New owners in 2022! If you have dates that are less than 7 days, please contact us and we will try to accommodate the dates.

Our 4 BR/3BA 1400-square foot open floor plan one-floor home is on the west end of Dauphin Island with a well-equipped kitchen, new furniture, and amazing views of both the Bay and Gulf. We just added a Master Bath in March 2023. Included is Xfinity’s highest speed internet WiFi for streaming (or work…). New washer/dryer. Great room has large flat screen with blu-ray/DVD player, and hook-up for your own media (Roku, Firestick, laptop, etc). Gas grill out back with outdoor table/chairs and a lower deck with picnic table and more chairs.

On a half-acre, our home has its own sandy beach front perfect for playing or sunning, and a pier/dock where you can fish, swim, crab, or just chill. Bring your boat or wave runners! We have a lift on our pier, too. For those who haven’t visited Dauphin Island before, the Bay side water is calmer and safer for families with younger children and our pier has a swim-up ladder at the end, but if you want the waves, you have private Gulf access right across the street! Use our beach wagon to pull your cooler and gear, or just drive over. We also provide three FREE kayaks and paddles for your use (2 singles and a tandem). We have a beach tent, coolers, beach towels, and chairs. Very relaxing to get out on the water on the Bay side. We’ve also accumulated a bunch of beach toys – buckets, boogie boards, etc, for your use. A couple fishing poles and crab traps, too. Completely loaded for a great day at the beach.

Master bedroom has a King bed, Master Bath, and private sitting area. Second bedroom has a Queen, third has two twins, and fourth has a bunkbed (no adults on top bunk). There is a sleeper sofa with an upgraded mattress that is actually comfortable. We provide linens for every reservation, including Fresh comforters (from our years of renting, we’ve found out that not many rental properties do).

And don’t forget Puppers!!! We are dog friendly!

Dauphin Island has so much to offer: great restaurants, beautiful beaches, the Isle Dauphine Golf Club, a small aircraft airport, and an Audubon Bird Sanctuary that has a 2.5-mile trail that empties out onto a beautiful beach where you won’t find a lot of people. You can also visit historic Fort Gaines on the island. There is a ferry that travels between Dauphin Island and Gulf Shores if you’re wanting to explore. If you’re an avid golfer, the Robert Trent Jones Trail begins about 30-minutes away in Mobile. And the USS Alabama is docked in Mobile Bay if you want to tour.

There is a dog fee and security deposit. Additional dogs are $15/night.

If there are any special requests, just ask us. A discount may be applied for stays of 28 days or longer during non-peak season.

Wonderful and well stocked

We usually book the same condo in Gulf Shores for spring break, but this time we needed to travel with our dog and wanted to invite the grandparents. The house was perfect! We loved having the dock on the sound as well as a four minute walk to the Gulf beach access. We didn’t bother with getting a free parking pass for it. We took full advantage of everything our hosts provided—fishing, kayaks, fishing from kayaks, crab traps (my dad was most excited about that prospect, but we only caught hermit crabs, lol. ). All we brought for the beach was our umbrella and swimsuits! There were plenty of beach towels and chairs. It definitely saved us room in the car for the dog and all of his stuff. The house is stocked with all sorts of movies (be sure to check the black cases in the cabinet). “Jaws” was the perfect movie for our arrival night. The house was very comfortable, we all slept so well and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a hand mixer to make frosting for a cake my mom baked at home. The day before we left we discovered it even had cake pans, so she could have baked it there. I really appreciated that it is not on the main island road, so there was no traffic out front. Thanks for being such welcoming and generous hosts. I would definitely love to plan a return trip!

Dauphin Island Retreat

Really well appointed and clean cottage perfect for two couples or a couple of families with small children. Great location with access to both the bayside and gulf side. Due to predominant north wind we spent most of our time on the gulf side...even managed to catch some keeper size whiting and one nice keeper redfish. Pete, the host, was very responsive and checking into and out of the cottage was very easy.

Beautiful house!

This was our first time in Dauphin Island and we loved it. The house was beautiful. It had the most equipped kitchen we've ever had. The veiws were perfect, the house was perfect. It was an excellent beach getaway.

