds of the gulf?! Next time we visit Surfside, we will definitely lookto rent this house again!

Should have stayed in a hotel

This is not a property I would ever recommend. We showed up to dirty sheets and a pile of wet towels on the bathroom floor. There was food in the sink and dirty knives. Animal hair throughout the house. So we had to do laundry and dishes as soon as we arrived. Why is there a cleaning fee? Also the water is has sulfur in it. I bet that a lot of properties on the island are like this, but we didn’t have bottled water with us when we arrived after a long journey. Visitors should be warned about this. Nothing was provided that is typical. There is no potable water, soap, shampoo or dishwasher soap. I guess guests are expected to bring all of these. This is more like a cheap youth hostel.

We've been to Surfside a few times, but this place was a blessing! When we first walked it the whole house was chilled and looked even more amazing than the listing pictures. It's an amazing place to book for a beach get away! Definitely will book again in the future!

The only reason I marked cleanliness as a 4 was due to the dishes... most were dirty or were rusted. Other than that, the house was nice and in a good spot. The owner accommodated us by letting us check in early. Communication was very prompt!

Pros 1. The cleaners seemed to do a good job. The house was pretty clean. The only thing we noticed was trash under the couch and between the couch cushions and the dishes in the cupboards were dirty/rusty. 2. The beds and couches are very comfortable. The furniture worked well for our family with the bunk beds. We did need more bedding. The beds only had a sheet and thin bedspread. Cons 1. The water quality in this home/area is terrible. The water smells very bad and leaves an odor on your skin. The property has what looks like a water softener system, but either it is not working or is not enough. We did not feel like we were able to get a good shower the whole time and had to brush our teeth with bottled water. 2. Much of the home needs repair, the doors won’t fully open from hitting the floor, a cabinet door is missing, lots of the fixtures are rusted, the deck has nails sticking up and needs paint/repair, paint is peeling from the walls in the bathroom, etc. 3. It is also not “near” the beach. It’s at least a 1/2 to 2/3 of a mile walk. So we had to drive to the beach. Overall, it met our needs but we were not that comfortable. We would not recommend this rental unless the water issue is resolved for sure and many repairs are made.

Lacking some amenities, especially outdoors

Great location,very clean. Disappointed there wasnt any information on local attractions and resturaunts. Limited outdoor seating, two wood chairs without cushions. No covered area to sit. No outdoor dining area. Basic kitchen amenities but no baking pans (cookie sheets, etc). Charcoal grill, no charcoal or tinfoil so we did not use grill. Owner did respond quickly to issue with front door (would not open all the way because floor/doorway warped or settled) but unable to resolve by just "pushing door all the way open".charcoal or tine foil so did not use

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I love the quaint, beachy feel of Surfside as well as the actual beach. The beach is ideal for my son because it has the long slope into the water for him to get plenty of surf without the deep water.

We think our house is great because it's the perfect size for a family vacation, a walkable distance to the beach, an outside shower (for after beach time), and has 2 full bathrooms.
