Location is the only thing going for this property.
Listing is incorrect: The A/C in the amenities is a small portable unit which will only cool one room. The result is a musty, humid, mildew laden house. The "half-bath" is an outdoor shower which is in the middle of what could be referred to as a small junkyard. House only sleeps eight if you put 3 people in the King bed or one on the sofa. The public beach is about a 25 minute walk away.
The ceiling had holes cut in it from what appears to be water damage. Walls also had holes and graffiti from previous renters. Base boards were removed, towel racks torn from the wall, provided towels smelled of mildew, smoke alarm laying on top of medicine cabinet in bathroom, ants in kitchen and dining room, sliding door doesn't lock, screen door broken and laying on the deck, slats in blinds missing, rotten floorboards and doorjams, doors without door handles, pedestal sink falling off the wall...to say the least the house is in disrepair.
During our visit the dishwasher was broken. Owner scheduled a repair during our stay. We came home to find the repairman working *alone* in the house. Owner simply opened the door and left.
Communication with owner was friendly and expedient. However, the rates charged for this property were not congruent the condition of the property.
Lesson learned: Staying in a hotel at half the price.
