The Pollinator Tiny Bungalow is an immersive nature retreat for adults only, ideal for one or two guests seeking calm and connection. Hand-crafted by artists Raven and master sculptor Dustin Weatherby, who brings over 25 years of sculpting experience-every detail reflects their artistry. This eco-conscious hideaway rests within our 58-acre Hocking Hills preserve, offering custom art, a water view, and a serene space for wellness and creative inspiration. Every booking supports animal rescue.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to hiking all of the trails within our 58 acres.
We do not allow fishing, swimming, or hunting within our nature preserve at Raven's Retreat Hocking Hills.
While you are here, we want you to feel completely welcomed and free to explore around the property while doing your best to leave the smallest footprint possible. The Whippoorwill birds here lay eggs on the ground without a nest so please watch your steps on the ground. You must always stay on the trails.

Laurelville is a small town on the western end of the Hocking Hills. It is mostly comprised of nice farmers and kind hearted hill people. The closest larger towns are Logan, Circleville, and Chillicothe.
Ravens Retreat is a 2 mile drive up off Thompson Ridge East from Laurelville. A 25 to 35 min scenic walk on the heavily wooded two lane road, if you feel like you would like to walk to town. Laurelville has several businesses. Those being the Hocking Hills Visitor Center, Laurelville Fruit Company , Salt Creek Valley Bank ( AKA Vinton County Bank), Youngs Family Market, Gas Station, Family Dollar, Whites Hardware Store, A Grain Mill, Car Wash, USPS Post Office, and 6 restaurants. Those 6 restaurants are The Ridge Inn, The Village Café, Old Town Diner, L & J's Ice Cream & Pizza, Mam's Rusted Skillet, and Laurelville Pizza. We are particularly fond of Laurelville Pizza due to the delicious vegan/plant based pizza they make upon request.
If you are up for checking out some local art while away from Ravens Retreat, check out The Jack Pine Studio located 6 miles/10 min drive from the property. This studio focuses on glass work and is well known for intricate glasswork and live demos.
If for some reason you are meeting a group of people in the Hocking Hills, Laurelville has a nice playground and shelter house near the family Dollar.

Getting Around:
Ravens Retreat is in the Hocking Hills a little under 2 miles up a heavily wooded two lane road called Thompson Ridge Rd, just East of Laurelville Ohio. About a quarter mile down our driveway are two parking spots on the left side designated for Pollinator Tiny Bungalow guests. Parking is always free.
Other Things to Note:
There is a tree near Pollinator Tiny Bungalow containing honey bees. If you are allergic to bees, we ask that you visit when the weather is cold and the bees are less active. These bees have not attacked anyone but this is just for prevention purposes.
We have one senior, 15 year old, jack russel terrier mix named Peanut. He is on 24 hour security duty and likes to interact with guests. He is friendly with humans and knows how to charm for snacks. Big time! Peanut does not do well with other domestic animal companions, so we ask that you do not bring them.
No trash, liquid chemical fire starters, or cigarette butts are allowed in the firepit.
Keep your fires within the fire pit at all times and no higher than 2 feet.
Interaction with Guests:
We give our guests space but are available if needed. We, Raven and Dustin, are usually within a 5 minute drive of Raven's Retreat Hocking Hills.
