Beautiful Villa

Our family had a great stay! We loved the sunrise views and breeze from the balcony. The pool/patio area is a great place to relax. We enjoyed the variety of flowers and plants on the property and seeing an occasional hummingbird. The property manager and owner were very nice and gave us some good recommendations. We’d definitely stay again.

Great house for a family

This house is charming, well-appointed and perfect for a relaxing family get-away. Our family of four have an amazing week… close to beaches and restaurants and gorgeous vistas all around. Rob was super helpful and answered all our questions immediately. Stanis is also an amazing resource for getting around and helped make this a fantasy holiday. A definite repeat for us.

Heaven within heaven

St. Lucia is already an amazing place to be and this villa was the slam dunk to an amazing vacation. the property is nestled within a quiet neighborhood where you have complete privacy and all of the amenities one could need. the open air fire floor is a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor living. the property manager is beyond friendly and sent helpful recommendations to ensure my wife and I were comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better host, or a better villa to host my wife and I after our destination wedding.

A perfect and secluded villa

The Villa was beautiful in a very secluded area about an hour and half from the airport. If you’re looking for an enjoyable place to relax, Villa Zatarra was perfect. Both he, his driver (Stanis) and housekeeper (Nancy) were in constant communication with us the entire 7 days! Rob even called us as we were traveling back to airport which was a pleasant ending.

Stunning property with breathtaking views! This indoor/outdoor property offers spacious areas, a fully furnished kitchen with everything you could possibly need and your own private pool. There are a few beaches within 1.2 miles, one on the Atlantic and a few on the Caribbean side. The property is private, gated and very safe. The owners are so nice, friendly and helpful. They communicate timely and even came to check in on us and make sure we had everything we needed! The housekeeper, Nancy, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was relaxing without lifting a finger! The villas driver, Stanis, was phenomenal always making sure we got wherever we wanted to go anytime we needed!

Breathtaking Villa

Villa Zatarra was extraordinary to say the least. The pictures on the website are beautiful but in person, it is even more so. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the Villa to tour the Island, which is absolutely magnificent. It was a very short drive from the Villa to Rodney Bay where the restaurants were as fantastic as the beaches. The owner's were gracious and went out of their way to accomodate our every need. There was nothing we lacked and each day was a new adventure as we sampled the exquisite cuisine and explored the culture that is uniquely St. Lucia.

My husband and I truly en...

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at Villa Zatara. The villa and it's grounds are so aesthetically pleasing you feel the need to walk around to catch it at different angles. The views of the ocean are wonderful along with the soothing ocean breezes. My favorite was lounging in the hammock on the upstairs balcony, what a relaxing pleasure. We spend many a day at the local Almond Bay Beach (a true jewel). Check it out and ask for Miguel at the oceanfront bar. You will enjoy this villa and St. Lucia. The worst part about St. Lucia is having to leave.

Great location

This house was everything we expected. Clean, well stocked and a great location. Gated property in a super up scale community. Only 7 minutes from town. The house keeper came every day. The pool was cleaned daily. Nancy even did our laundry. The main bedroom is so private. Great communication with the owner, Rob. He checked in on us a few times. Absolutely will stay again. On a non house related comment.... The island is amazing. The people are the friendliest folks anywhere. Always felt safe everywhere we went. Day or night.

Wonders in wonders

The Villa is beautiful, proudly surrounded by colorful flowers, bushes and palm trees. The upper bedroom breathes calmness and beauty, you can admire the ocean and relax in the shade on the balcony. Thé pool is also a nice place to be as well as the other room all decorated with careful attention. The owner Rob, the housekeeper Nancy and the taxi driver Stanis know how to welcome guests with an perfect mix of professionalism and warmth. The aera is not least, neighbouring by embassies and rich houses and villas. It was always a pleasure to walk the 20-30 minutes to the Atlantic or the Caribbean sea or even the North very end. A very good taste of the peace of Saint-Lucia. To us, it was a dream week!

Absolute Paradise

This villa is amazing! From waking up to the most beautiful sunrises right from our balcony to floating in the private plunge pool we felt like we were in heaven! Rob, the owner was always available for us for any of our needs or suggestions on things to do. He even invited us to one of his performances, which I still have goosebumps from . Nancy, our sweet housekeeper was amazing and always made sure we were well taken care of. Stanis, the recommended driver was invaluable! His private land, and Sea tour is a must do!! The location from our experience travelling around the island was one of the best spots to be! Close to beautiful,quiet Reduit beach, the Friday night street party, Pigeon Island, and Rodney Bay. We couldn’t be happier with our stay. What are you waiting for … just book it you won’t be sorry!!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Beautiful location..the private pool is awesome. Loved the open air lower level. AC worked perfectly in the bedroom (the only room w/air conditioning). The balcony off the master has 2 hammocks and the breeze is perfect as is the view... While this villa is starting to show its age (toilets need updating) and stove could use an update...it served us well and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The driver, Stanis, is pleasant and picked us up from the airport and took us back for our return home. The roads are constant switchbacks and hairpin turns. So be ready..haha. Stanis handled it like the pro he is!! Don't forget your bug spray...the mosquitoes are relentless. Enjoy...you won't be disappointed.

