Overall, this is a good house with a lot going for it. It is spacious, updated, in a great location with convenient beach access, and the layout worked very well for our multigenerational family. The biggest issue was cleanliness at arrival. Our bare feet were noticeably dirty after the first evening, and frequently touched areas such as light switches needed more attention. Both pools had sediment/debris on the bottom, and the hot tub had green, unpleasant-smelling water with dark sediment, so we did not use it. We reported it Monday and, after follow-ups, the pool contractor came Thursday, drained and thoroughly cleaned it. With a nor'easter underway, we understood why the pools couldn't be fully cleaned then. There was also a large unfinished opening in a bathroom ceiling that wasn't disclosed before arrival. Advance notice would have been appreciated. Guests should know that linens are provided but beds are not made, and while the kitchen has cookware and dishes, plan to bring all pantry basics and consumables.Seaside Vacations was courteous when we contacted them, continued following up with the pool contractor, and gave us a late checkout because of the issues.Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The space, location, beach access and layout were all positives. With more attention to turnover cleaning and oversight of service contractors, this could be an excellent rental!
