Family Vacation

Our family stayed in this cabin for 5 days in July for our first-ever trip to Tennessee and it did not disappoint. I would have given it 5 stars, however, both mattresses were very uncomfortable. The cabin was clean when we arrived and the views were spectacular. We did get visited by bears a couple of evenings while grilling out, but they really didn’t bother us. The drive up to the cabin is very steep and winding, so be prepared.

Matterhorn

This was a replacement for a prior booked home that got cancelled prior to checking in because vacasa said that it did not have water. Matterhorn had lots of room but many bulbs were out, the hot tub had a green ring, coffee maker filthy, limited seating, plastic mattress protector, smoke detector chirped the entire time, and the bathroom walls were wooden and needed wiped down...there were brown/greenish smears on them.

Beautiful view but needs some TLC

Matterhorn Memories is in an excellent location - 15 minutes or so from Gatlinburg but out of the traffic and congestion. It has a beautiful view of the mountains and was the perfect size for our crew of six adults and two children. The home is showing some age and is need of updating. The stairs were very creaky and woke up the grandkids when adults were heading upstairs to bed. As several others have mentioned, some of the mattresses were quite uncomfortable. The home looked like it had been cleaned at some point and left for a while before our reservation. There were bugs in the tub. The hot tub was slimy and didn't appear to have been treated recently. The propone tank for the grill was empty. When we arrived, the cabin was quite warm and took a while to cool off.

Amazing stay

This cabin was great! We had a party of 8 and there was absolutely nothing we needed that wasn’t there right down to the q-tips!

Hurrication

We booked super last minute as we were hurricane Ian evacuated… everything was super easy and prepared for us. They even let us extend a day and it was no trouble at all to do. The cabin is beautiful and perfect for two families looking to adventure together ! Away from all the chaos of downtown, nice and peaceful !