Great location!

We had a great stay at Villa Zatarra - the property is exactly as pictured. Plenty of space for our group of 4 & felt like we still had some privacy from each other. The balcony from the master was a great space for morning yoga or lounging in the hammock in a shaded space. While the pool wasn’t big enough for swimming, we appreciated having a place to cool off & the decks provided equal space for sunbathing & shade. The location of the Villa can’t be beat! Close to many activities in the north of the Island - Rodney Bay was a very short taxi ride with many great restaurant options. Definitely utilize the Villas preferred driver, Stanis!! He not only provided all our transfers during our stay, he helped us organize our list of activities & set up various things for us, including dinner reservations, private massages in the Villa & other tours. And after seeing the winding roads of St Lucia - I sure am glad we didn’t get a rental car!

Truly Spectactular Villa and Great Location

We enjoyed a truly exceptional experience on Saint Lucia. The Villa Zatarra was a stunningly beautiful base of operations on the north end of this enchanting island. Great communication from Robert the owner. We fell in love with the cool plunge pool on the property and I spent as much time in there as I could, including for every sunrise. The early morning and late night swims with all the amazing surrounding flowers and plants it was just so enchanting. The area is so quiet and chill but still so close to many adventures. We rented fat tire Ebikes during our stay from April and Ron who just started a new business in Rodney Bay called Sunset Ebikes and this gave us the ability to explore off road and on very remote trails both on the Caribbean and Atlantic sides and the ability to explore remote beaches inaccessible to automobiles. Nancy the housekeeper was a true blessing as was Mr. Stannis when we had transportation needs beyond the range of the Ebikes. We elected to transfer from the UVF airport via St. Lucia Helicopters and it was an amazing flight both ways, also highly recommend. Villa Zatarra has everything you could possibly desire and the folks of St. Lucia are a tightknit community full of warmth and love.

Beautiful tropical paradise!

Wonderful private home in the northern part of St. Lucia. There are several wonderful beaches near by also near many good supermarkets and restaurants. I would recommend having a car. It will allow you to poke in and out of the many spots to go. (I read many things on line about driving in St. Lucia. It is totally fine! Just take it slow especially through the mountains.) The home is romantic and much nicer than the photos! Great for a family. Sleeps 4-5 easily. Also good for two couples there is a master bedroom upstairs with a bathroom and a bedroom downstairs next to a bathroom. Rob is super will take care of any need. Go hear him play if you can he's awesome! I would highly recommend a few days in Soufriere. We stayed at the Crystals which was also amazing. If you like to be on your own and have privacy this home is wonderful! A tropical paradise in every way!

I don't even know where to start. The pictures do not even give it justice. From the beginning rob scheduled us a driver and made sure everything was cordinated before our arrival. The driver stanis is one of a kind, and i urge you to use him for all of your excursion and taxi needs. Hes polite, and always goes above and beyond. The house was perfect and has everything you will ever need to be set up. Stanis on the way in took us to a local store and got us set up right away and gave us a tour of the house. Rob also came and introduced himself, very professional and offered to answer any questions we had. When visiting some place new, having rob and stanis was a must. Rob also does play saxophone and does gigs on the island. We went to see him and it was truly a experience in itself. I will be back here in the future. If youre visiting st lucia and not staying at this villa you're not doing it right. Book this place you will only wish you stayed longer!!!

A fantastic vacation

Had an awesome experience on Saint Lucia with the family. The Villa Zatarra is a great house to call home Well on the such a beautiful island. Great communication from Robert the owner. Both Robert and Verron called to check in on us and to welcome us to the island as soon as we were picked up by Stanis. Robert even visited us at the villa on our second day there to meet us in person as well. He is a very chill fella and can tell he really loves the island himself. You have the option to use Stanis for all of your travel needs and it would be silly not to. Stanis picked us up at the airport took us to this super tasty road side spot selling fresh bread and my son tried the salted cod on a delicious fresh roll and he fell in love. He is very professional, knowledgeable and so kind. We had our 11 year old son with us and he was so great with him. He really made sure to include him in all conversations and remembered everything he liked for our whole trip. If he is unable to provide you with a taxi service, he will find you someone else to help and they all carried the same traits. Nancy the house keeper was super respectful and you can tell she really cares for the property. I fell in love with the private pool on the property I spent as much time in there as I could. The early morning and late night swims with all the amazing flowers and plants around it was so relaxing. The area is so quiet and chill but still so close to so much.

