Great home / great decking

We have stayed in Attitude Adjustment over a dozen times. We love the practical layout, mini bar, placement of decks that work for different times of the day, and the easy access to the beach. We've tried other homes, but only when we can't Attitude Adjustment!

Annual Avon Awesomeness

This house was practically perfect- we were able to spread out with our four teens (essential) and enjoy family time as well. The table was great for family dinners and game nights. The couch was perfect for a large family movie! The kitchen is well stocked - felt like home! Great views all around of both the ocean and the sound!

20th visit to attitude adjustment

Everything was excellent as per usual, decking and carpet and kitchen are WONDERFUL. Terrific place for groups large or small with easy Access to The Atlantic.

Very accommodating home

The house fit 4 adults and 4 children perfectly. Plenty of room to spread out and not be right on top of each other. It’s located confidently to grocery options as well as off road vehicle access to the beach. The community pool was a great addition.

Perfect family vacation!

The house was clean and well equipped for our family to cook, eat, and play. There was a short beach access to the beautiful Avon Beach. The decks surrounding the house gave us great views of the sound and the ocean. We hated to leave, and will definitely look at staying here next time!

Great house. Great views.

This house is situated between the ocean and the sound and you have beautiful views of both from the living rooms and of course the many decks. The house is huge with 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 3 bathrooms, a wet bar, and spacious fully stocked kitchen. We absolutely loved our stay there.

This house is the perfect location for those who love sunrise & sunset! The views from the 3rd level look out are spectacular! There is plenty of room in the house and several decks to enjoy the sunshine. The kitchen is well equipped for those who love to cook. The easy beach access was great for taking our dog for a run on the beach. I highly recommend this property. It has been my husband's favorite so far!

Great experience

Overall a really nice home. Very spacious, close to the beach and stores, well equiped. A few frustration that could easily be fixed :(dishwasher is filthy and stains dishes, a few broken things to repair/replace and cleanliness of the sheets)

House was less than advertised. Need more drinking glasses, coffee cups, silverware and decent pots and pans. Not thrilled with Vacasa, we have rented almost twice yearly for over 30 years with Outer Beaches. Going with surf and sound for thanksgiving and next October.

Cleanliness

There were stains on the carpeting in every bedroom. There were crumbs also left on a cutting board. I contacted Vacasa about the stains and sent photos immediately upon arrival. They stated they would remedy the situation but did not contact me back. Thank you.

if only the door locks worked!

i want everyone to know we had a wonderful time at the property. Our problem was with the door lock. When we arrived, it did not work. On the phone, we were given other codes that did not work. They called the local on-call guy and he was great. Used a code that got us in the house once. After he left and we were in the house, we had to leave all the entrances unlocked to make sure we could get in the house. They promised to come out the next day and correct the situation. But IT NEVER HAPPENED!! So, that was the black mark on the time there. Otherwise, we found the place to be near perfect! everyone enjoyed the property and the chance to relax. FYI, in a stiff wind, the house does sway. Freaks you out the first time, but we got used to it. We are already planning to return in the fall during shoulder season!! Would recommend...if they get the locks fixed.

Enjoyed our stay

Location was great and home was very cozy. Very large living area. Mattresses could use some upgrades as they are very firm. If bringing pets be careful walking them because cactus around house are pretty bad.

Attitude Adjustment Review

Sometime on Friday night and early Saturday morning, the house experienced a power outage. The circuit breaker box is located in a "locked" closet so we could not address the issue. We had limited electricity, but most importantly, we had no running water, therefore, we could not flush the toilets or take showers. We called the Avon Outerbeaches/Vacasa office at 5:00 a.m. and we were connected to a representative in Alabama. She was very helpful and she was going to contact a local property manager so the problem could be addressed. As of today, Tuesday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m., we have not heard from anyone from Vacasa. We have stayed in numerous houses in Avon over the past 30 years and do not recall a house that had the circuit breaker box in a locked closet. The house was spacious and the kitchen was reasonably equipped. However, considering Vacasa will not allow access to the houses until 6:00 p.m. so that the cleaning staff can clean the houses, the house was reasonably clean, but we wanted to put some items on top of the refrigerator but could not because it was filthy. The blades on the ceiling fans in the bedrooms were black with dust. The house is unsafe for older people and young children. There are no grab bars in the bathrooms and the tubs are slippery. The deck railings are splintered. Because of our experience regarding the electrical outage and lack of access to the circuit breaker, I would not recommend this house nor renting from Vacasa.

I want to thank you for the wonderful time we had at your rental in Avon. The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable with all the amenities. It is truly a home away from home. I particularly enjoyed the pool and relaxing with one of the many books available. Spent a lovely time in the picturesque town of Manteo and the Cape Hatteras Museum which was close by.