Pure relaxation

We absolutely loved this beach house! It lacked nothing. The house is so well-appointed and comfortable! I fixed breakfast every morning and we ate on the large back porch. We took a short walk to the beach each day and I mean short. Took less than 5 minutes. This host has a large beach wagon to haul chairs and towels, and chairs and towels were provided! Saved us so much space in our car. My husband spent several days fishing from the dock with the provided gear! He loves to fish and it was nice to see him so relaxed and in his element! His final cast of the week brought in a 15” black tip shark! On our last day, the ocean was way too rough so we swam in the sound and had a blast! We are expecting our first grandchild and the sound is perfect for little ones! The hosts are super friendly and responsive!! They are absolutely 5 star hosts! If you are looking for a home to completely unplug and recharge, this is it!!

Best week ever

We had such a great expierence at this lovely home. We went to celebrate my moms retirement and have a low key beach week. We could not have asked for better. The house was perfect. Very clean and had everything you would need. The neighborhood was quiet and family friendly. The pier to the bat was amazing. Picture early morning sunrises with coffee, watching dolphins swim by. We enjoyed kayaking in the bay and walking the gulf side beach at sunset. The owners were super responsive and access was a breeze. Their book had all the local information you would need if i could give them 10 stars, i would. Thanks for a great time in your beautiful home!

Slice of paradise !

Wow !! First off, the owners were so easy to communicate with and so welcoming. The house was a dream. To tell you how great it was, we drove over 10 hours for the beach and didn’t go on it once the whole week because we had heaven in our back yard !! The house was spotless, smelled fresh and they had everything you could think of. Not having to drag beach chairs 10 hours because they had them there was a relief too. We will be back ! We’ve been on many vacations all over the US and we have to say this was the best one yet due to the location and the house amenities ! Book it !!

Daughin we miss you already!

Absolutely perfect place for us and family and pups. Owners were so helpful and responsive to any questions we had. The home location on the Bay is new for us this year and we loved that access very much. Quick walk to the Gulf beach as well makes this place a top ten location. I think we did it all - beachcombing, kayaking, swimming, countless walks, stargazing and a sunset and or sunrise photo contest that will never end. Everything you could possibly need is available at the home. We will be back next year!!! Thank you so much to Pete and Darlette for letting us share your beautiful home.

Family Holiday

First time for my family staying in Alabama. My family consisted of myself, my husband and our 2 adult children, their significant others along with our 2 dogs. This Vacation rental exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in a picturesque coastal town, with breathtaking views of the bay and quick a walk to the Gulf. The interior was tastefully decorated, with perfect blend of amenities and charming beach touches! Listening to the waves eating dinner on deck was very tranquil! My whole family left with cherished memories! Thank you!

First trip to Dauphin Island

We were looking for a place with a dock to fish off of and a beach nearby. This place was awesome. The entire family had fun at the beach all day, the house was a short walk away so we could go back whenever we needed to. The whole family had fun at the dock fishing at night and watching the hermit crabs. We hope to make this an annual trip.

The house had everything and than some. It was clean and everything work. Kitchen was stocked with all dishes you need and seasonings you need too. The owners sre friendly and responds in a timely matter. I would stay here everytime i come to dauphin Island 🏝.

Relaxing Spring Break

Exactly What We Needed

This home was perfect for our family and pup! The seating was comfortable and flexible with plenty of cozy blankets and pillows for snuggling in for evening games and movies. The porch and decks were great spaces relaxing with coffee and sorting shells. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need and much more! The bay was perfect for kayaking with dolphins; gulf side was fun with kites and boogie boards. Quiet street, close to everything. Hope to return soon!

Big thanks to Pete & Darlette for sharing their home - quiet location, no traffic - start in the well appointed kitchen, quality new non-stick heavy duty cookware, serious cutlery/silverware, - love the cuisinart knives - new ice/water dispensing fridge, new washer-dryer, open living area, big TV, smart dvd, VAST dvd library, powerhouse wifi, ceiling fans in living room & bedrooms - covered patio. Pete was super responsive w/o being intrusive - RENT THIS HOME !
