DANGEROUS!!!!!
This rental was flawed from the beginning. The complex does not allow short term rentals, there is no check in process. The key was hanging on a hook by the front door for anyone to see. There was no phone number to contact. Both the complex and VRBO tried to reach out to the host with no response. There were no instructions inside the unit, no wifi, a phone jammer must have been present because phones would not work inside of unit. There were cameras in the unit that I unplugged. There was one set of towels for two people to stay three nights. The unit was very bare, almost sterile. The television did not work, no cable or wifi. The listing was taken down from both VRBO and Expedia while were were on phone with VBRO. This felt like a complete set up, like we were being watched, like a scene out of a movie about sex trafficking movie. VRBO should vet their hosts better, ensure that they are legally allowed to rent out their property. This could have been an extremely dangerous situation for anyone who did not have the awareness and law enforcement family background. It terrifies me to think of what two young girls traveling alone may have faced!
