THE SPACE

After parking just steps away from the Haus, you'll enter through the screen door onto the patio, then swim on in through the front door and into the open living area with vaulted ceilings, a 55" SmartTV, and a game cabinet (!).
The full bathroom (tub/shower combo) is right off the living room and includes shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
A chic bar-top dining table with seating for two is just off the kitchen, which is well-equipped with high-quality Nutrichef ceramic cookware, a set of Cuisinart knives, bakeware, a large refrigerator, oven, stove, and several small appliances (Hamilton Beach blender, Cuisinart toaster, and microwave). Free coffee and tea are included.
The master bedroom is just past the kitchen and includes a dedicated workspace, a bench for luggage, a charging hub, and its own Roku TV.
Up the whimsical spiral staircase, you're in the loft with two queen-size beds, a luggage bench, and its own entrance.

My fondest memories of my childhood are all from family vacations! I've traveled a lot, and my favorite type of vacation is the kind where you can come home after a day out on the water or a theme park and just... chill.
I designed my two A-frame "Vintage Villas" to be peaceful places to recover after a day of fun and sun. They're also packed with entertainment, so staying "home" for vacation is fun too!
Oh, and since I grew up here, I know a TON about the Central Florida area (especially the places tourists haven't ruined yet ;-)), so please feel free to ask me anything you'd like as you plan your trip.

Mermaid Haus is an idyllic, peaceful place where you and your family can create cherished memories -- again and again! It's fun to walk through the neighborhood with its winding streets dotted with large, stately live oaks. And fun fact: the retro-style "vacation village" neighborhood used to be owned by Disney back in the '70s!

Feeling touristy? The theme parks and dozens of major attractions of Orlando are all between 20-40 minutes away -- so are the famous Orlando outlet malls.
The Olympic-sized lap pool is heated, and you have full access to the shuffleboard courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, pickleball/tennis courts, car washing station, and picnic areas.
Outside the neighborhood, you're close to everything -- there are massage, nail, and hair salons within FIVE MINUTES of the exit. You'll find gas stations, excellent local restaurants and bars, grocery and drug stores, cinemas, and all kinds of shopping nearby.
Fitness fan? There are yoga, barre, and kickboxing studios, along with classic gyms like Planet Fitness, all 10 minutes away or less.
Love nature? Lake Louisa State Park is a few miles up US-27, but you have private access to Lake Louisa right within the community... with perks like a manmade beach, a fishing dock, and a picnic area with a charcoal grill. Swimming is allowed (watch for gators!) :) If you walk down the street to the left of the lake access and look for the Lake House sign, walk around the lefthand side to find a fishing dock with benches, easy water entry, and no grass, unlike the grassy picnic area. There is also a boat launch, but prior booking is necessary to unlock it.
