Seaside Escape Vermilion

Our cozy cottage is located a few houses from Lake Erie. Take a stroll through the neighborhood to Showse Park which has amazing views of the lake or visit Main Street beach for swimming, canoeing and more. There are dozens of great dining options for everyone; celebrate a special occasion at Chez Francois, have a meal on the water at Quaker State, order delicions BBQ from Your Pit BBQ, or visit local watering holes Rudy's (best wings) and Woodstock. Visit local shops downtown to find souvenirs.

Our home can sleep 4 people comfortably with a King size bed and a pull-out couch. We also have air mattresses. We also have a fire pit and corn hole set for outdoor enjoyment. Sit in sun room and relax. There's also a desk if you need to do some work.
1. Check-in is at 3 pm. You will receive check-in instructions at 9am the day of your check-in.
2. No smoking in the house. Smoking is allowed outside. Do not dispose of butts in the bushes or grass.
3. Please remove shoes in the house.
4. No parties or third-party visitors are allowed. Registered guests only.
5. Please leave used towels in the bathroom.
6. Please be respectful of the neighbors and keep noise levels to a minimum after 9pm.
7. Report any damages immediately. Any damages that exceed the deposit must be paid for by guests and will be reported to Airbnb.

House had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend - only a few steps from Lake Erie. Interior was very clean. Very quiet neighborhood with nearby park with beach access. Exterior and yard could use some TLC, but previous reviews had mentioned this and we agree that it doesn't detract from appeal of this rental.

Relaxing weekend getaway!

We spent 3 nights for our anniversary weekend. We needed a quiet, relaxing weekend to decompress. This was a perfect place to stay. It was comfortable, clean, and in a great area.

Nice place in Vermilion

The cottage was a nice place for us to stay while visiting family. Inside was so cute & clean. Very comfortable bed. Needs some work on outside but worked for us since we really only slept there

The house is lovely and beautifully decorated with many thoughtful conveniences like 2 coffee makers one drip and keurig with some pods, a basket of creamers, sugar etc. spices by the stove. Paper products and shampoo conditioner and body wash, plenty of towels and beach towels and we even saw a sand pail for kids in the closet. The only thing really needed are lamps. We bought a bedside lamp shortly after arrival as the overheads are too much or reading and relaxing in bed and nobody wants to get out of bed to turn the light off. A lamp option in the tv area too would be nice. Everything else was perfect and location to town is great. The Vermillion on the lake club where we attended a wedding was walkable even. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The host went out of the way to help as well. Hope to come visit again.

Perfect Getaway

This was our third time staying at this property and we absolutely love it!!!! It’s the perfect location and close to the downtown Vermillion area. The house is extremely clean, beautifully decorated and the host is very communicative.

Looks to be remodeled on the inside. There was lots of construction going on and loud in the area (not the owners fault). There were lots of and in the kitchen. The entire house smells musty, like there is mold somewhere, but didn't see any mold. The kitchen floor has a hump in it like there has been previous water problems? Overall stay was ok, but poetically wouldn't stay here again.

Vermillion On—the-Lake House

We were in town to visit our daughter and son-in-law for Thanksgiving. This house is in a great location and offered all the necessary amenities for 3 adults to stay comfortably. Unfortunately we discovered dirty dishes (from previous renters)in the dishwasher which the cleaning crew forgot to take care of. Things happen! The owner was quick to respond and apologetic. In spite of this in inconvenience I’d recommend this place for your stay!

Property was perfect for 2!Close to everything in Vermilion within a 3-5 min drive. Property manager is super professional and hospitable. Very well decorated for that beach town atmosphere you’re looking for. Highly recommend!

Relaxing stay

We needed to get away for a couple of days. Did some wine tasting, antiquing and just catching up on sleep. We really enjoyed this very nice cottage.

Perfect Relaxing Vacation spot

This house is so very comfortable, from the beachy decor throughout to the furniture. The location is perfect, close to many areas near the lake and Main St Vermilion shops and restaurants. We loved it and will stay again when we can.

Nice house. Outdoor area needs work

Overall this was a nice place. Ice maker would have been nice. Biggest issue was the outdoor area. Seems like it’s been neglected for quite some time. Owners should spend the money to clean up the yard, add a front porch for lake views and update the outdoor furniture. Other than that the place was clean and had all the basic necessities

Wedding Weekend

We had a great family wedding weekend in Vermilion. Easy walk to the venue down the street on the lake. The property was so cute and clean. Very comfy and had a relaxing feel to it. Don’t be swayed by the outside, it has a large yard, it’s just needs some TLC but the inside is great. Definitely would recommend and stay again. Thanks!

Beautiful interior

We had fun exploring the area and enjoyed the house. Me and my wife went to Main Street beach and Marblehead lighthouse are our favorites. Fiesta Cancun in Vermillion was a good restaurant. Granny Joes Ice cream was fantastic. The house was very nice and the bed oh so comfortable. We will be back but may need a bigger house, gonna bring our daughter. Thanks for the wonderful time!

Home away from home

We go up to Ohio usually at least twice a year to see our kids and grandchildren. This small cottage was perfect for us. Comfortable bed and very roomy overall. We will certainly rent here again!

2nd Time Staying - Perfect

We stayed here for a wedding 9/22 for 2 nights and loved it. Don’t let the outside fool you, this is one of the cleanest rentals I’ve ever stayed in. Very cozy inside, stones throw away from everything including the water. Brennan the owner is superb. Would recommend to anyone and will likely stay again.
