Where Country and Lake life meet! Located on the Upper St. Croix Lake, a 900 acre lake located in Solon Springs, WI. About 2 1/2 hours from the Twin Cities and 30 minutes south of Duluth/Superior. "Originally known as White Birch when founded in 1855, the town changed its name to Solon Springs in the early 1900s, when Thomas Solon started a spring water bottling works where Leo Creek enters the lake" (https://northcountrytrail.org)

It's the perfect place to enjoy spectacular sunsets, fish (Large mouth Bass, Small mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout and Walleye), take in nature (eagles, ducks, deer), or a dip in the lake. Minutes away from the public access that boast a wonderful picnic/grill area, natural mineral springs, ATV/snowmobile trails, and access to hiking trails, including the Brule-St. Croix Portage. Golf and local restaurants just minutes away. So many more things to do, but can't list them all - visit: https://www.visitsolonsprings.com

Our shoreline has a sandy frontage with some natural vegetation, which makes fishing from the dock perfect. We have dock space for your boat, 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks to help you enjoy your day at the lake (seasonal availability). Please bring your own life preservers - boating/paddle boating on the lake requires 1-life preserver PER person.

We are located on a quiet road, adding to your privacy. The cottage is equipped with everything you need including: fiber optic internet, smart TV, towels, pool table, gas burning fireplaces (upper and lower level), screened porch, fully equipped kitchen, and a lower level walkout. There is a washer and dryer on the main level.

No access to the garage but there is 4 parking spots.

13 minute drive to the Atrium wedding venue (about 7.4 miles). If you are attending a wedding at the Atrium please let us know. The Atrium has our information to share with guests.

"It's a dream house"

As stated by my kids, ages 9 amd 12, "this is my dream house!" We enjoyed the lake and spent hours on the kayaks and paddleboats provided. The home was dog friendly and made for the perfect lake getaway!

Cozy Getaway

I had a weekend getaway here with 6 of my girlfriends. We were incredibly comfortable in the house- it was well stocked with everything we needed. The screened in porch was wonderful protection from the bugs, while also enjoying the view and sunset over the lake. We would love to stay here again!

Beautiful wedding weekend getaway

Traveled into Solon Springs for a family wedding at The Atrium (Also very beautiful) ~ Beautiful retreat cabin for 3 of us (we probably could have had more family stay but it worked out perfectly) ~ Our host, Tracy was very helpful and made us feel right at home. Only wish we could have stayed longer :( ~ The first night of our stay it stormed pretty rough but the fireplace and pool table kept us very happy! ~ Next time we are in the area to visit family, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you so very much!

Upper St Croix Lake Hideaway

We loved this place on Upper St Croix Lake in Wisconsin. A lovely cabin with lots of space, well equipped, clean, kitchen, and a large screen porch overlooking the beautiful lake, easy access to clear water from the dock, and less than an hour to Duluth/Superior. We spent hours floating on the Lily Pad alongside the dock, a big hit with the children, while a bald eagle sat overhead.

Summer lake stay

Perfect stay for a week at the lake. Quiet neighborhood close to town and a few restaurants. I enjoyed the home and the yard was perfect for my small dog. The lake was clean. I heard and saw loons everyday. I saw eagles everyday. 3 season porch was perfect for the rainy day and quiet reading time. Would happily go back.

Sooooo Peaceful!

Fabulous property! Beautiful, clean, very well kept! Beds are super comfortable and great pillows too! The only thing you will need to bring is food/clothes. Property owners are very responsive to any questions. I would highly recommend staying here! You won’t be disappointed!

Perfect for our family!

We were in Solon springs for a wedding and stayed at Dave and Tracy”s vrbo. The online pictures do not do it justice that is why I rated the "accuracy of the online listing" at a 3. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised! It was perfect for our family of 6 with 3 little ones under the age of 2. The only suggestion I would make is to add hooks to the bathroom to hang towels, clothes, etc. It was very clean and and very comfortable! We will come back again!

Quiet get away

We really enjoyed staying here! The house was very nice, with attention to small details. The location is great! Close to wonderful State Parks, Lake Superior beaches, and North Country Trail, if you want short day trips. Spent mornings watching birds/wildlife, and sunsets on the pier fishing! Nice, quiet lake during the week, only a couple of loud party boats getting towards the weekend. The screen porch was super! Friendly neighbors, who will share fishing tips, and help get your favorite fish pliers out of the lake. Lol! If you are looking for a WI Dells place, which we didn't want, this isn't it. There are no chain restaurants, and no water slides!! Yay! This is an absolutely beautiful, natural area. Our only negative to the house, was there is dog hair everywhere. I knew going in that it was pets accepted, but I was surprised it wasn't cleaned better between. If you have pet allergies, seriously reconsider this one.

Fabulous!

My husband and I had a wonderful time during our stay. Love, love, loved chillin’ on the screened porch and playing pool in the evenings. Took a jaunt up to Superior/Duluth for an afternoon and hiked around Amnicon Falls State Park. The bed was comfy, and all the special touches ( s’more fixings, coffee bar, etc ) added a very welcoming touch! Thank you Tracy and Dave for the wonderful stay!

Great house, great lake

This house and property is even better than the listing! The house was super clean and we felt very welcome and relaxed there! We brought our boat and spent the entire day on the lake, which was clean and clear, and made several stops at the lakeside bar and grill! The fire pit was awesome with a nice supply of firewood and chairs to boot! We hope to make a return trip soon!

Pictures Do No Justice

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this cozy, but large cabin. The drive provided wonderful fall colors all the way to the front door. The backyard provides a beautiful view of the lake which can be seen from inside the cabin. There was more than enough space and activities to entertain everyone. Yet, the upper and lower levels provided space to enjoy each others company. My family and I spent the first night in the lower level playing games together. The sofa and beds were comfortable and there were plenty cookware and utensils with ample counter space. I wouldn't mind staying again, but would come earlier in the season to enjoy more of the lake.

David and I purchased this lake home the spring of 2022 as a quick getaway from our home in Duluth. We love the trails, history, the local golf coarse, and lake life living. We hope you will find it as peaceful here as we do. Yet, we are close enough to Duluth if wanting a day-trip experience.
