White Heron Nest is a 2-bedroom remodeled and beautiful apartment with water views in downtown Cedar Key, less than a 10-minute walk to Dock Street!

Great for 1 or 2 couples or families with kids.

This 2nd floor unit offers 2 bedrooms with queen beds, Wifi, smart TVs in both living room and master, kitchen w/ full stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots/pans, dining table, and washer/dryer. There's also a sizable dining table with plenty of space for 4. Perhaps the most sought-after amenity is the parking, which is right out front with a private overflow lot located a very short walk from the building. Just ask about boat trailer parking!

**For larger groups (up to 8), book along with Blue Heron, which is a mirror of this one and located right next door!**

Girls Trip

Cute and Cozy

The apartment was cute and cozy, very clean, perfect location, perfect little island. We will definitely come back to Cedar Key, but I will not book with this property owner again. I had 3 deposits pending on the day we checked out and owner was quite rude when I inquired.

Great place

We had an unexpected visit to Cedar Key when my husbands uncle died and we were scrambling trying to find somewhere to stay. They were very accommodating and very helpful for any questions we had. Very quick to respond, which was very nice! Definitely recommend them if you’re needing somewhere to stay in Cedar Key!

Great place to stay

The location, check-in and property were everything we were looking for. Easy walking distance to town and restaurants, quiet location and cleanliness were important to us and did not disappoint. We will be back!

Cool area, cool place

It was awesome! Only stayed 1 night, so we didn't utilize much of what was offered (tv, range, coffe maker), but the unit was very clean, and very comfortable. I hope to stay here again.

Work travel post-Debby

We stayed for only a few days after hurricane Debby as part of work/research travel. Particularly with a storm in mind, Lauren was communicative and updated us on the status of the property. Everything was clean and looked as promised in the photos. Easy check in and out, clean and comfortable place to return to each day, an overall great stay.

The place is quiet, clean and kitchen has all necessary tools to cook. Only, negatives are the smoke/fire alarm is overly sensitive and it's a long haul to bring in luggage and other supplies.

Great property to stay at for a short trip. Stayed 4 nights and the place was very convenient to everything in town. Bring your own face towel if you wear makeup. The stairs are a bit of a workout hauling things back and forth but doable.

Despite the crazy rain and wind outside during our stay, we enjoyed playing games and relaxing inside. We did get to enjoy the swing on the porch on Saturday afternoon. Being right next to Annie’s was great! The only downside were the stairs for my elderly mom.

It was a quiet neighborhood. We felt a little self continuous about bothering the downstairs neighbor because it's loud walking barefoot through the apartment. The smart tv was nice and the rates were reasonable.

Comfortable & Convenient

As a repeat VRBO user, around the world, I was very pleased with the White Heron. My friend and I stayed only one night, between fishing charters (successful) so didn't cook, but found the property clean and comfortable. Our wives would have been pleased by the decor. The beds were comfortable (a comment I always look for in reviews. The neighborhood was fine, and the door code made arrival easy. (Small potential negatives: we couldn't operate the TV -- there must be some trick, so ask; and there are stairs, so if climbing is a problem..... Overall a nice experience and good price for 2 bedrooms. Thanks.

The apartment provided a peaceful and comfortable retreat, allowing me to fully unwind and enjoy the beauty of the island. The professionalism and attentiveness of the property management team were commendable. They were responsive to any inquiries about parking before my stay, ensuring a hassle-free experience from start to finish. Looking forward to return trip in the future!

I liked the feel and look of the place. I didn't like the beds because they were too hard. I could not get the tv to work because there was something wrong with the internet or the cable, The outside steps on the stairs needed some kind of aluminum edge or fluorescent so you can see them better.

Loved the location for walking around town. Only one of the two bedrooms was usable due to continuous modem noise. Screens in the windows need repair. Rugs need shampooing or replacement. Second floor was not ideal with heavy bags.

Clean, comfortable, convenient

Check-in and out was smooth and easy, and the host is very responsive to questions. This property is a short walk from "downtown" Cedar Key, providing easy access to restaurants and activities, but just far enough to be quiet and peaceful. The building is older so sometimes you can hear tenants or other guests, but again it is generally quiet during the day and definitely quiet at night. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials for cooking, beds are comfortable, and linens are clean. Overall my greatest satisfaction was with the cleanliness of the apartment. It was a nice, clean, comfortable place to come back to each day. I've stayed in many places across Cedar Key over the years, but hands down would choose to come back to this one over other rentals.

They're excited to have expanded into Cedar Key, where Lauren spent time as a child while visiting her grandmother, who has lived in nearby Chiefland, FL, her whole life.
