Beach Bliss! Oceanfront 1BR Condo w/ Pool Access

Monterey Bay 429 at Big Fish Rentals. This contemporary condo boasts 2 Queen Beds as well as a Murphy Bed, a private balcony, LCD TVs, a private bathroom, full-sized appliances, and a kitchen table. The upscale furnishings and decor feature granite countertops in both the kitchen and bathroom, giving it a modern touch. The condo offers breathtaking views from both the balcony and the main living area and can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. It is tastefully decorated to evoke a beachy vibe and provide the enjoyment of an ocean view from the balcony. The bedroom features 2 queen beds for additional sleeping space, and there is a murphy bed in the living area. Located on the 4th floor, this unit provides awesome views of the beach and the city. There's also a large swimming pool and Jacuzzi on the 10th floor.

The kitchen is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, range, microwave/range hood, and there's a dining room table for enjoying meals in the condo. The resort features an oceanfront pool deck with an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, indoor water amenities including a pool, lazy river, kiddie pools, and a Jacuzzi. Additionally, there's a fitness room and attached onsite parking, with no need to cross the street.

Monterey Bay is situated in the upscale north end of the city of Myrtle Beach, approximately two miles from the downtown hotel section. It is conveniently located near restaurants, shops, entertainment, and other attractions.

It had a nice beach view. The place was decorated very nice.It was clean inside of the unit. The beds were not very comfortable . Someone had thrown food down the stairs .But we would stay here again.

It was a lovely place for the price per night. Would just suggest not taking a large vehicle because the parking for that is very tight and complicated to get into.

Check in and check out were a breeze. Julie was very sweet and checked in with us periodically. The condo was easy to keep clean and had a beautiful view. We got to see a couple afternoon storms roll in and out from the balcony. We will definitely use Big Fish rental company when we visit next year.

Check in process was painful. Multiple emails and verifications and problems etc. The property is not maintained AT ALL. The furniture was missing pieces and by pieces I mean the knobs on the dresser and tracks for the drawers. The paint is chipping everywhere and we found leftover items from previous guests under beds and in closets making it clear it had not been cleaned at all. No coffee pot, no beach/pool towels. Don’t expect sleep because the unit is adjacent to the Ice Machine which is frequented through the night and the beds are inches from the door
.which doesn’t fully close or lock without some muscling. Hosts were responsive but shrugged all responsibility to the HOA. The only thing real in the pics is the view.

We had an extremely pleasant stay, very peaceful and communicating with management was a breeze. We were very comfortable. Now, the parking is atrocious and I dig scrape one side of my truck. This was a bit nerve racking but would not prevent us from returning. Elton

Enjoyable Stay

We were happy with our stay. We paid the additional fee to check in early and didn’t receive the code before 2:00 but they were quick to rectify. There was a realtor in the condo when we arrived but they were super friendly and were wrapping up. Condo is a little dated but you cannot beat the location. There was minor damage to parts of the condo but it was clean. Our kids loved the short walk to the beach and the pool. We would definitely stay again!

Weekend Getaway

The checking policy for this unit is not explained at all well. As a good standing VRBO customer, I felt I had to go through hoops to check in. It wasn't VRBO it was Big Fish co.

You get what you pay for

Wasn’t expecting amazing since it was a last minute booking and I knew the location was older. However the room was dirty. Talked to the leasing group who sent another cleaner but there were so many problems I stopped telling them. Sand everywhere. Super dirty floors. Cabinets dirty. bugs. Just be aware it’s cheap for a reason. For all the rules they claim to charge u for if u break them they don’t hold up their end.

On the beach! Nice view, close to everything, noisy building.

We liked that we were able to walk right down to the beach from the building. Pools were ok, little crowded and kind of old looking. You can tell the building has age, it shows. The view from the balcony was great! Too bad that there were smokers near our room, that ruined our relaxing on the porch often. We also needed to turn the AC off when wanting to enjoy the porch, since the exhaust was right near you on the porch. The door to the condos are automatic, we were unfortunate to have a neighbor that didnt care about how the door slams if you just let it close. Like the wall shakes. This woke us up several times. Along with kids playing with the ice & pop machines, that are directly out the condo door. This also is probably why there were so many fruit flies in the unit. If you rent, bring trash bags. There was only the one in the can. I didnt want to buy some to travel back with.

Good home away from home.

What you see is what you get! A fantastic view of the ocean for a great price. It is a bit dated but was super clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds and pillows are comfy. The pool area is well maintained by staff. The location is the best. Walking distance to grocery stores, pharmacy and tons of restaurants. Hope to stay there again and would recommend it to others wanting right on the ocean for a reasonable price.

Clean cozy condo

Although a small condo it was functional for what we were needing for a long weekend at the beach. Beds were very comfortable as was the other furniture. Great view out the balcony of the pool area below and the beach! It is supposed to be able to sleep 6 but only had two drinking glasses and 2 bowls and 2 mugs. So a little low on dishes but maybe that is good because there is not space for a dish washer.We were tight with 3 people in it-would not recommend any more. A little musty smelling however everything was clean. The rental company was very responsive with my questions and easy to work with.

Great location

This property was located in a nice area with restaurants, activities, and shopping just a short drive away. It rained the first few days but the indoor pool area was super fun. The only reason we rated it a 4 because we used the Murphy bed and when we pulled it out there was some trash and dirt behind there and the floors throughout the unit were dirty. A good mopping would have been great. Other than that, the beds, kitchen, bathroom were great. Would stay there again.

Wonderful place with a great view

Spent the weekend visiting my daughter 
 Easy check in. Condo as described. Beautiful views. Perfect location to walk to Starbucks for my morning coffee and restaurants at night. Bonus was the 10th floor pool that was a hidden jem! Hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating to make sure we were as comfortable as possible. Definitely will be back!

Currently, my husband and I own a high-rise condo in Raleigh, NC. When we started looking for investment properties, we considered Myrtle Beach and found affordable oceanfront properties combined with fun amenities like pools, hot tubs, and perfect views of the Atlantic Ocean. We love Myrtle Beach because the palm trees in the pool area give a tropical feel, without going too far from home. We have one little girl and our condo is our other pride and joy. I am excited to help you have a perfect vacation and hope our condo can accommodate your needs. I want your experience to be perfect and would love your constructive feedback to make your vacation even more enjoyable. My husband provides our website and advertising for our family business, and I supply all the comforts of home. Our time is spent planning our next real estate purchase, building websites for clients, working out, playing with our daughter, reading, and cooking new recipes. When we get a few days to ourselves, we head down to Myrtle Beach to relax and enjoy.