Island Getaway

We spent a week in Villa Zatarra. It has a relaxed and open layout that lets the breeze come in. Stanis our driver and house manager was very professional and showed us the ins and outs for our stay. First off, I must say if you really want to relax, hire Stanis as your driver for the time you are there. He is in constant communication with you and will set up your activities as well as dinners and his recommendations are all good. He is also an excellent driver. His team if needed, are all professional and are there to please. The Villa sits on a hilltop overlooking the golf course and the Atlantic ocean beyond. The view is best taken from the nice covered patio off the master bedroom. We had plenty of space and choices of different patios depending upon the weather. Since it rained off and on during our stay we spent most mornings inside overlooking the pool deck and landscaping or upstairs on the patio. We kept the house open when home and only used the AC in the bedroom just before bed. The pool is small and cool, but makes for an excellent dipping pool. We found the kitchen to be well stocked and cooked several dinners in. The location is excellent, walkable to several beaches. The bed was comfortable. The house is older, but kept very clean by Nancy. TV is small but didn't need it. WiFi excellent. Robert is very nice and accommodating, he and his wife have created a great vacation rental! Would highly recommend Villa Zatarra.

Zatarra is serenity!

We were greeted promptly by the pre arranged arrival pick up. He was pleasant, professional and gave us a great tour of the island as we crossed it from the south to the northwest on our over an hour trip to the Villa. Making a few stops along the way for scenic overlooks, fresh baked bread and fresh squeezed juice. He also stopped in Rodney Bay for us to get groceries and needed amenities. He gave us his grocery discount card and loaded the groceries for us!! When we pulled up to the villa, it looked exactly as the pictures and we were greeted by Veron, the owner. The villa was beautiful and serene. Pool was the perfect temperature and the waterfall soothing ( Rob even adjusted the waterfall timer to meet our requested times for when we were home at the villa so we could fully enjoy). Air conditioning is in both bedrooms as noted, and there is no need for it in the common areas due to excellent trade winds. Villa is well stocked in the kitchen as well as beach/pool towels. DVD player is not compatible to USA DVD formatting however the villa had dozens of DVD's to select from with various options. Beds were very comfortable and sheets were soft. Any minor issues were attended to immediately and rectified. The openness of the villa creates a wonderful Caribbean feel bringing the outside indoors by opening all the double doors throughout. Keep in mind opening the doors you need to be mindful of the mosquitoes. We knew this in advance and brought citronella candles with us as well as mosquito coils. The candles only added to the exquisite ambiance. Rob and Veron live next door though you wouldn't know it and they are super respectful of your privacy. Their long standing knowledge of the island is a bonus as Veron gave us a local tour of beaches, restaurants and local stores even stopping to introduce us to fresh coconut water. All of Veron's suggestions were outstanding from the restaurants such as the Cliff at Cap to the naked fisherman as well as her beach suggestions. Having rented for a week we had complimentary access to the villa vehicle and that proved to be invaluable. We also spent a couple afternoons hiking Pigeon Island National park eating at Jambe de Bois and Chef Robby's. Never have we had better conch than at Chef Robby's and we have traveled extensively in the Caribbean. Conch is our favorite, even catching our own and cooking but nothing surpasses Chef Robby! Best enjoyed with a Cold Piton! We truly enjoyed our stay

St. Lucia Oasis

This villa is truly one of a kind tiny paradise oasis. My husband and I rented the villa for 7-nights for our fist time trip to St. Lucia to celebrate our Honeymoon. We could not have asked for a better stay. The house itself is so unique - providing a neat open air space, perfect for lounging by the private pool or playing card games inside. There are two bedrooms, one on the main floor and one on the second floor. Both are lovely. We stayed in the main bedroom on the second floor, complete with a private balcony and two hammocks. The house alone would have been enough to ensure a great trip, but the added restaurant recommendations, quick communication, and overall friendliness of our host, Rob, tipped this trip into unforgettable territory. Rob made the villa easy to find and to access. He also provided a great reference package of the island; beaches, restaurants, activities complete with a helpful description of all. We will absolutely be making this a repeat trip!

Quiet Villa in a Tropical Setting

The Villa is a spacious home with an equipped kitchen and several sitting areas inside and out. It's quite private, with its own (small) pool and deck; it's less than 15 minutes' drive to Rodney Bay which has many restaurants and shopping venues. There are a couple of friendly resident cats who come and go as they please - a bonus for our group (all cat lovers) as they provided daily entertainment, including stealing our breakfast one morning when our "chef" turned his back!Nancy the house cleaner (and pool lady) is very friendly and will try to take care of any of your requests. She seems to show up three days a week, so if you need stuff (clean towels, etc.) you have to plan around that. One day Nancy showed up with a young man who presented us with green coconuts ready to be opened for coconut water and "jelly" flesh for snacks.Rob Taylor is an interesting character with a lot on the go, and a source of much information - he is very quick to respond to text messages. Rob also provides musical entertainment at some of the better restaurants in the area and you should try to catch one of his shows. Something lacking in the Villa is a "What to do in St. Lucia / Gros Islet" list/pamphlet. In summary, the Villa offers a quiet tropical retreat with easy access (rental car a must) to beaches, shops and lots of eateries. Some visitors might prefer a more "ready-made" resort shared with a multitude of guests, but if you want your own space, then this fits the bill.
